As an independent I'm ultimately going to vote FOR policy, and AGAINST Trump... but THAT SAID, many swing voters recognize, as I do, that the presidency is more than a political platform or a party, it's the face of the nation that deals directly with our allies and enemies around the world. In the event of catastrophe we depend upon someone with the vigor and mental clarity to aggressively tackle problems and lead us, and outside catastrophe we need someone who projects an image of strength and consistency that inspires confidence in our friends and doubt in our adversaries. In that respect anybody can recognize that Biden in his present struggling condition simply can't discharge those essential duties of office, when he can barely sustain a train of thought in a debate. I hate to say it, but in his current state I'm honestly not confident he could even survive another 4 years of office. And that SIGNIFICANTLY hurts Biden's election chances with swing voters, and Democrat chances of winning the next election. People didn't show up for Hillary Clinton because of her controversies, paving the way for Donald Trump to win. These same people will see the current race and, just like back then, bow out in disgust at the choices presented to them, making for a horrifying repeat of 2016. Fox News and the GOP already smell the blood in the water and are circling, they can sniff out the fresh meat and are ALREADY lobbying the American people amplifying EXACTLY these doubts and misgivings in the hopes of serving Trump the presidency on a platter just like they did against Hillary. We need bold and decisive action to prevent that future, and we need it now.

I'm an independent, but I am voting for Joe Biden. This country depends on the integrity of its leadership, of which Donald Trump has none.

I miss the days when there was no 24/7 news or TV for that matter. I quit watching any news a few years back and don't regret it, not hearing their scare tactics daily.

It just makes me sick to see and hear how the democratic group is turning their back on someone who’s done so much for our country than most presidents. He’s increased social security for our elders, decreased prices on insulin and other meds, plus he’s trying to help save our planet by going green. On a personal note, he did a lot for me. He revamped the dept of ED to make it easier to payback student loans. The dept of ED forgave me ten years of student loans and I’m very grateful for that. He’s shown me he’s got our back and we need to show him we’ve got his. ❤

The debate hasn't changed my mind. I'm sticking with Joe. If he's doing a great job now, I think with a House and Senate behind him, he'll do a better job. I’m sorry, but this was an Emperor Has No Clothes moment. We all saw it. I get that Pakman has always been a bit reserved even though he is a genuine progressive in a lot of ways. This, however, is just living in denial. Saying that in a sane world, blatantly blanking out and confusing subjects and showing clear signs of mental exhaustion and deterioration would automatically end your campaign is crazy. We need an open convention, and someone, everyone, close to Biden needs to make sure that it happens.
