I like how they did this for Manchester and still did their own gig in Birmingham on the same day. Nice one take that, goes to show that they care for their own town and fans.
It was smart of Ariana to invite them since they are hometown heroes (Howard and Mark are local boys) and the Manchester audience will always welcome them warmly and with open arms. Plus they had to run off because they were in the middle of a nationwide tour. Whether you like them or know them or not you gotta respect them for taking the time to go up north and entertain their hometown crowd who were in dire need of some happy moments.
I know Little Mix were due to go on X-Factor and perform as well. I have real respect for the musicians that were in the middle of tours or had other commitments, got invited and said "yup, we'll be there."
Take that were performing in Manchester the night of the attacks. So I guess it made sense that they went. But still, it was a great effort on all the acts that performed.
Mark is such an underrated singer and song writer. His voice is always timely, be it 90's era or up to present. His voice can keep up with any genre of songs and artists. Most Legends are underrated.
I was 5 years old when they split up in 1996 ...but I loved their music...especially Back for Good. :D honestly I am so glad that they came back, reunited , although there are only 3 of them left... Their music is just awesome. One of the best european boybands ever
@@KiraLeah02 Brits are European ....as far as I know it is a country in Europe. Sure they may be Brits in first place and in 2nd Europeans.... But as a fellow European I am glad we have so many amazing bands and artists who are successful in whole of Europe and outside of it. I am happy I grew up with bands and artists not just from my own country but from others I share the same continent with :) And sorry I replied so late...I didn't notice you replied.
@@bassesatta9235 they're still extremely successful, have sold out every single tour they have done, also the circus tour they did in 2009 they sold out Wembley stadium 4 times sooo I'd say they're very successful
Danielle Forder successful? yes for sure, but they arent one of the best boy bands. for example, the eagles have sold out every arena between 1975-1980 and 1994-present.
@@bassesatta9235 yes and all the concerts take that have done, they've sold them all out as well, they haven't been around as long as the eagles, I think they're one of the best boy bands, that is my opinion tho and I understand you have a different opinion and I respect that
Poquito take that had to go and perform in Birmingham straight after there performance in Manchester. So they didn’t really have much time. But it would have been nice
Mike M you definitely lost the meaning of this song because its meaning is the opposite of what you wrote. It was 2006, Take That reunited, Robbie rolled in depression and drug addiction so Mark Owen wrote this song to him. So it’s like their way of reaching out to Robbie and it worked!!
Since the band has revealed that "Shine" was written for Robbie who was battling depression at that time, I've seen Mark as the frontman on this in a new light. Mark's and Robbie's bond has always been immensely special and his bubbly, deeply positive personality might really be what got Robbie out of the dark. ❤
toricorn A typical warm reception for Manchester's favorite sons. But this is nothing compared to 80000+ at Wembley clapping and singing in unison to Never Forget.
For people who like this kind of music, what a great event. It's too bad it took what happened for this to happen. I saw many concerts at the Pontiac Silverdome with crowds over 70,000. It was always great. And like this, there were multi groups like ted Nugent, Foghat and aerosmith.
This performance always gives me a thrill, I’m coming back to watch it and I think the power of message on this specific event is just sooo great !! Thanks TT and never forget the victims ❤️
Love this song. Not only is it a great song in it's own right, but love how one of the less forward of the band gets a chance to " shine ". Mark nails this, it suits his vocal range perfectly. One of the endearing qualities of this band, is their tolerance to let all their members of the group have a go. Just one of the things that made them a bit different, nice lads that looked after each other.
biggest thing to come outta manchester since Coronation Street!! Welcome to the wonderful world of the Take That fan (been one since I was 12 and seen em 27 times!) This was a home gig for them so must have meant the world.
The only British legend is Keane. They never participated to this kind of blasphemy circus. Perhaps that's why they didn't resist on the music market. Let's listen Coldplay shit ft. Beyonce and think it's great music.
take that is really a historic piece of manchester. it was really special, because you had all of these people who didn’t really have anything to do with britain before, and then you have a band from there. it made the entire concert complete to have such a connection. you can see most of the audience still know the song.
TT are stunning.. how many other bands ger back together and come up with fresh material as good as the original? None. They all just live off their back catalogue.
How is it possible that anyone can fail to see that this is a divinely-inspired, religious song? The Holy Spirit has been here, and thrives in the lyrics, spreading the love. Even performed in front of a cross, with flame as the symbol of the baptising Spirit. The unity and joy it inspires in the crowd is also GODLY. Now the world is dividing so plainly into good and evil. But "you look beautiful", as the man says. We can do this! Lyrics: I don't know what there is to see (we need to stop being blind) We're all just pushing along trying to figure it out (seeking the truth in the universe) you can have it all (the 7 gifts of the Holy Spirit, who heals and cleanses and inspires and forgives and gives love and truth - ALL AT ONCE) I don't know what you're waiting for (me neither) Your time is coming (the same for all people of goodness in the world we now see) See the light on your face. Let it shine (obvious- Jesus is the light of the world, the light that shone in the first darkness) Stop (stop) Being so hard on yourself It's not good for your health (we all have the right and chance to seek forgiveness and mercy and love and truth) I know that you can change (all have access to the beloved Paraclete) So clear your head and come 'round you only have to open your eyes (classic religious phrase) You might just get a big surprise (I did - just a year ago, when I was born again - IT'S REAL folks, IT REALLY HAPPENS) And it may feel good (VERY!!!) and you might want to smile, smile, smile (I did) Don't you let your demons pull you down (putting it straight!) You can have it all
•xSandsx• Gaming Yeah...they live up their reputation as true professionals. Doesn't matter if they are playing to 200 in a TV studio or 80k in Wembley. They take their gigs seriously.
