Great advice! RU-vid and Instagram are great for different reasons, and they're both good for people who make content. It's really important to have an email list because it's something you control and lets you talk directly to your followers. Also, if you use your TikTok videos on other sites, more people can see them.

6:25 but the thing is for long-form content you need high quality + highly edited and staged videos. Ppl spend 10+ thousand dollars to improve the quality of their RU-vid videos, invest in Music copyright permissions, invest in video editors, scripters that write u what to talk in front of a camera, high-quality camera gear and microphone + all the accessories that you need [light, soundproof, etc] and SEO to optimize your videos. And at the end of the day, the platform decides if your video should receive views or get monetized. Also, the threshold on RU-vid is to keep consistent requirements to be monetized, it's not only when you achieve them. Take a look at Mr. Beast's thumbnail designers, he pays 40k for thumbnails. For Tiktok, it is more or let's say it's free to get the ball rolling.

Yes long form content takes a larger investment of time and potentially money if you choose to invest it, BUT… you’re way overstating the investment. I’ve grown this channel from nothing in six months using my phone and no other equipment. I’ve done no SEO and still rank. It’s not as difficult as you make it out to be, and if people are already putting in the time and effort and need a second platform then they can have a lot of success here on YT. Or create their own self imposed limitations…

Hey Mike, Love Your Content. I've been trying to make shorts content for sometime now and I have gotten no exposure ( 0 views ) and I don't think there's any videos explaining why this. Can you make a video on how To monetise RU-vid shorts? It will get you more views because of the amount of people trying to switch platforms

😂 to be fair, I’m just making sure that I’m addressing the big, relevant news about TikTok and give yall a plan “just in case”. I highly doubt it actually gets banned, and think you should keep posting on TikTok (which is something I mention in the video).

Hey Mike, whats your opinion on uploading on Desktop vs Mobile, do you personally notice any difference? Which one do you use yourself? I've heard emulators might work, but I'm not sure.

I haven’t seen that it matters. Just use what works best for you. Desktop has the advantage of being able to schedule posts but I don’t like the interface as much so I use mobile personally.

Hello Mike, thank you for this wonderful video. I have a question: I'm new to TikTok in cooking content. Whenever I publish a video, I promote it. Recently, I posted a video without promoting it, and it didn't exceed 300 views. What do you think the problem is? And does promoting videos harm the page or other videos?

Promoting doesn’t harm the page, you just aren’t learning to create good content that gets the views organically. 200-300 views is the amount everyone gets. In order to get more you have to improve your videos and watch time so that it outperforms similar videos and gets bigger views. Your promotions will be much cheaper and more successful when you boost a successful video too.

Hey Mike! Been using your strategies and I've grown from 17k to 40k followers in less than a month (thank you btw). But recently my views have dropped drastically. The first week of my content (uploading once a day) I accumulated 4.7M views, but on the second and third week my content is not becoming as viral anymore (struggling to get over 10k overnight), even though I have implemented the same hooks, using the same strategies, providing value, (doing the same thing that worked) I just don't get the views anymore. Any thoughts or advice on this? Hope to hear from you soon, thank you.

How do I improve watch time if I’m posting like memes, it takes people like 5 seconds to watch and then they scroll? Is there something specific I can do to increase watch time, like put multiple? Or do i need to change the type of content I post? Thank you! (For reference I always get about 500 views)

I don’t know if you reply to these but I make beats on TikTok so I have to give the video enough time for people to get context like 30-40 seconds but for the past 2-3 weeks I’ve got nothing over 300 views, I add music videos and use relevant hashtags and the same ones for every video but I’m not sure what else I can do, other people get like 30k on their first upload for the same things and I don’t get it, any advice

It just means you need to work on retention. Study the videos getting bigger views because they’re doing something to keep attention longer and get more watch time which earns them more views. That might be improving the visuals or the beats.

ive got a 6k follower tiktok account i posted funny moments on a few years ago and ive started posting on it recently . Obviously my content isnt deserving right now of loads of views but ive dropped from 700 to max of 10. Should i just create a new account to garner an audience intrested in my niche?

Not a bad idea. But be careful because a view drop like that is because of policy violation most of the time.
