Hey! thanks for the information. My boyfriend and I are interested in moving to scotland and especially the highlands. Can you tell me if is easy find job for latin people and how much is a flat or house rent? Thanks!
@camilatejada5197 I would assume it’s the same for Latin people finding a job as it would be English and Scottish or any other nationality. It can be hard but it also isn’t always. Really depends on the sector of work people are looking for I’d say and where abouts in the Highlands as it’s a huge area. Flat and house rent will differ hugely on the area of the highlands you are looking. I’d suggest researching on estate agents websites etc for rent prices so you can get a feel for prices in different areas of the Highlands. Good luck ❤️
they came to our beloved country because their richer than scots, they came to escape the multicultural areas of england, not because of wildlife because of immigration
You have no clue who I am and what we did or didn’t do or indeed how much money we have!? You’re making a lot of assumptions with no actual information. However I do totally understand where you’re coming from, and I think I would potentially feel a bit like you do if I was Scottish. However a lot of your assumptions are very much incorrect. I hope again that today is a better day for you.
I also cannot control where I am originally from. There are many Scot’s in England, there are many English people living abroad as there are Scots also living in foreign countries….as I said in my previous comment on ANOTHER video of mine you commented on, I am thankful the locals here have been far more welcoming than yourself. Have a good day
Way too late for that! The Highlands is hugely popular and known by many and can get busy in the summer months. Responsible Visitors are welcomed in the main, it’s not my place to gate keep. After all the Highlands isn’t mine to keep x
Looks like your in Caithness - my late father in law's family were from there. It is lovely but there are drawbacks in terms of cost of living - often higher - and less amenities. Hilarious to hear you moved there for the weather but I guess the Midlands is pretty rainy! They really need people to move to these underpopulated areas but I hope you do actually integrate into and support the community e.g. sending your children to the local schools.
I have to say I haven’t noticed our cost of living being more, our standard of living has hugely improved since our move. We have been pleasantly surprised at home much there is here but I guess it depends on what things people want from where you live. A lot of people laugh at the fact I love the weather here 🤣 We do get involved in our local community, in fact we are off to a ceilidh on Friday at our community hall! We have always home educated but other than not populating the schools, however none around us are struggling for numbers. But we shop local, and feel heavily integrated and so very welcomed ❤️
@@thehighlandlife2023 These days, homeschooling makes more sense everywhere in the world. Good on ya for doing that, it's a lot of work but can be very rewarding.
I do feel my videos and the um and arring has improved over my videos since this one, let me know if you agree? I have since this video used scripts or notes and I feel that’s helped improved the quality of my videos. Be interested in your thoughts on my latest video x
My wife and I moved to Skye from Leicestershire over 4 years ago, for many similar reasons. Our children are grown up and have moved away so it was our time. The best thing we have ever done. I fall in love with the island every day.
Aww wow! That’s amazing. We love Skye and visit often and funny enough my husband is there currently. Skye is a very special place for sure. I bet you still pinch yourself every day even after 4 years. We do still after 2!
@@andykeeble1 aw lovely to hear others finding joy in the beauty of where they live. And thank you 🙏 glad you’re enjoying the videos, lots more to come!
I always imagine that the Scottish highlands are very romantic! I think you have made a very good choice to move there because it's far from the toxicity of the urban lifestyle. People are wrong to think that only cities can be sustainable because nature has more to offer! ❤
They definitely can be, but it also can be for those who work the land like crofters, it can be a very hard life. We love being so far away from urban lifestyle it’s never been anything we have craved. Although don’t mind the odd city break now and again to experience something new. But thankful to always come back to our quiet peace of paradise xx
