Grievous mocking Morgan with her mother's last words was the icing on the cake. He really is a sadistic bastard. Although I suppose it explains why Morgan became the sour person she was in the later shows.
So cool to see more of Dathomir and its people with their different cultures and magick. They also make the droid army look truly menacing to people that aren't Jedi or a battalion of clone troopers with Grievous laughter in the background
It’s a pretty cool perspective of dathomir. We had Merrin essentially turn to the light and fight for the rebellion, while we had Morgan turn down a different, more sinister path. Both being at the same massacre, two very different destinies.
I hadn't watched Tales of the Jedi so I binged that and Tales of the Empire altogether and it was amazing! Barriss's story was probably my favourite of all the stories
So happy to see the Singing Mountain Clan finally return. The OG Dathomir Force Witches. Hopefully more of the original Lore and characters will follow.
Her grief not only consumed her but the people who wanted to help her and for their trouble she repaid them with tragedy. Such a sad story for episode 1. I hope they show that this decision at least haunts her going forward and she's not just some twisted person who doesn't care about anyone but herself. I know where she ends up but I want to see a layered character since there's a lot of potential there
General Grievous was terrifying and an absolute nightmare. Star Wars should make a series for him, Tales of the Separatists. Featuring him and Lux Bonteri. What do you guys think?
I think they should make the next Tales of the series about Grievous and Thrawn. Would love to see their Origin in canon and more depth of their character.
Words cannot express how happy I was when they FINALLY showed more clans of Dathomir witches. I am also happy that they are seemingly making it so that the weird perpetually red jungles were just due to the dark side of the nightsisters and the rest of the planet is pretty normal
More likely the red swamp/jungle was due to the ancient dark-side temple buried in the middle, and the nightsisters settled there since that where their magic drew them. But I am also very pleased we finally got the mountain clan and expanded the meaning of "witches of Dathomir" to the Legends inclusion. What would be a particularly welcome treat would be them showing up again when the New Republic is dealing with Thrawn and the Nightsisters on Dathomir.
This was a fantastic start to Tales of the Empire. Morgan's origins, Grievous being as terrifying and chilling as he should be, and a new clan of Dathomir, (gives me hope we'll see more in the future - maybe Kirana Ti?)
Hi community, did you notice that the titles in the three Morgan's shorts are the emotiones Yoda mentioned in the Phantom Menace that take you into the Dark Side? Fear, Anger and Hate.
That skill the "mountain mother" used is the same barrier/shockwave Cere used in Jedi Survivor. 😄 Liked this episode for showing more lore for Dantomir with this new sect of light side witches who live hidden in the mountains (think they were in the Legends). It was my favorite from Morgan's story. Bariss' story stole the antology for me and i think/hope you will also like it a lot. 😁
General Grievous Ficking epic ROTS vibes!! A fecking nightmare for Jedi’s!! The arrow weapon used by OMEGA!! OMG😭😭😭!!! + Morgan was so badass ASF until she meet her downfall against Ashoka🔥🔥🔥!! That Fricking awesome Duel!!❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥🤘🏻🤘🏻!
Big round of applause and welcome back to members of the Mountain Clan! 🫡 Remember, while all nightsisters are witches of Dathomir... Not all Witches of Dathomir are Nightsisters. You really need to check out the old novels. ( This has nothing to do with jedi fallen order) I'll say it every time. More fragments of the EU iceberg are floating to the top where they belong.
You're a tried and true Star Wars fan along with the rest of all of us fellow Star Wars fans,LJ.May the Force be with you and all of us 4 ever.Forever May Star Wars reign.SKOL.
Yeah, CW Grievous ain't so silly when he's facing people without plot armor huh? He didn't even have to take his cape off, sadistic bastard was just toying with them the whole time.
Wait, what, you have an energy bow, that's so cool! Is that something you made, if so did you post any pics of it? I make props and things and nerd out when I see others making stuff too 😄
So I bought a cheap plastic bow, took the string off and replaced it with a neon light up wire! there are photos on my instagram highlight reel, under "nightsisters" :)
Heyyyy, the probe droids weren't aware they were programmed for evil. #JusticeForProbeDroids , lol. Also, the sounds of the laser bolts hitting the shield-like thing at 8:04 sounded just like the sounds of lasers hitting the Gungan's shields. The sounds of Grievous spinning his lightsabers on the ground was the same as RotS too.
Hi Louise....LOVE your Star Wars content!!! For Star Wars canon, I come here. I do have a question about this first episode. Unless I'm mistaken....the Empire (General Grievous) killed all of Morgan's sisters, yet, she goes to war along side them. Could you shed some light?
Action Figure Morgan's like "YES! I would like to join Nali!" haha. Would have been cool to have a little baby Merin cameo who was also saved. Or just a shot of a baby in a red blanket at the mountain camp we could say is Merin. The Mountain Clan seem to be pacifist witches to me, as opposed to our traditional nightsisters who like to meddle, and be all..... dramatic and cause friction. Not that that's a bad thing, it was always entertaining to watch Mother Talsin influence and then step back into the shadows. I think the droids would have left them alone because they had no idea they were there, and by going to get weapons they revealed themselves. When you go looking for trouble...
@@joemackley7894 I prefer canon Grievous, action sequences mean nothing if your character is a cardboard cutout. I value more his performance driven malice and his expanded backstory as a Kaleesh warrior, this appearance in TotE wouldn't be as good if they made Grievous silent and ultra effective like 03
I think we can all agree this was the most terrifying general grievous has been since first time seeing him in the 2003 clone wars animated series the original where he was so deadly in the first appearance taking out 6 Jedi like they were nothing now he took out these night sisters like they were nothing
Actually he only killed 2, a padawan and a knight The hairy dude he sliced was a master but he just pretended to be dead, look it up That version of Grievous is sooo overated
