In this video, we drive the Tata Altroz diesel and also talk about the history of diesel hatchback in India. We also discuss about new car buying trends and a lot more that's happening around u now....

Talking Cars♥️♥️♥️ ഈ എപ്പിസോഡ് continue ചെയ്യുമോ.. കാര്യം main reason ഇതുവരെ പറഞ്ഞില്ല!!! Why its dying 🤔🤔.. അതോ പറഞ്ഞോ 🤔.. Complete കൺഫ്യൂഷൻ ആയല്ലോ!!. എന്തായാലും എപ്പിസോഡ് പൊളിച്ചു ♥️♥️👌👌
Such chassis development is quite expensive and with little profit margins. Aria, Safari Storme and then Hexa all underpinned by the hydro-formed chassis started by Aria and then refined in stages. Aria was quite ahead of its time and handled better than an Innova of the time
I have watched at least 10 reviews of Tata Altroz diesel and none of them mentioned this issue at stop-go. It is for such unique and subtle bits that we subscribe to Talking Cars. It would be great for users if you could do more cars that we use in daily life. Don't wait to produce some special content with some unknown car, just talk more and we will be fine.
True.. When I TDed the altroz diesel, faced the same problem, but thought it was because I changed to eco mode. Except for TeamBHP and Talkin cars, no one else discussed the poor fuel mapping of the altroz diesel
Zest-Bolt Petrols are a gem. I own a BOLT Petrol since 2015 (first among the BOLT owners in India). It crossed 46k now. Refinement is to the next level it is every time it crosses every 10k. Mileage figures are now 16kmpl regularly. The Sport mode in this 4 cylinder turbo petrol is awesome. It was an age when nobody dared to bring a 4 cylinder turbo petrol as standard.
@@niriap9780 How many 'self-proclaimed RU-vid Auto Enthusiasts' today might have driven them or even know about them? Even Manorama's Jayakrishnan says Tata changed since Tiago, which is not at all true. Zest was the real milestone.
yes, smoothness overloaded sound oru thulli illa milage 3rd service vare 15 ullil ullarunnu now getting 21.3 milage sport mode is excellent bolt petrol revotron💥💥💥

Greatest feature of talking cars is you never know where its going to end up 😂. The title may say one thing but the topic changes every 5 minutes. So its worth watching till the end and you’re never bored.
Well.. ith inale kanda oru channel aanu. IPO almost watching 5 hr plus aayi. Thanks for the journey. Hope you guys come up with your talks. The best place to be.
What will we do without you guys?.. all real-world scenarios are discussed, which oftentimes is MORE IMPORTANT that the company spec-figures usually discussed / talked about in automotive channels.. Keep doing what you do.. 👏🏽👏🏽

I am looking to buy a diesel car and I have decide on Altroz the following are the reasons. 1. I compared Hyundai vs Tata vs Maruti. I am a Maruti car owner and I livid with the quality of Maruti cars as I have spent almost on an average 1 day in every two months in showroom in the past 5 years of owning the car. So quality wise it's pathetic and don't talk about its safety as there is not a single point good abouts its safety. 2. Now comparing Hyundai vs Tata, Hyundai is at least 2 lakhs costlier than Tata and same with the spares and maintenance of Hyundai which is again atleast 50% costlier.
Hyundai kia and maruti maintenance cost Orupaadu koodudal aanu...athum mathram alla spares okke low qualityum aanu...pazhe pole onnum pratheekshikalle...🙏

Due to meet BS6 there will be a soft launching in RPM for all diesels. To avoid the push heavy smoke 💨 out on sudden surge in RPM. Same to de acceleration time will also.
Tatas best പെട്രോൾ engine ആണ് അത് must drive 👍
Swift ddis vdi 2009 June version was my first car, such a gem of a car , wheel spin in 2nd gear as well; and obviously modified the hell out of it Brings back memories, upgraded to city diesel and a brezza , polo 1l tsi mt Coming from diesel only cars to a turbo petrol I do miss the easy drivability of these refined diesels except city idtech , trust me it was a Tata 407 on nvh levels, but gives crazy mileage even in towns (20 plus) Now with the polo, old car never considered as an option ever but made the mistake of test driving the car and was sold, do enjoy the car on par with the swift , polo is more refined wen driven under 1600 rpms, only downside being a 100 downshifts to move in town plus a long throw clutch So as u guys mentioned is this the end of diesel hatchbacks, I guess it is considering the COVID situation and lesser overall areas to be driven 5 years for petrols/combustion engines, then all electric is the future
As a turbo deisel fanatic, i'am extremely sad about the current trend. My favourite deisel engine is 2.0 TDI present in mk6 jetta & 1.6 TDI in vento. Marvelous piece of engineering 👌. It can be sporty and fuel efficient at the same time. Its sad that they aren't being offered in India anymore. Come on VAG please bring back atleast the 2.0.

