2 months back when I was deciding which bike to buy, I went through the same dilemma. I'll try to justify why I went with the duke. So, when I went to take the test drive of the royal enfield, they didn't let me drive the bike outside their own compound. The reason I was thinking of Classic 350 is because bahut logo se uski tareef suni hai. The enfield showroom didn't let me drive it, the bike didn't have any electronics whatsoever, and that was a let down for me. Then I went for a ktm, took a teat drive on the actual road. The bike was fierce and fast, crazy fucking fast! I still chose to give enfield another chance and asked for a test drive on road, which they failed to provide (i called them multiple times and they were not doing anything). So I'll say the customer service from royal enfield was not superb. Overall the enfield is a very heavy bike, good for touring, no off roading. But roz traffic me chalana isko thoda mushkil padega, compared to duke. Duke is very less weighed, and at the same time you can use that bike for touring as well. The bike is full of electronics, and that is something I was going for anyway. You can consider dominar as well, it's in the same price range as both these bikes and is a hybrid of these two. But I've no regrets in buying this one too! 😅 I'd prefer it over the apache too (not just saying because I bought it, but because I really like it!) 😄 And plus, the apache is more expensive than this one, so that might not have crossed my mind as well 😅

Alister D'souza hey bro, sorry for replying a little late. So ktm has different options for down-payment. And based on that, the emi is calculated. I personally paid 70k as rhe down-payment. And the rest of the amount is paid via a loan. Even that loan was through bajaj finance. So they gave me a good rate of interest.

+Kenth Agent first off, ktm does not offer beyond 390 in India yet. There best bike is 390 over here. Second, budget! 🤷‍♂️

In India the 600cc and above bikes are not affordable to majority of the people, for the lucky few they get to enjoy their bikes on weekends. I also a own a duke 390, dreaming about about 600cc..

Hey Alan, First of all, that's not a small question! 😂 I've had a chance to check out my bike yesterday in order to find out as to what might cause that problem. The main things that came to my mind were what you already mentioned. But since I could not remove my main seat I just have one suggestion as of now for you. Visit the showroom, ask them to remove your seat. There is a possibility there might be some part that is there which is causing that problem. Maybe it is not the solution, but atleast we would have crossed out one possible solution. 😅 Do try this and let me know. I'm very curious! 😄

Although, I had a situation once, I had this weird noise from my bike, like two metal plates vibrating and causing a small, but irritating noise. I tried to find out for a few days what was causing that. It wasn't a constant thing, it would come and go in a totally random way! After almost a week, I realized that in my keychain, there was a key that was touching the tank (front side, behind the handle bar) which was causing this problem! 😂 So it might be something very funny which we might miss out! 😄

Revanta Tikku thx bro. I checked under the seat numerous times, I secured all the wires that were loose, no tool box. Took it ktm Lulla nagar and the warje service centre here in Pune and they say that since d250 has a longer chain travel it usually slaps the swing arm at very slow speeds on 1st and 2nd gear on top of small pot holes, something which does not convince me. The chain is nice and tight.

The chain part doesn't make sense. The engineers at ktm have their limitations as well. So sometimes they just give nonsense answers. It's an exceptional case, I'm sure dukhi kar dia hoga! 😅

The sound of this ktm is louder than the duke 200, or the previous generation dukes or rc. Unlike the underbelly exhaust, this one has a side mounted exhaust system and the sound is quite different from the previous ones! 😁
