The plaintiff and defendant used to work together. He bought a car from the defendant, but it turned out to be a lemon. He returned the car to the defendant and asked for a refund, but the defendant still owes him money. The defendant argues the car was fine and never had any issues.

The defendant is such a liar! The plaintiff is lucky the defendant took the car back and started repaying him, otherwise he might've been stuck with it. If the defendant refused to give him his money back on the grounds of an as is sale, he might have been able to use the defendant's knowledge of the brake failure as proof he was defrauded, but that could be a 50/50 gamble. Just glad he won his judgement.

When he know he didn't give me the mo eh and still won't even though he won the case. That's 100% because that happened to me on a car accident. I won my case of over $3k and defendant fled to Mexico and never heard, seen nor got paid. Shady people in the world that won't take responsibility.

He might not have any choice. In most of these shows, people are paid for their appearance. If they are ordered to pay, the judgment is taken from their pay and given to the other person
@elvickRULES
@elvickRULES 3 месяца назад
@@eph2vv89only1waysometimes it worked that way, but it’s also sometimes just an appearance fee and a guarantee of getting the judgement from the production company. Which is why you often see people give up more money they’re obviously owed to come to the show. At least they’ll get money. Regardless it doesn’t come from the defendant so they technically always win even when they lose.

The planttiff is correct when he stated that the defendant "probably still won't pay him." That's why he brought the case to People's Court, the judgment will be paid by the show. This case is a legitimate one but I think a lot of the family cases are brought to the show just so that they can get money. They know that someone is going to get paid either way, even if neither party wins they're getting paid to air their dirty laundry on national television and prove just how little pride they have in themselves. Some of the litigants that come on this show need to be told specifically how to dress, act, talk, behave, and not act like 2 year olds or animals. The process of choosing who comes on the show and who doesn't must have very lenient rules.

Judge: “Do you have an affidavit from that supervisor?” Defendant: “Up until two weeks ago I thought we were done” (I didn’t know I was coming here today 🤣) Judge: “So you don’t have a receipt, and you don’t bring me anything from that witness?” Defendant: “The car was never technically sold to him” Judge: “You’re not listening to me” Wait, what was the question again? 🤣 🤣 🤣

@@deniselewis5160 Me too. Before it was funny. But as I kept watching more episodes, I became enraged at how she handled some cases. A lot of them, a good chunk of them, were handled unfairly and ruled with emotion rather than facts. She wouldn't give neither party a chance to state their case nor defend themselves. She treated everyone as if they were dumb and misinformed when in reality she was the one who was dumb and misinformed and projected that onto litigants.

No encouragement of disrespecting anyone in this instance other than from this judge. The plaintiff had just started giving his testimony when she rudely interrupted. So if anyone was being disrespectful here it was Milian. Don't act brand new! You know full well how she is..

Plaintiff won because he presented evidence, defendant lost because he failed to provide evidence. Your garbage feelings play no bearing on any judges ruling. It is laughable how you praise disrespect. It is predictable that whenever you've been in court, you said nothing to the judge at all. You are full of shit.

Court is a place for judgement not to make friends and be sweet,sometimes people talk more than is required, so she has to interrupt to maintain order.

@adrianknight1406 I've been watching The People's Court since the original Judge Wapner version started in 1981. I'm not new at all... which means I KNOW about Judge Milian's tendency to "interrupt" everyone. People aren't naive, they know what they singed up for when they waived their court trail and agreed for Marilyn Milian to be their binding arbitrator. There are PLENTY of other places to present these case. Simply put, if they didn't like her or thought she wouldn't have treated them fairly then they wouldn't have agreed to be on her show and accept the appearance fee that went with it. TL/DR It's their choice to go on the show.
