@@katbunn957 I saw a video yesterday of a couple living off grid, they grow their own food and raise their own cattle and chickens too but they just got tested for toxins and both had very high levels even eating all organic.
@@luciedagesse53yes, once the ground water is contaminated, or neighbour land is treated conventionally ther are no barriers which can stop the toxibs come in! I was contaminated in my youth, (in the70ies) than became vegetarian and in the 80ies organic, the toxins will be present in analysis!

@@xBrabus76 I actually read that, however even when I went through chemo treatment and I drank green tea, my iron levels were never low and my blood work was monitored frequently. Maybe it doesn’t affect everyone the same.
Most people I know may never have eaten a ripe strawberry. I grew up in San Jose, CA before it was Silicon Valley, and we even bought strawberries from local farm stands. Mom always added sugar, they were so sour. One year I planted some in my yard and tasted a ripe one: it was not sour, it was sweet! The problem was it had to be picked the minute it got ripe, red all the way through, no part of it white. A ripe strawberry is soft and delicate and will be immediately eaten by sow bugs, slugs, birds, and others. Eliagic acid sounds sour. My guess is that the strawberries studied were not ripe. Until the red color reaches the stem and goes down to the core, it will remain sour and not yet ripe.
This is true but it also depends on the variety. The ones they grow for supermarkets is a version of strawberry that grows big and solid so it can be transported easily. A real strawberry as you say lasts very little time and is soft and smaller than a supermakret version. I dunno if you have your families strawberry still but we have some old heritage varieties here and they grow much smaller less juicy more soft and kinda spongey if that makes sense. Very flavourful and not very acidic but akso not super sweet ...and if you leave them on the counter for a few hours they start to dry out and soften. Wheras supermarket ones are mostly flavourless (and its usually the flavour that is the antioxidant or phytonutrient medicinal thing) they last a whole week or more in the fridge. That is impossible for a ripe strawberry from the garden varieties and conditions.

