Thank you
That was fantastic! I actually cried at the end when she was going to the finish line. Everybody must be so proud of her! What's an amazing lady. I really wish I was able to do as well as her.❤❤
Woke up this morning hoping this video would be in my queue, and it WAS!!! That's a hella good time for a first 5k! Min was more like 43min. Absolutely fantastic.
Agreed although I noticed this was run in August and AMI hasn't done anymore Parkruns since. Hopefully she is still getting out, using her new running experience and running in her own way.
I'm pleased to report that Ami is still running. She has gotten herself to 25 minutes non-stop. Keep an eye out: that sub-30 attempt video may be here sooner than you might think...
I got goosebumps watching this! As someone who just started "seriously" running a few weeks ago and following a training plan to run my first park run in about 5 weeks I am so inspired and honestly can't wait for it!
I've started running again since about 2 months ago and ran my first parkrun yesterday. I didn't even know parkruns were a thing until I started watching your videos so thanks for that. Ended up running a 24:38 which is a PR since I started up again.
Well done Anne-Marie! Today I was meant to do a 25 minute run as part of my C25K but after running for 30 minutes I stopped for a minute to take a photo of my Fitbit and carried on until I finished 5k. Took me 42 minutes including 5 minutes walking at the start and a minute stopped taking a photo at the 30 minute running mark. This channel has increased my determination to push myself.
I wish I'd had someone putting water on my neck during the Yorkshire Marathon yesterday 😂 Huge congratulations to Ami for completing her first parkrun. As a regular parkrun runner and volunteer it's always special to see people complete their first - hopefully the first of many!
Great run and great series. Well done, Ami!! Excellent coaching by Harry and GB Louise. Careful Ami, I went from 0->5k->10k-> half marathon training in less than two years. Whatever amount you go for I hope you enjoy every run the future offers.
This has popped up on my page the day I have completed my first 5k race at age 26 and I feel so much empathy with Ami and actually quite emotional watching this. Going from no running to a 5k run can happen quicker than you think and once you’ve done it, the mental realisation of, “oh, well what else can I do that I didn’t think I could do” is life changing. Super well done Ami and the team! 💛🏅
Some say on a dark night you can hear a light breeze and the steady pit-pat of Anne-Marie's feet running across the frosty ground, working towards that sub-30
It's great seeing people achieve things they've previously seen as difficult. It always inspires me to try something that I currently see as 'too difficult'. Well done all!!!
This was beautiful, truly had a tear at the end. As someone just looking to start my own journey like this, this series was very motivational. Thank you.
Congratulations jog on team and Anne Marie, i do hope you carry on as the running community is the best most fun and happiest kindest family, really really pleased for you,
I really liked that speech at 6:50! I ve completed my 20th parkrun and do it weekly. It’s enabled me to be more consistent than I ve ever been before. I ve also met some amazing people. The running community is incredible! Congrats Ami and thank you Harry for being a legend
Absolutely amazing video trilogy, Another runner into the fold and proof that your training plans work.I am jealous that Anne-Marie has beaten you, I will put that on my todo list 🙂
Contragulations to Ami on completing your first parkrun! 👏👏💪💪 Well done to the Jog On Crew (especially Louise and Harry) for spurring Ami to this incredible achievement and supporting her every step of the way! 👏
This is amazing. As someone who came from nothing being over weight and mentaly broken 8 years ago park run got got me running that 1 5km at a time to now having done my first Iornman Last year, to heading towards Iornman Wales in 2023. These videos really show how much help running and exersise can help with so much. I am still trying to get to 50 parkruns as i spen most of my sat doing long runs elsewhere. To have that alternative to couch to 5km is briliant and looks so much fun.
Amazing well done Anne-Marie! I have very recently started doing the park run in Cannock Chase, today I completed my 5th 5k. I’m currently on a weight loss journey and have currently lost 2.5st. My first park run I ran a 35 minute 5k with today completing in 28.40. I would love to get this to sub 20 but being 17st I can’t see this happening. Thanks for the inspiration and I look forward to more videos! Thanks Harry.
Been waiting for this video! Ami you are amazing! The big thing is, this is just the beginning - what is next! Join a running club now you can run 5K and you can see your running pick up in ways you want it to (getting more comfortable with 5K is what I did when I started out)!
Ami huge congratulations on a tremendous effort. It would be really great if you could keep up the running. Well done also to Harry and Louise for such enthusiasm and encouragement throughout 👏
A 32:55 5k in 4 weeks is crazy, what a accomplishment. Ngl i think the time frame of 4 weeks is really pushing it, but Anne-Marie pushed through it all and in the end posted a very good time. She may have had her doubts throughout the project but the physical and mental strength she displayed was amazing to watch and she turned out to be way stronger than she thought. Hope her ankle was fine afterwards.
Well done Anne Marie! You’ve done it! And also a great time for your first ever 5K run. I hope you keep continuing running. Props for you Harry. Couch to 5K in four weeks is a challenge but, as we could see, is possible. Loved the series!
