Are those heavy duty socks for protection? Normally the type used for soccer/futbol? I like how you decided to keep the decorative tall grass, good choice!
Also your choice of music is great like someone else said, relaxing. I can't believe you don't wear short pants or trousers on such a hot day! My neighbor won't either. I wear the thinnest fabric possible and also pour ice water over my head on those hot days. Then when the smallest breeze hits you you feel awesome and everything is right with the world
@@LuckyGuu the ones in this video are snake bite chaps/gaiters. They're not very comfortable. The other video I wear the football socks. Really just to protect my legs from debris. They work just fine. I only wear trousers to weddings and funerals these days haha
Getting to the end of your video and listening to the reason; you get two thumbs up 👍👍... I love charity; you never know why certain yards have gotten out of control, and a bit of charity within your community is well worth it; especially under the circumstances. ; )
What a lovely thing to do for that lady. Reminds me of the Detroit Mower Gang, who mow the playgrounds of Detroit so kids can play on them again. Well done sir.
You are one of my heroes. My husband is my first and he’ll be 80 in August!! He loves his yard work, too!!! Still going strong!!!! Keep up with God’s work helping others!!!
"Money's not everything" well said mate! Helping out your neighbor and or neighborhood is worth more then the mighty $! You've earned my subscription!!!
@@BladeMateLawnCare couldn’t agree with you more, I was just trying to be facetious, my bad. I have also taken pay cuts and elected for positions that made me content. It had nothing to do with money (don’t tell my wife) but because I feel that life is too short to be unhappy. Especially after my heart attack.
After watching all of the videos all I can say is WOW! You did an amazing job. This person is truly blessed to have someone like you to step up and do this massive job. You are truly an asset to your community!
Amen, brother never assume we know the circumstances of someone's life as you never know what someone is going through. Doing things to help others just because you can no matter how small you may think it is could mean the world to the other person.
Bravo to you for helping a neighbor out! Wish more people would see yards like this and not think, "How can I make a ton of money off of this yard" and start thinking, "How can I help this person out". Bravo!
We definitly need more people like you! Helping someone else not because you want money but for the sake of the good will. May you be blessed. Stay healthy mate!
You're going the right direction to be a huge channel Sean. :) By the way, I told John Kavli to subscribe to you, so you have him watching. If you do a lot of this kind of mowing, you'll need a Kavli balde. He's in Australia, you're in Australia. You must bump into him all the time. How big could Australia be. he he. By the way, I had a horrifying spider bite last year. I was down for 2 weeks. Turned my whole arm black and oozing puss 24/7. I never mentioned it because I'd never be able to post video or pictures of the arm on RU-vid. Now I have nerve damage but I'm getting better and better. You'll see on my videos that my right arm doesn't work the same way anymore. Got the bite weeding behind an air conditioner. You're right to stay away from those spiders!!
You're too kind Mike, thanks so much for the support! Man, that sucks! Spiders don't need to be deadly to wreck you for a while. Hope you mend quickly!
You have a big heart and it is very humbling to see you put so much effort into something that does not turn a financial result. You're an inspiration with your approach to others. Great video!!!
@@baylee_baby_ you tube takes a lot for their cut. He only sees maybe 2.7 percent of what he makes off of it. The main reason why most youtubers have sponsors and adds. Typically wont see hardly anything decent until 3 or 4 years and over a million subs..
People who ask, “How did they let it get that way?”, assume the person is standing on the same stair as them, with the same options available. Everyone isn’t standing on the same stair. Good for you!
Some of us can barely stand (literally) and I mow my neighbours yard when I struggle to do mine but help were I can. I wish someone would help me. Just someone asking if I need help (I'd say no and try myself) I had a stroke 9 months ago and couldn't walk for 4-5 months and can barely walk now... 38 years old and more disabled that a lot of elderly people but I don't look it until I can't walk 300m... dont judge but our looks . Thank you for what you have pointed out
Thank You for helping this homeowner. I know you were exhausted, but will be rewarded someday. Maybe not money, but the word is out now about your good deed. TY
What impacted me the most was when you mentioned that you'd been helped in times of need and believed you should return the favour by paying it forward. Let's hope karma looks after your machines.
