Oh wow. She was MY companion. She’s why I got into Doctor Who. My childhood bedroom was plastered with drawings and photos of her in her badge-laden bomber jacket.

For me I am just dying for At Childhoods End to be adapted to TV. Like bbc three is returning and it would be fantastic to see it brought onscreen. Let’s just that Ace comes back soon Sophie is still in the industry and we need to see Ace get a proper tv exit. She is brilliant.

Sophie made a good point about noise distraction. Even for example when they are shooting on the set, when an airplane flies over, they have to call cut until the plane's sounds are gone.

My favourite companion, and my first kinda crush as an almost teen at the tail end of the 80's. I was very fortunate to have won a personalised signed photo of Sophie as Ace at the start of lockdown when Sophie ran a competition on her Facebook page. The now 45 year old me has it hung on the wall of my stairwell in a pride of place position. As a certain person would say... "WICKED!"

@@benmiller3252 We wouldn’t have Rose without Ace. Ace was the template by which NuWho built their companion characters. From an estate, can take care of herself, more backstory and character development that previous companions, fighting with her own inner demons from a childhood with an emotionally abusive mother. Definitely a far cry from the days of their primary role being to ask the Doctor questions so the audience could understand what he was doing.

I'm Hoping Russell T Davies Brings Her Back. He Stated He Was Going To Do For A Sixth Series Of The Sarah Jane Adventures But Unfortunately That Never Happened Due To The Sad Passing Of Elisabeth Sladen. I'm Hoping He Does That In The Actual Show Itself.

As someone who had up till a few months ago i had on only watched the new series and I bought the season 24 collection set and in the last story I just loved ace so much and bought loads of big finish story’s with ace in. Solphie aldred is easily one of my favourite actresses