Congrats 👏 Ami! So proud of you! I've enjoyed the series. Thanks to all involved. Also super cool you ended up with a 4th 'team member ' as extra support!!
Inspiring! Hopefully Ami will soon be tearing around parkruns on your heels Harry. I didn't start running until I was 65 and, on taking up parkrun, was delighted to learn that when I slowed to a walk I wasn't wimping-out, I was jeffing. Must say, I could have done with Louise Small administering water on the way round. Must say: I still could, especially in the big events between 10k and marathons (I've done two)> Lumping a bottle of water around at my age is wearying.
I'm someone who's never done any running and always had poor cardiovascular endurance despite being physically strong... I decided to jog three times a week (Mon, Wed, Fri) for seven weeks in preparation for a Parkrun -- started at 2km and added 0.2km each run until I reached 5km. I began training on a treadmill at 8.5km/h speed and a 1% incline until 3.8km, then from 4km to 5km I jogged outside for real. I did my first Parkrun (Hove Promenade) last weekend and achieved a time of 29:24 which I'm really happy with as my PB whilst training was 31:55. I now intend jog at least one Parkrun every other month, and it was channels like this that gave me the inspiration to start in the first place so thank you very much Harry!
I've loved watching this series. A huge well done to Ami for her first 5k. Here's to many more in the future. Thank you for another great video Harry 🧡
Well done Ami. Great work on this series, I really enjoyed it. I'm never showing this to someone I am inviting to Parkrun. I started Parkrun doing a lot of walking I I believe anyone can come and join the fun without running at all. Keep up the good work Harry.
Happy tears for Ann Marie! What a great job! I've done 4 5ks, and two times of 44:44, and other was 36:18 getting better every day. I can't wait to do more 5ks! Hello from Colorado 👋🏼😎🏃🏼♀
Congrats Ami, great video Harry! I really hope Ami tries/continues running, especially now, when it's not so hot. Starting training and pushing out your distance in hot weather feels twice as difficult to me! When the cooler weather comes though I feel like I can breeze through distances that would have me crippled previously
Fantastic effort from Ami, it really helps having someone there to pace you and encourage you. I paced my friend’s daughter to a 32:12 on Saturday so I can so relate to this. Brilliant result 🎉
Bought the course for my partner as she’s finally taking the jump into running, looking forward to doing it with her, looks well thought out and the complimentary strength work looks newbie friendly too 👍
What a fantastic mini series this is. I have only just discovered your channel today and it is excellent. Well done to Ami and to all of you for putting this together. It actually made me very emotional having gone through the journey of non-runner to runner myself very recently. I started about 4 months ago on the back of some difficult things happening in my personal life. It has been life changing and I credit Parkrun for being a big part of it. I have done lots of it on my own but actually, with things like Parkrun and online communities like Strava and other social media groups, you are never truly alone and that is so motivating. I am running my 10th Parkrun this week and have even managed to convince a few friends to get on board too, with one of them doing their first one this coming Saturday. I have gone from being a non-runner to running a PB of 25.44 last week at Parkrun and I ran a 10k PB of 58.46 literally today. If you would have told me I would do that at the time you filmed this I would have thought you were insane. It is amazing what all of us can do if we put our minds to it and throw ourselves in fully. I am even joining a local running club in the spring! If anyone is reading this that hasn't started but is thinking about starting, my advice would be to take those first steps no matter how scary they seem because you will not regret it. Keep up the good work - Running changes lives for the better :)
Thank you James, means a lot. This trilogy was a mammoth effort. Great comment and superb to know it's going so well for you. I'll be at a parkrun myself this Saturday - what are the chances we end up at the same one out of all of them out there? Cheers for supporting what I make Harry
@@thisisjogon I am now binge watching all of your back catalog of content whilst pretending to work! I very much enjoyed the 500k January series. I have been doing Red January this month and set myself a goal of 100k - I am at 80k and just about to do a 10k today. To have done 5 times that much is some achievement 👏👏👏 We were at very different Parkruns on Saturday but the one you did is definitely on my to-do list - I am near Colchester and did the hilliest of our local triumvirate at Highwoods Country Park...it is tricky in places but has no 'Dune of Doom' to contend with! Looking forward to the video of that one. I will be ordering my Jog On running top soon...I love extremely bright colours and your content so it's an easy sale! :)
Congrats Ami! I have loved this series, well done Harry. Please can we have another vidoe in a few weeks to see where Ami’s running/parkruns are then. I hope she keeps it up 🤞
What a fantastic story perfectly portrayed in fluorescent splendour! Awesome progress Ami and a memory to cherish...but hopefully many more to come and you'll reach 800+ one day like your fellow runner Mr Happy (amazing dedication). PS. What an incredible pace that power-walker was doing!
@@thisisjogon 😂I know the JOG ON tops are bright on video, but you were spot on when you said you can't appreciate how bright they are until you own one! Illuminate any run✴
We'll done ami on your first park run amazing stuff and harry well done and congradulation on the coaching and guidance maybe you should do a 10k a half marathon and a marathon in the future that would be a good watch again well done and a brilliant video as always
