Jes, what a productive day. Nate did a fabulous job constructing those flower beds. Y’all make a great team. You are very blessed to have such a supportive husband. Wow! Outstanding creativity in your gardens. Love watching your movies. God bless and take care. Cookie in Mandeville Louisiana
I get so many great ideas from your channel! The new beds look great! I have some astilbe that hate where they are and need moved-I feel better about doing it now. 👍
Wowzer is right! The new raised beds look fantastic, and the transplanted flowers look beautiful in their new homes! I know you know how blessed you are to have such a loving and supportive husband! Fantastic work, Jes and Nate! Your home truly belongs in a magazine! 👏👏💚💚
Your raised beds look great! You and Nate are so cute together! You two are a lot like me and my husband. I laughed out loud at the look on his face when you said "this is going too slow"! 😂 Wonderful to have a supportive spouse! ❤ Love your movies!
A cute small solar pot pond would be cute next to your bridge and let your little man drop off his line in it. Would add even more character to your garden. Just put the pot in the ground and add a few plants.
Jes I Feel for you with the Humidity! I came from SW Missouri to Yuma Arizona which I have Dry Heat!! I Love your New Beds, Tidy is Good! Love the Trellis your Brother built. Soo Sweet! Nate has the Right Idea, ICE CREAM!! 😂😂 Love & Big Hugs from Yuma, Arizona 👍😘♥️♥️🌴🌴🌴🌸🌺🌿🪴🌱🌱
I love your red rocket plants, they are georgeous!!! Mine are always yellow from top to bottom. What do I need to get that red pop? I watch all your videos, you are so sweet and genuine and love watching and listening to you. Thanks for sharing!!!
Since I've been watching you, I wanna say about two years, you've gone from 11K to 14.1K subscribers! They just keep growing. Thats so awesome. Love all your videos. Love your gardens. You should be so proud
That looks soooo good, Jes. Nate did a great job building those for you. Sweet of him to help you with everything 😊❤ can't wait to see it finished. Your other plants look really good out in your front side bed. You sure have an eye for putting your plants where they look so pretty 😍 It's been so hot here been in the 90's (Ohio ) it did cool off some when we also git some rain. Suppose to rain here tomorrow. But we have definitely needed the rain there was big cracks in the ground. Happy to get the rain.❤ guess I'll see ya tomorrow 😊 God's blessings to you both, love ya ❤
Jess what Hostas do you have in the full sun and are doing amazing I moved to a full sun all year round place I moved from va and nc to Puerto Rico I am used to gardening back home but here is very challenging
I plant and transplant usually in late afternoon…water them in well…usually look good in the morning…but some will need daily attention till they root in…love your movies.
Wow your roses haven’t grown much I just took out mine and planted them in containers because they weren’t growing and I’ve had them in the ground for a year and they’ve stayed just small 😢
I know! I never water mine though so I bet that doesn’t help. I’ve sorta neglected them since they were planted. I’m hoping now I will remember to give them some care. But I’m like you, if they don’t do better then I may move them too!
Jes, would Nate be willing to sit with you while ya’ll tell us how you met, how long you dated, etc.? I would love to hear that story 😊❤, oh , and when you got Max too.😊🐾❤️
I would say no. They usually just have one stalk at the bottom so there would be no where to divide it into two. But you can propagate a stem cutting. Just cut off a stem about 4in. Remove the bottom leaves, dip in rooting hormone and stick it in some damp soil, in a bright humid area and you can create a new plant.
Amazing 🤩 I can’t wait to see how you go about fixing your bed area ❤. Thanks Nate for all your help. Nate did a great job on the garden bed frames!! I love watching you guys work together 😍 Btw… I loved the look on Nate’s face when you said this project is moving along so slow… 😁🥰🤗
I don’t really prep it. I’ve been blessed with great soil over all. But that soil has been there breaking down with leaves every winter for years so that may help :)
Jes, Nate a pretty handy husband, but I think he needs a table for his saw, since he has been building you bridge, and now boxes for your raise beds. Just saying🤫
I live in southeastern Michigan. Lucky you! Nat builds, carries and digs during this awful heatwave. He must love you very much. I can’t even get my husband to take out the garbage when it’s over 90 degrees
In regards to the ice cream, Nate should say, 'Shh! We don't tell secrets'. lol. My granddaughter reminded me that I said that when she was going to tell on me.
Just a suggestion, put down landscaping fabric in-between your beds , then lay down a layer of preen extended control, then lay down your rock. You will not have to weed out the rocks the rest of the year. Next year, the second it turns 40 degrees outside even for just a day, put out a layer of preen again. Your rocks will stay nice year round.
Jes, you guys did great! I know how how that that type of work is. I can’t wait to see the finished area! Nate, you are a good husband! My penstemon (midnight masquerade) does not look so good this year… they came back really good this spring with that lovely dark foliage and they grew blooms but they were kind of lack luster blooms and then the foliage stayed very short and started to turn color, I almost wonder if they’ve gotten too much water.. 🤷🏼♀️I’m not sure what the problem is honestly but now I’m thinking 🤔 hmmm, should I move them? Thanks Jes (& Nate!) for sharing!! 😊♥️
I feel ya as to the heat and humidity. I live in Florida and today it was 103° with 86% humidity, its gross just to walk outside. 😰 Nates face when you said "since this is taking forever" was too finny.😂😂
Jes! Nate is so good helping build items for your passion. I have an idea. Maybe you should get him some saw horses for Christmas at Lowe’s or Home Depot. Then you guys wouldn’t break your backs when building things. Just an idea! Your gardens look fantastic!!
It always feels good to get those projects done. I found a stunning Endless Summer Pop Star blue hydrangea at Menards . Really healthy looking. It's a small size hydrangea and is blue with more acidic soil and turns more pink with less acidic soil. I love it! Look it up on line and see how beautiful it is. It would look great in your red, white and blue garden. I also bought a pink bush rose and a Knock Out Rose in peach/pink. I'm still daydreaming about where I will put them. Might use containers till Fall. Then plant in ground before frost.
