It’s a shame that Lexus doesn’t make a convertible in the 60-70k range. Planning to give up our Miata as it’s just too small and I’m too fat. I guess I’m going to give BMW some more cash because I can’t justify 120k on a weekend toy.
It's a 'dead-heat tie' in terms of appearances, performance, and luxury between the LC 500 convertible the new Mercedes AMG CLE 53! I hate the fact that Mercedes uses that large iPad/Tesla-like info/control screen for critical temperature functions and for which this becomes a driver-safety hazard trying to see and work the screen controls while in motion.
Do you think that copper crest color looks to girly for a man or is it ok to go for it? I'm trying to decide the color for my lc but since I'm in Mexico, there is no way to see the car before buying, here it is only sold by special order, no stock. Any advice will be much appreciated.
I did get that comment from more than one guy. Personally, I would lean towards yes, but if you're doing a more traditional interior color then it could work much better than this car. I really liked the gray with red interior I had last fall.

I have a blue LC conv with blue and white interior for a year now and I still love it😀 I paid a ridiculous £1000 for the wind break in Europe but it makes a huge difference and is definitely worth it in our climate
The LC 500 is a great vehicle both mechanically and in appearance, HOWEVER, from 2018 onward the engineering improvements have been dismal. Lexus knew that everyone hated the trackpad, yet they kept it until 2024! The storage space in the cabin and trunk are pathetic! The rear seats do not fold down for additional and badly needed storage. There's only one cup holder and no place to store your smartphone- come on man! The center console does not allow the passenger to gain easy access! No hard buttons for the seat temperature setting or the cabin setting- everything goes to the glass touchscreen!
Great review! The LC is not practical for me, but I freaking LOVE that thing. 😍 I think the Ultrasonic Blue would match the Blue & White interior perfectly. Thanks for posting!