It's sad to see so many overgrown lawns the elderly have. Cheers to Sean for bringing back lawns to true beauty. I wish more younger folks would help the elderly like Sean does. Most of us don't like asking for help and do appreciate people like Sean who help us 😁🥰
I bet the homeowner was beside themself with happiness! I know that had to have been weighing heavily on her mind and heart. You truly were her hero. Thank you for sharing your joy with us!!😊
Red-back spider: how nature says DO NOT TOUCH! Yikes! Cheers for being a great guy and doing good for people who need help. You're an example to us all!
Awesome job! What a blessing to the homeowner and a burden lifted that she doesn't have to bear now. I'm sure it was a great lift to her spirits. God bless you for helping where you can!
Wow that just touched my heart! That was so incredibly nice of you and extremely humble thing for you to do for free and without judgement! Way to be an example and to spread much needed kindness in this very unkind world!
Mate, you are a dead-set legend. I wish there were more people in the world with the heart like yours. It's a reminder to all of us, that reaching out to others is a truly human experience and lifts us all up. I wish only great things for you, your family and your business.
Bloody beauty Sean, you're a marvellous guy, the world is a better place with you in it, thanks for what you do, my warmest regards to you and your family xx
Good job from Italy . I’m not a professional gardener or something but every year I take my mower , trimmer , tools and my trusty 35 years Toyota and I go around my village to help and cleans the gardens of the elderly and lonely people that can’t afford or do not have family to do it for them. At the end of the day it’s not about a Thank you or else , it’s just about the satisfaction that you get in the end knowing you did something good for people that are not choosing not to do it but but can’t just do it. Again well done mate!!!
You’re an absolute gem for doing this! 20/30 years ago this was the type of neighbourhood I grew up in where we’d help our neighbours and not condemn them. I bet you took a load of her her shoulders in doing what you did. Big kudos buddy!
I am glad that you feel good helping this lady out. There’s more to life then money,it comes and goes but the feeling that you helped someone in need will never leave you.
You blessed this home owner. Stuff happens and people need help sometimes. It’s hard to get work done when your body is broken. Bless you for helping out. You are doing the right thing. This world needs more people like you.
You are a very good man! It is lovely to see a younger person inject free services into their local community! Too many are judgmental (as you say) and don’t know the personal situations of these homeowners. I love your videos and avidly watch each video.🤗🇦🇺
You have a heart of Gold, I love what you said before you explained yourself "very, very content" you Sir are a bloody LEGEND! #Payitforward Blessings to you and yours mate.
Thank you for helping our neighbors, that’s rare but it is appreciate it. On a lighter note, I will let my grass grow too just to see him doing the job. 😂 you are a beautiful person.
watched all 3 videos and I must say your an inspiration to all in the lawn care business, if you don't love what you do why do it. Always give back, the reward is worth way more than the money. Keep up the awesome content 👏 cheers from Los Angeles 👍 your buddy-Adam
I think you're a wonderful person for helping out someone in need! Too many people are so busy with their own lives that they overlook those who are in need of help. It warms my heart to see there are still people in the world that care about others!🙂💕 God Bless you !!!🙏😇
That was simply awesome and inspiring. This is what we all need in our communities...some compassion and kindness. Respect sir! Btw, that little mower is a complete beast!!
I LOVED what you said at the end. You’re exactly right....instead of asking ‘how can’ in a judgmental way, ask ‘what’s happening’. We never know what ppl are dealing with.
Thats truly great of you to do that and to even take the time to think there could be a reason for it,let alone do the work.I felt choked listening to this with you understanding after having your own problems, you deserve all success that comes your way.Great job as well.Brilliant.
One job I did I asked my wife to give this client the estimate. The woman agreed to the price so I took the job. It took four days of cleaning just to cut the actual lawn. It turned out amazing. While reviewing the bills to go out I noticed this job was missing two zeros. I told my wife go quote 4,500 but she quoted 45.00. I spent more than that just on fuel. But as a man of my word I sent the bill out for 45.00. Needless to say my wife doesn't do estimates anymore. Lol. However, because of that job, I got numerous calls to help out in that town. So in the end I actually made more than the original job so it all worked out. You never know who is watching your work who might end up being a future client. Keep up the great community work Shawn. We did it for our countries and now we are doing it for our communities. Much respect to you sir.