Have been using Maruti Suzuki Ritz diesel for the past 8 years and have clocked 1.6 Lakh kms and still loving the Fiat 1.3 MJD ❤️❤️.. Waiting for Maruti and other manufacturers who stopped the Diesel machines to bring back the same..
Mee too using 2009 swift 1.3diesel.clocked 1.5lakh km.its been more than 10years.now its time to upgrade.but no options for me.because smaller diesel engine are almost died
I remember after watching this. I went 3 times to buy bajaj pulsar and took test ride. 3 times i came back home not buying it. But unexpectedly i got one unicorn someones i took ride.. Awesome first impression decent ride smooth engine. I fixed thats the one i needed. Immediately booked one bought. This happened in 2006 during college days..it was under 70000 rs on road... 67 or 68 like that Just a year before only i sold it for rs 10000
The topic on small diesel cars is a definitely interesting topic. With turbo petrols retailing at almost the same price as a diesel and providing just half the efficiency, it is really a joke for people to think that petrols are the best in 2021. For people who don't own a petrol bunk, a turbo petrol automatic is definitely not recommended. There are beautiful diesels still available like the figo, amaze especially diesel CVT and this Altroz. Buy the last of them and have fun while they exist or else be the cash cow !
Nexon diesel has the steering vibrating starting from wheel axle to hands as we accelerate in second gear.... only in second gear. No acceleration delay as seen in altroz Thanks for the proper detailed review from actual auto enthusiasts.
Hyundai admits that one of the main reason Santro became a great success in India is because of the niggles in Tata Indica, & how Tata had already ate into Maruti 800 market share ..making Santro launch easier..
Small diesel cars have a reduced demand now because there are new petrol engines which provides almost same mileage as diesel and rates of both fuels doesnt have much difference.22 23 iniku swift petrolil kittarundu but i dont know how far its correct in the meter console......JDyude arrangedmarriage related to test drive iniku ishtapettu😀
Guys one request, can you make history of santro in safari way? Like can you bring all santro’s models together and talk about it’s journey from 1998 till now? Pls it’s request it’s my old lovely car I have many memories with it
When automakers decides what masses want instead of building what the customer thinks they want, it will make a revolution Swift Diesel did it. Ecosport did it, now Thar is doing it. Great video Also agrees to your view on turbo diesel engines, effortlessly quick and convenient. That is something petrol engines can't replace
Tbh...it's not just because of VW Dieselgate. With advent of BS6 regulations, the diesel exhaust after treatment systems have become more complicated (DPF and SCR etc). These AT technologies are a big headache to manage even in European roads, OEMs don't want to manage the additional headache that would come with Indian driving and road conditions. That's why small cars are slowly doing away with Diesel options.

@@TalkingCars Title says "diesel small cars", but description says hatchbacks... At the time, the 137D was about the only small diesel car you could get from a mainstream manufacturer.
@@TalkingCars I guess you're right. It is the original compact sedan, at just under 4m long. However, considering the way that discussion went, the 137D would have fitted in nicely, as it was a homegrown solution. As I recall it was a noisy but efficient and well suited diesel mill by FNM, integrated by the likes of Sri. Behram Dhabar, the father of the Thar. Maybe in a future episode, you guys could discuss the various measures and workarounds Indian carmakers had to go through to survive in the age of License Raj, as well as the rude awakening they had when the industry was deregularised. Like what you did last week with the Sumo.
Maruti's lacklustre brand building exercise for cars like GV or Kizashi - Spot on. I always believe it was deliberate by Maruti for the true blue Suzuki's to not succeed in India. You cannot drive up the Indian Maruti owners expectation to global Suzuki levels. Suzuki could set shop more directly like what happened with TVS-Suzuki or Hero-Honda ;)
EGR explaincheyummo ?, Advantages and disadvantages of it. Its maintainence and everything to keep it running freely. EGR delete, soft and permanent, ellam onnu explain cheyumo ?
എന്തായാലും ആശയം കൊണ്ട് വ്യത്യസ്തമായ നില്കുന്നു talking cars should promote "careful"..mask..gloves..pls adhere to your responsibility. No use talking politics here. The only thing that is salable is concern and the content. 🙏
An efficient fast diesel hatch for long conversations and drives. Very relatable and reason why we have a Polo GT TDI since 2013. Back then was driving *quite fast* between Chennai-Kozhikode and it would still return 15-16kmpl. You wise up on speeds after ysome years, driven more sanely and in 2021 it still gives 23-24kmpl on the same route. Still to find a genuine replacement for such a combination.
