I had a 1.6 GL back in 1996, it was a nice car I bought it for £25 as it only had 3 months MOT left and there was a hole in the passenger footwell the size of a football, so I just cut a piece of wood and glued it to the floor to stop the water coming in. It drove ok as I remember but was slower than the Vauxhall Cavalier 1.3 that replaced it. When I took it to be scrapped the guy offered me £5 for it lol
