Tried it twice. Trust me man, it's not worth it. You're honestly better off dating in friend groups if you can.

Depends what dating app you're using. Mainly used OkCupid, matched with about 50 women there, and I never had a text interaction as weird as what Faline was making these guys put up with. It's actually a really great way to learn texting and a lot of stuff in general and to make some friends first. But it's a bit hard to involve yourself romantically (especially if long distance) because it's still a weird vibe knowing that every single point of the conversation, the other person could be swipping for a bit and find someone else to talk to in an instant and treat you as an option rather than a priority. Like you can't really afford to really commit without taking a risk of wasting time, unless you can set up a conversation full of trust and honesty, which is a hard thing to learn to do. And now happens that the person I'm chatting with and will likely become my significant other reached out to me directly from a context that wasn't related to a dating app at all. So it's a lot easier to commit to her even before meeting her because she showed interest specifically to me. So honestly, Dating apps are a good learning experience if you use a Dating apps and filters that actually allow you to match with people you can chat with.

@@XxSugarFangsxX Well, in that case: try not to think about it too much, enjoy your life/explore new things for the moment, and be open to when an opportunity comes a-knockin'. Still wouldn't recommend dating apps, especially if you have any self esteem issues, depression, etc. I'm not a psychiatrist but as someone who has some of those issues, I can tell you it didn't work out well and all dating apps did was make those problems worse. Good luck!

@@XxSugarFangsxX I think you should do both. I first started the dating app route. I learned a lot from there. And suddently out of nowhere 3 women showed interest to me in a non-dating app situations in these last 3 months, and I was able to lead the conversation a lot better after having the experience of chatting with many people.