Much respect Sir. Before seeing this I started eat spinach and kale. My distance vision improved to the extent that I had to get a new, lower prescription. My eyes have continued to improve and I am considering using reading glasses only.
Thank you Dr L! I recently had an issue with one of my eyes. Although I’ve worn glasses all my life to correct my vision to near perfect, my right eye couldn’t see by itself at all. It was disconcerting to say the least. Diagnosed with a macular pucker and had it repaired. Better, much…. But less than perfection. The scariest part was a diagnosis of glaucoma suspect! That had me sitting straight up!! I don’t think I’ll get it but wow I sure don’t want to lose my vision as I age. Watercress I have infrequently, but will up my intake!! And Costco now has a great price on their frozen organic strawberries and I keep a bag in the freezer at all times. It’s great to hear that food is still medicine. I take the Land Z supplements also. Not a fan of tea but I can certainly a cup a day as a preventive measure. Food - amazing!!!
Kale has a lot too and not too expensive easy to eat a bunch. They say 7 to 10 green leafy veg a day. I dont do anything close to that. At most maybe 3 usually one sometimes none. I dont know how anyone is eating 7 cups of greens!
Thank you so much for this video . I will be 62 in 4 months, I noticed my sight have gotten terrible . I have to use over the counter glasses just to read labels.
I eat meat, butter, eggs, and cheese, and drink coffee with butter and mct oil blended through it. INo sugar! i am 69 y/o female in Australia and I walk and cycle every day. My brain health is sharp as always and I am physically healthy. No pain and no meds whatsoever, after years of back and neck pain from 30 year motor vehicle accident. Our health is a top priority!
@@amichaels1871 I don’t use one brand. More importantly it is always organic. Organic lemon. A small amount of organic cane or raw honey. I make a gallon at a time.
Ok yes organic might be a bit better, however all vegetables, fruits you buy in groceries stores all have poisonous chemicals sprayed on them 🤷🏼♀️. So how many people watching this video grow all their vegetables are fruits 🤷🏼♀️🤔. So how much poisonous chemicals are you consuming daily to help you live a better lifestyle 🤔. Ps. Why is he wearing glasses 🤓🙈.
Q humble request to share some more Indian Asian Raw fruits for better Gut health issues, SIBO issues, passing stool without any sensation and frequently urrination issues s..
Hi Doc you are my idol now, it’s a blessing you share all your research. Do you have advice to protect your hearing loss, isvygere can we eat that help us? Thank you again you are a profound help to all.
Yes to getting superfoods through food! The real question is though, how much, how often? My body is unhappy with acidic foods. Do you still get the elagic acid in strawberries if they are cooked (the only way I could eat them). Also, the AREDS instructions say you take then 2x a day, not 1x a day, fyi.
They say 9 cups of leafy geeens which seems a lot to me. 5 a day is america but in other countries they say get your 9 a day. Or a rainbow of colours from yellow to purple through green. Acidic foods are so good for so many reasons. Your stomach is supposed to be acidic. And bitter foods asoppsed to acidic foods help stimulate bile. Which neutralises the acid before it goes from stomach to intwstines. So maybe you have a lack of bile? Or bad bile flow. If you take a bitter leaf like dandelion or chickory (bitter being different to sour or acid) and chew it well before a meal this helps stimulate bile productiona and flow which neutralises the acid as your food goes through. This might help I dont know just an idea might bw worth trying. The thing with cooking is a lot of those vitamins are acidic. Like vitamin c. And protiens like lutien i believe are more concentrated in raw leafy greens. I think i saw a rhonda patrick video about kale and lutien that said that. So cooking them moght lower the amount. But the acid shouldnt be getting past your stomach as the bile should neutralise everything to alkaline. You could also overproduce too much bile which would make everything too alkaline and irritate your gut too. Hard to know. Have a look into bile on here and there are some things you can look at (things in the toilrt) that can tell you fi you make too mcuh or too little. Like how you react to fats and things like that. Might help figure out whats going on. Good luck! I wish i could say ask your doctor but i doubt yours is any better than mine so he would probably be no help to you. God bless.
I drink at least 32 ounces a day of green tea with matcha powder. I’m never sick but I want to end wearing glasses - I want them to bend my eyes back … I only needed readers. But after they made me reader bifocals I realized they added something to the part that was not to have correction. Now I’m forced….
I started green tea and my tongue hurts. I tried different ones and the same thing happens when I eat kiwi. I just got diagnosed with Hashimoto and Graves’ disease. I also have coronary artery disease. I changed my eating habits but the tea and the kiwi I guess I just something I can’t use. I was wondering if you had any real information on what foods to eat and avoid. There is so much conflicting information. Even my doctor confuses me with her advice. I am 70 years old and I feel very healthy and I have always been very active.
Been taking Lutein at my eye doctors recommendation fairly consistently for about 15 years. Last year he said the astigmatism in my right eye, that I was diagnosed with at 9 years old is completely gone. Would love to add green tea but it can cause me to have migraines. Can you speak in this? It’s blamed on the caffeine in tea, but decaffeinated causes it to. Coffee doesn’t cause me to have a migraine. In fact if I’m caught out on the go and get a migraine I can drink a cup of coffee, a glass of coke, mountain dew, a high caffeine drink to thwart the headache.
Hello. My son is 24 and he has hyperthyroidism and Graves. His eyesight is so poor and even though I've been to several ophthalmologists, no doctor has ever advised us the supplements and food that are good for preventing vision loss. He can't eat cruciferous vegetables. I have taken the matter into my own hands by watching videos by scientists like you. Can you recommend to me the proper supplements? Thanks.
My mother has macular degeneration but does not believe in dietary solutions... it makes me sad seeing her losing her vision and getting injections in her eyes regularly....
Try some hydrogen peroxide in your ears or have your ears cleaned. Also don't eat too much sugar. Ask yourself what or who don't you want to hear or listen to..🤔

It’s funny he doesn’t mention diabetes, morbid obesity, caused by eating high sugar foods and the high permanent blood sugar levels. I have diabetes T2 , fat , need cataract surgery eventually, and lived on fruit and vegetables and noodles and cake and chocolate most of my life . The last few years I stopped eating sweet stuff and eat mostly meat and fish and eggs . One apple makes my blood sugar go up. Nobody can tell me fruit is healthy . I like fruit and cake etc but it is a killer. I drink tea . If you eat something ( oysters ) you can’t absorb most of the nutrients if you drink tea. The tannin and other stuff prevents the absorption of the nutrients. It’s all so much bullshit. Tomatoes and other nightshades are causing rheumatoid arthritis ( I have that too) . All the food I used to love and eat was causing my sickness. Now it’s meat, animal protein. The good doctor wears glasses…the eyes need protein not tannin from tea. Tannin is used for making leather in a tannery. Don’t take advice from a fat doctor or an eye specialist who wears glasses….
There is a big difference between vision that can be corrected with eyeglasses and vision loss. I’ve been wearing glasses for 65 years, but had no vision loss until I got glaucoma. The retina dies, no glasses can correct that. I hope you understand now.
There are eye aging diseases like macular degeneration, cataracts, and glaucoma that the nutrients can prevent or slow. Nearsighted vision often occurs when one does more reading than relaxing and using farsighted muscles. So doctors and others who read a lot often have this condition. Also, there is loss of focus after 40s or 50s when reading fine print is difficult and people wear “readers” or magnifiers to better read fine print. Maybe that can be helped too by the foods he mentions, or regenerative (anti-aging) therapies? 🤔
