My husband took me on this train 2 years ago for our anniversary. It was the first time we had been there. We took the other train to Dillsboro several times, both are great trips.

This vlog brought back so many wonderful memories! Childhood church trips rafting the Nantahala. Later, high-school canoe trips on the Nantahala and college trips using kayaks! Randy & Bella are so much fun too. The girls had fun as usual. When they are older & perhaps married,, these memories will last forever all about great times !!! Thanks again for taking me along !!!

I loved going on that trip. It was so relaxing and beautiful scenery. My Dad had a model train setup in the basement when I was growing up and my Grandpa worked for the Railroad. It gave me such a love for trains. I would recommend this to everyone.

Very nice! Awesome scenery & the angles just outside the train & watching the train from a distance. It was all good. And a little breeze to keep the passengers from overheating. 👍

gotta get on a train to experience the feel and the sound of clunk la clunk.. and try to put yourself in the 1850's and this was high tech.

Me and my fiancé did the bbq moonshine ride last year during the jeep invasion we can’t wait to move to sevier county end of the year hopefully we will make it for the polar express

Great Video, love those Trains… Interesting info, the Tuckaseegee River Excursion trip takes you past the Train wreck from the Movie-The Fugitive…The wrecked Train and cars are still along the Tracks. Great Smoky Mountain Railway provided the Train and helped set up the Tracks to run off the Hill. The Fugitive was a great movie from the 90s with Harrison Ford. They spent a great deal of time around Bryson City filming the Impressive Train Derailment for the Movie. Thanks SMF for another fantastic video.

For anyone who has taken the train ride- We're thinking about taking our dad on this ride in a wheelchair. How difficult is it to get a wheelchair from where the train stops to the NOC building? It looks like gravel in this video. This concerns me. TIA