Hello I've been mowing in my local village in March lock down as the grass was a foot high no charge as it was sheltered housing, Victas do what it says on the box turns grass into lawns
Congratulations!!!! I first saw your video on the community project you did I followed all three videos and thought to myself the while time... this person truly need help... not dollars, not words.... I'm a deputy sheriff in Jefferson parish, right outside of New Orleans, Louisiana. I see soooo many people in this same situation. I live in an apartment but I have 4 chainsaws, two lawnmowers, and a weed eater. for just this reason if you. don't take care of your community... why are you there in the first place.... you are a credit to all those around you and I wish you all the luck and blessings one can give another. send me an address where I can get a package to you. oystereaters@gmail.com. outstanding work too. I know from experience all that tedious work you did and how gratifying it is when you can admire it when it is complete. Good Job!!!!... - William
Thank you, Sean listening to you at the end brought a tear. You are kind and generous, and I trust your wife is also. Thanks paying forward. If I could be so modest, I do the same, paying it forward on a smaller scale. I don't have the physical stamina to do what you do. When I was young I loved mowing and with a push mover. Thanks again. Kathy
I am humbled to be a subscriber of yours after that lawn was completed. A true and humbled person you are Sean. For that video Sean I take my hat off and bow before you mate. Luv to you and your family from a queenslander.
Love your philosophy about money not being everything. Sometimes just the satisfaction of doing something well for someone else is the reward. You do a great job and I see that you're not afraid to bend down and use your hands when you need to. You take pride in what you do and it shows. Have a wonderful day and stay safe.
I think getting the satisfaction of doing a good job making something look good and pleasing to the eye is always a reward, I used to do residential and commercial landscaping during the 90's, making a lawn or any landscape look beautiful is quite relaxing.
You are"simply the best"the world needs more people like you. The results are truly astonishing. I bet this lady can't stop looking at her garden now and when it goes green it will truly wonderful for her. Great job from a wonderful man. 👋👋👋👋👌👌👌👍👍👍💕🇬🇧
I would love to donate to your cause to help with costs for petrol, any servicing for your machines or anything of the sort! Keep up the great work. You're a true aussie hero!
I may be introducing a channel membership soon. It's like $2 a month and will come with perks. If only a handful of people signed up, it would go a long way. I plan to use that money to free me up to do more of this type of work 🙂
@@BladeMateLawnCare i think that's a great idea. RU-vid has different ways to raise funds. You could go live and get people to donate in the chat. I guess it all comes down to your target audience and which method is the best for you to gain the most from 👍 wouldn't hurt to look at your channel analytics.
Love that you did that for her! We do this all the time in my neighborhood! I gave bought 4 old Riding Lawn Mowers just to do this sort of thing. They all need a bit of fixing up but I’m up for the job. I help my neighborhood as much as I can. One of our guys brings his big Kubota for bigger jobs and the City helps us out with 40 yd. dumpsters. Another agency helps us out w/bags and tools and such and all the neighbors lend a hand! We’ve lost have our population in the last 20 years and the jobs that go with it. Tax base as well. So it’s a bid job to take care of the vacant land left behind. Your videos are inspiring!
This is the first video I saw of yours. You are a true inspiration and we need many more people like you in this world. All it takes is that act of kindness!
I love your mission, I, too am bothered by untidy, overgrown lawns, etc...I know the great satisfaction you derive from cleaning it all up. Even though there isn't a lot of grass involved I do LOVE the smell of (Napalm in the Morning) grass, foliage. You stand back and can hardly believe you made it look so good again, that it once did look like your finished product. You're an awesome guy and I'm sure you're not doing this for the kudos people are tossing your way. You're a kind, thoughtful individual and if you don't mind my saying it, you're easy on my eyes. I'm a bit older than you and I want your wife to know I'm just appreciating a handsome man working hard for his community, nothing more.
You keep doing this for others that need the help. We will keep watching and given you a thumbs up so you can get something on the back side for helping. Sometimes it just takes one caring person to reach out and others will jump on to help too. It may not be much but we can pray and cheer you on. God bless🤗
As crazy as this world is right now, the one thing we can give each other is kindness, and you fit that bill! I commend you on your amazing attitude, God Bless you.....
We need more people like you in this world to give a helping hand and eventually it will be contagious till more people give one! God bless you sir for your wonderful work!
Bloody Bonza ! It's very hard to keep energy levels going when battling a crippling Ailment , And a helping hand is often gratefully received . My hat is doffed to you Sir .
