Here I'm on one of my short game schools talking about how I control distance and spin when pitching. Stay tuned for more content like this coming in the future!
Every video of Dan's that I have watched over the past few weeks has been really clear and so beneficial to improving short game. I've tried things out on the course and can see impact straight away. Looking forward to getting stuck into the book! Bunker play is a biggie for me as well!
Thanks Dan! Love your social media videos help me so much I got your book for Christmas and it’s fantastic help. My chipping, pitching and bunker work is as good as it can get. Thank you.
QUESTION: I have problems with my distances in pitching. For example, I use my gap wedge, 52 degree, and using the 3 pitching positions I hit on the fly 20 yards, 27 yards and 42 yards. I can hit these numbers consistently. Dan says he averages 40 yards with his gap wedge from the 1st position, he's much longer than I am. If I switch to a pitching wedge I obviously get more distance but it comes out much lower. What should I do for a pitch shot that is 60 yards? Should I just try to use my pitching wedge and accept the lower flight? Am I doing something wrong that is causing me to only hit my gap wedge 20, 27, 42 yards in distance. I love and highly recommend Dan's book, it has really helped me out. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks, Bill (Aiken South Carolina)
Great tips. I've been following your videos and read your book and it has resulted in some great improvements in my short game in terms of contact and spin. Now I'm starting to expect more of myself though and find when attempting the release you teach, the ball typically leaks a little right of my intended target line. Any tips for straightening it up?
