Yeah - the 14060M is in my opinion the very best that Rolex made. I have the 2008 long 'f' version. I will NEVER part with it until they take it off my wrist to be cremated (me, not the watch!) I just had mine serviced by Rolex for @ 900.
I really enjoy your videos! I would really appreciate if you could do a video in the future with tips on how to find and buy used watches. There are probably a lot of things to be on the lookout when buying, with so many fakes floating around. I also enjoyed very much your review on the Squale watch. Maybe you could share with us more watches that would be considerably cheap to buy right now and could turn into future classics.
Hi .. I have Rolex 5513 year 1984-1985. I love it❤. But one of the bracelet don’t have the stamp the other one yes!! Is it normal is stump just one of the bracelet??? Thanks
End of an era? I think the 14060M random serial was the ultimate EOE Rolex, the ABSOLUTE very last of the classic skinny case pre-ceramic Sub's. That's a watch you want to get hold of.
Hey loved the video! I have a Submariner 5513 meters first dial that was purchased many many years ago and I'm looking to sell. Any idea what they sell for in US currency?
With the new ones they just made the watches better. Rolex couldn't keep making watches with plastic glasses and painted bezels. If they did that, they would lose ground to other companies example Omega who are incorporating ceramics and new wrist watch technology.
The new ones are certainly better technically but I much prefer the vintage looks and much prefer domed plexiglass crystals over today's modern flat sapphire crystals-sorta boring.
Love your watch I have a 1978 sub that I bought with my first paycheck and has been serviced by Rolex and upgraded with new hands dial and bracelet over many years. I notice your bracelet has solid links too like my new one so I’m wondering? Any way I also have the 114060 which I like as well but you are so right the older ones are elegant and nicer profile I kind of like the plexiglass dome crystal too.
Beautiful 5513! But is there a big dent in the dial between 3 o'clock and the R of submariner? If it is a one owner watch that has been in storage, the caseback should never have been off, so what caused that?
Difficult to say for sure but I can tell you the glossy dials tend to look a bit wavy sometimes at certain angles and also reflect imperfections easier than a non-glossy dial.
phototristan I'll bet they did. I would have grabbed it ran. Screw the job at Rolex! I'd have a grail piece! By the way... Who are the idiots who voted thumbs down? Good grief.
Do you like the Rolex Cellini Dual Time? Ref 50525 I like these better than the Submariner. blog.perpetuelle.com/watches/rolex-cellini-watches-for-2014/
A Casio watch is far more better than you roclex, sheap. Sharp on time, with date you re at peace no heart attack if stolen and you still have more money to buy or pay some bills.bla bla bla bla bla bla it s not worth it.ah look people a have a Rolex a piece of.metal so expensive for lak of better word if you buy some gold you ll always h e your money but for you Rolex you loose at least half of you money o tha ks
