For the most part, I agree with you. The last 5-7 minutes, when dude completely loses it, and kills hie best friend, then kills his own wife...and she'd never even given him a hint that she was expecting their first child...which, in a way, makes it at least partly her fault for her demise. This is one twisted tale indeed!
Tales from the crypt isn’t really ominous it offers a very surprising twist in the end no one or almost everyone lives happily ever after there’s no perfect happily ever after at the end of each episode
The cabin was the same one used in The Great Outdoors(1988), and Ruth de Sosa(Della) had a small role in Planes , Trains, and Automobiles(1987) which also starred John Candy.
I don't want to be accused of victim-blaming, but they didn't exactly help ease his suspicions with their behavior ..... from the very start she is accepting expensive gifts from another man. And the friend is openly flirting with her. combined with his temper (I won't say jealousy because that was understandable) and drinking it was always going to end badly... memorable episode though
I know. It explores Fear, angst, deceit, purported lust, a seemingly impotent Man, and finally, Murder. All because dude's Wife didn't tell him that she and him had FINALLY been successful in conceiving a child! That was stupidity in one of it's purest forms, and Death was the result for Dude's Wife, her Friend...and, unfortunately, for the unborn child. Tragic, indeed...and it all could've been avoided, had she just told him the truth!
@@ronaldshank7589 lol yeah right. as usual, find a way to blame the murdered woman. It's all her fault. Some people will never understand that the people who HURT people are the villains.
Watched this when I was a kid and have not forgotten it since. It was like a song I was on LSS! I didn't know the title then, thank you for posting this, I can finally rest since I've already watched it :)
Damn! I knew the ending was going to be a twist where he kills them but they were doing something nice. But, I did NOT expect all the family there along w/ the baby announcement! Now THAT'S a twist haha! BTW, let's be real though. His "friend" and wife were waaaay too handsy w/ each other. She did nothing to help her cause. For all we know the baby's actually the friend's lmao lolol.
Story of my life. Deal with ppl for certain periods then It's like you never knew em and gotta start all over again and again no closure to stability or connection than when you started. Most use eachother anyway till we get something better. For some ppl fitting In Is too mentally exhausting , but younger you are the better chance you have at lasting connections , because you can't just cut those off so easily , It'll be tied to nostalgia and In turn extremely biased and powerful memories , which you have almost no choice but to cherish because life just gets harder so that's usually the best time you ever had.
@@darthorion2002 Agreed. Why get mixed up with someone that still carries around a lot of baggage from past relationships? To me, it makes no sense to date someone that can't get past their past.
a journalist was able to find out the real story through an investigator and sold it to Hollywood. they were so fascinated that they made a modified story out of it.😔
I'm going to have to say that it was the wife and the friend's fault mostly. She accepting expensive gifts and kissing him in the boat in front of the husband. I don't care if it was "friendly" But the fact that he could do that to them he was already unstable.
@@9395gbthat’s aside the point, the escalation occurred via the very specific actions by the wife, and it immensely built up a deep insecure and traumatizing psychological event
@Aham-Na I get the plot and this was an amazing short. Great drama and build up. However, if you did this in real life except to go to prison for the rest of your life or get the death penalty. Real life is not like a movie.
Let's just leave it at this no real woman will accept another man's gift and no real man will ever let another man Even though if it's his friend spend a lot of time with his woman.
@@brandonowens5157 for a man if you let another man take your woman out give her gifts and spend a lot of alone time with her you don't value your woman the way you should and for a woman if you even let a man treat you all the time and play around with the idea what's going on you don't respect your man. My mom and dad have been together for the longest and my dad don't ever want another man treating my mom and my mom wouldn't even dare playing around with the idea of another man taking her out and that's why they are still together. Call it clingy call it unhealthy call it whatever you want but that is why relationships don't work for you if you've gone through them. Some people want to be tied down and others want to explore and plan as many seeds and if you're the type of person that just wants to go out and have fun and meet different people you shouldn't be in a long committed relationship if you're not ready to devote your whole life to one person.
She may have been pregnant, but I'm betting Alan was the father, not Richard. Richard was such a drunk there's no way he was able to father that child.
This episode always reminds me of the episode of The Whistler first broadcast on June 10th 1946. The episode is called Quiet Sunday ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RYmY2qnLQuA.html
Softhearted is when you are softhearted for everyone. It's not softhearted when you only give a free pass to criminals of a certain race or your own race. That is being racist and apathetic. Don't you dare try to put a positive spin on such decision making.
