Hi, I don't think many people know how vicious the drakes can be. I have lost my original quacker hen because the drake drowned her in the pool during the mating process. I just went out to feed the guineas. When I came back she was floating in the pool. I did try to resuscitate her, but I was too late. The drakes also tend to kill the ducklings. That is horrible to see. So if you have ducklings you need to seperate the hen with her brood from the drakes. My current drake wants to mate with the chicken hens and I have also noticed to of the duck hens trying to mate with one another, twice this year. 😮😮

Sometimes I have somebody behind the camera for a short period of time. It can be a woman as well 😅. It all depends who is available and willing. The time has come for me to start teaching Thomas how to do it. Thank you so much for watching. ❤

They do waddle. My first drake's name was Waddle. He drowned Quack in the pool having too much fun and thdn Prada killed him when he tried to kill Puddles. 😢

Hi friend. Thank you for watching. The first time I saw the ducks do that I dropped everything and ran out hysterically screaming, grabbed the swimmingpool net and broke the 'union' up. My first drake did end up drowning the hen like that. It was horrible for me. Now if I do see them doing that I watch till the end 😂😂😂. Just in case. So I thought, my viewers can watch with me. Why not? It is precausionary measures taken. 😅

Now who could that have been 🤔😀. It is school break here at the moment. I have an old school friend whom is on the brink of retirement. But I think I must start considering teaching Thomas how to do it. McDavid did a good job. About the ducks: Not many people know how mating goes down in the duck world. The first 3 or 4 times I saw it, I ran out screaming hysterically, like only I can, because I thought he was trying to drown the duck on purpose. It took me a while to relax that that is how ducks copulate. If I see it by accident, like on this video, I still keep a very close eye on them and often spoil their fun if I see that he is not taking care to let her come up for air. Remember Waddle drowned Quack like that in the pool that broke my heart. I did try resuscitating her, but I was too late. Shortly after that Prada killed Waddle when Waddle tried to kill Puddles. Ducks are not kind 😢😢. The drakes kill the ducklings as they do not want to share the females' attention with the young ones. I was sad when I realised Sunny was a drake. I thought I had 4 hens now. That was filmed for educational purposes only 😂😂. I think I have over explained the inclusion of that part in the video. 🫣 Lavender is gorgeous, but so is Raven. I think it is Lavender's colour that is so striking. You are starting to recognise some duck body language signals. The tail wag is definitely an indication of being contented and happy or having fun. I have decided to cuddle my poultry more often 😊❤

Yes, it is not summer here yet. There were snowfall this week in places in South Africa that haven't seen snow in 22 years 🤣. It is rainy and cold here for the next 5 days. Weather has turned on its head. 😂 All over the show.
