just an FYI, the VCM on the 2013-2015 V6 Accords only transition from 3 to 6 cylinders owners.honda.com/vehicles/information/2014/Pilot/features/Variable-Cylinder-Management the link shows a Pilot, but same motor

I think youre wrong about the VCM . my 2016 accord goes only between 3 and 6 cylinders. I made a video and you can actually hear vcm engage in the beginning of it. The rear bank (FIREWALL) went silent while I recorded the video.

For 9th gen Accord the VCM does either 3 or 6 cylinders. On the 8th gen Accord it was 3, 4, or 6 cylinders. I have a 9 gen 2017 Accord V6 automatic and can’t tell at all when VCM kicks in-so smooth. Also it’s the 3rd gen VCM in the 9th gen Accord and so previous issues like excessive oil usage, fouled spark plugs, oil rings, etc have been fixed.

4bryan4 I can already chirp first and second. LOL Yeah I had a 7th Gen Sedan 6mt and I ran that fucker hard like it sounds like you do. LOL that car's clutch would wear out fast from that.

mytube2415 I didn't install myself but yes it is very easy. You just need a 10mm socket and screw driver. I was getting some other work done and the mechanic was like I'll install the intake for you for a few extra bucks so I choose the easy route. LOL

It definately wouldn't sound exactly like this since it has a whole liter less of overall displacement, plus I'd assume it's a Toyota engine instead of a Honda J-series... I'd look up some other vids.

Is your exhaust stock? I have a V6 6MT. I don't think I want to live with a ridiculously loud exhaust, so I'm thinking about just getting the SRI.

I lightweight regret getting an exhaust this summer. It's been a constant battle between performance, sound, and looks. I just switched back to my OEM exhaust and then swapped back the other day, and I'm currently getting custom silencers made as to not kill all my performance with some crappy 1.5" silencers.

MANN that low growl that the intake makes is sexy. Makes me want to trade in my POS v6 Impala. Sounds like shit and im having problems with it too. What Exhaust are you running? I was thinking about the Takeda SRI with the AERO turbine

MarcTheStrong Sounds sweet right. LOL I love mine. Worth every penny and it's definitely making more power up top. I'm chirping first and second gear now where as before I wasn't. The exhaust is stock oem pipes with some porche 997 Carrera tips on it. Looks sweet.

3232myke uh what? That Honda has a silencer and resonator attached to a relatively restrictive air box. Putting a cold air intake on a motor like that definitely will give some improvement. It may not be 50 horsepower, but it definitely will help just for the fact that the engine is able to suck in more clean air faster.
