@@ghanat102 . The daughter thought she was involved. That is why she wanted to speak, but she never got the chance. I'm not saying her mother shouldn't pay back the loans, but to dismiss a person from speaking as a witness is rude
Food for thought: never loan money that you expect to get back. I’ve loaned friends (and children) money and never have the expectation to see it again so I’m not disappointed. I’ll never let money ruin my relationships.
Yeah that's why I only GIVE money to family but never loan it. I convince friends to loan me money by saying it's an "investment" then when the money goes away. I say the money is gone, the money disappeared.
That's why I never loan money. If someone I care about needs money, I figure out whether I can afford to give it to them or not. If so, it's a gift. If not, I'm sorry, I don't have it.
You’re absolutely right. I live by this motto, but also in that even doing that should be rare and limited to those very close to me. I’ve given a friend money and never asked for it back. He paid me back and that told me everything I need to know about him. We’ve been friends for 30+ years.
13:19 GUUURL ya right. You show up with 4-5 “friends”, a group of em. She shows up with her daughter & her ONE friend & she’s the bully?! Ya’ll are like the Senior Center of Mean Girls Click. 😂
It's sad that we only now have these old cases to watch. Hoping but doubting they will find another way to continue the court show but it looks like it's done.
She's been doing the show for 22 years. She's ready to live the rest of her life doing what she wants. I'm happy for her. She's a social butterfly and now that COVID restrictions have been lifted I'm sure she wants to be out with people enjoying life, not listening to problems 3 days a week.
Like my dad says “don’t ever lend any money you can’t afford to loose”, meaning if it’s money you can’t afford to ever get back, don’t lend it. Same goes for borrowing. Don’t borrow money that you can’t afford to pay back, don’t borrow $500 unless you can afford to pay back $500.
I live in an elderly complex and you have to be 55!! At what age DO we become elderly?? Hmmm, I think it's always 1- years older than I am at the time!!
These women are in their 60's (but she looks to be in her 80's because of alcohol, drugs and cigarettes), so she could have had her daughter in her 40's...
I've been in city court before for a ticket and couldn't imagine speaking when the judge is or making faces. People have no control. No respect for even the judge.
How dare the defendant said false statements when the case was won & the plaintiff wasn't lying because she had all the evidence. Also after the case, the defendant said she doesn't owe when she does. How dare you disagree with the decision.
People have the right to disagree all they want. I do think she still owed the money. If she actually did pay her any amount, she’d have better evidence. But to say ‘how dare you disagree with the judge’ is silly. Anyone can disagree with anything. Proving it & having to repay it is another matter.
I think JM got this one wrong. I'm pretty sure by the way she was speaking in this case that what she meant from the transcript was that she had been paying her & had paid her back and made the last payment during the temporary restraining order, which I'm sure the Plaintiff was trying to use as justification for the permanent restraining order. The Plaintiff & hee gang look like mean girls.
Cash reward- if anyone can help me please find a people’s court episode from the early 2000s. It involves both of my parents who are both deceased and it would be the only video I have of them together and alive. Depending on the time you invest in finding it we can work on a dollar amount. It would mean so much to me. Please comment if interested and if you feel like this could be something you could achieve!Thank you!
Milian made a very racist and derogatory comment toward the plaintiff's entourage of people by saying "are these the people from the hood" As a judge that off key comment was despicable! Nonetheless you never loan money under any circumstances. If anything you gift if you want to have a relationship or friendship remain the same.
That was a racist comment often aimed towards black people but here in this instance she used it against the plaintiff. The uncomfortable fake laugh she gave right afterwards spoke volumes as well.
