Q:What camera do you use?
A: I use the Go Pro Hero 7 Black Edition primarily. Often times you will see auxillary cameras in use. Those cameras include The Go Pro Hero 6, Hero, and DJI Mavic Pro Platinum
Q: How big Is your rotator?
A: It is a 50 ton Miller Industries Vulcan 950
Q: Does the carriage slide back like Ron Pratt's?
A: No, the carriage doesn't slide back due to strict weight laws in California. The sliding carriage will make the truck to heavy in CA
Q: Why do you only have 3 winches on the rotator?
A: Comes down to weight again as stated above
Q: How many trucks Does Plaza Towing have?
A: Currently more than 30
Q: Why must the driveshaft be removed to tow a vehicle?
A: When vehicles are not running the transmission is not receiving circulating lubricant. If the driveshaft is left installed, the transmission, which is not receiving lubricant, is still spinning. This allows it to get very hot which eventually will cause major damage to the transmission. Therefore, removing the driveshaft completely eliminates the transmission from spinning. Simply leaving it in neutral is not sufficient since the transmission still spins in neutral.

AA should have covered that tow, since the only "off road" involved was parking it off the highway.... It's amazing how quickly yards run out of space.

Have you tried magnetic puck lights for those situations where the light bar cannot be used? They are also handy for marking over-width loads. I thought you used some of the Halo Guardian products in the past?

Hey Trent! I’m a light, medium and heavy driver based out of Lake Tahoe. These Tacomas are safe to tow with the front wheels down in park should you run into this again. A lot of vehicles are fine unless they have a clutch based transfer case similar to that of the ecoboost f150’s with a vacuum based IWE. Hope this helps!

The mobiles are Motorola TLK 100s. They are on a cellular network and as long as you have cellular connection, the range is unlimited

maybe you could elaborate something! when is it "safe" to tow a 4wd pickup behind a tow truck. our ram 1500 4wd book says to never tow it unless all 4 wheels are on the ground like behind an rv. otherwise you must use a flatbed or a dolly. all 4 wheels must be rotating (with transfercase in neutral) or none at all.

It's very difficult to generalise as every make of 4x4 transmission has different towing "rules" - some you can't tow at all, others you can tow but it must be all wheels turning, others you can tow for limited distances on two wheels....

@@18robsmith true, like i said, our ram can be towed at highway speeds with all 4 wheels "down" and rotating. transfercase must be in neutral and transmission in park. absolutely no towing on two wheels alone

That years Tacoma could easily be towed from the rear, if 4 WD was cut out/disengaged.. I had the same basic truck.@@stevem268

An All wheel drive vehicle (constant 4wd) has to be flat towed. A Part time 4x4 system (ie 2wd / 4wd selector) can be towed like that. There is a way to tow an all wheel drive like that, but you have to do a frame lift. Instead of wheel lifting.
