Application:
Mix Talstar Pro Insecticide at a rate of 1oz per gallon of water.
Using Talstar Pro for Termite treatments you will mix 4 ounces of Talstar with 4 gallons of water and combine that with 10 linear feet of trenched dirt from around your foundation. Repeat this all the way around your home until you have a continuous band of bifenthrin protecting your home from termites.
Talstar Professional Insecticide can be used indoors as a crack and crevice treatment and outdoors as a perimeter application or broadcast. The label contains specific instructions for treating for termites and the application techniques used.
Indoors Apply as a coarse, low pressure, crack and crevice or spot spray to areas where pests hide, such as baseboards, corners, storage areas, closets, around water pipes, doors and windows, attics and eaves, behind and under refrigerators, cabinets, sinks, furnaces, stoves, the underside of shelves, drawers and similar areas. Do not use as a space spray. Pay particular attention to cracks and crevices.
For outdoor use please consult label for specific outdoor use instructions.
Coverage Area: 1oz of Talstar will treat 1000 square feet as a broadcast mist application. Generally it will be applied with a pump sprayer but could also be power sprayed or fogged.
Shelf Life: Talstar Professional Insecticide has a shelf life of up to 4 years if stored properly.
Time to Kill: Talstar Professional Insecticide kills immediately as soon as the target pest is contacted by the chemical and also provides a residual protection.

Talstar works well on many types of ants on the exterior of homes and as a preventative. If you have them inside though we recommend using a non repellent spray like Dominion 2L on the exterior and bait on the interior. That method will provide the best control and ensure you dont trap the population inside with a repellent spray (Talstar).

Hello, can anyone tell me what i did wrong, first time worked good, 10 months later its ineffective, i did 1oz per galon. I kept the talstar bottle in my shed. I sprayed more this time yet still see spiders and insects .

What's preventing this from killing good insects like Butterflies, Honeybees, Praying Mantises, etc.. Won't spraying it like this essentially kill the ecosystem?

Hi, very good presentation. I have lacebugs on my azaleas and want to use Bifen I/T on the. I have a 32oz pump sprayer that I plan to use. I’m thinking that 1/4 oz would be used of product per 32 oz. I have about 10 or so azaleas to treat which are about 2 ft in diameter. Also, can I add fungicide to the mixture (Bioadvanced 3 in 1 insect, disease. Mite control) Tau-Fluvalinate - 0.61% Tebuconazole - 0.65%?

Hello Sir, I have ants in my apartment and want to use this, would this be too strong for just ants? Also, after spraying how long do I have to wait before cleaning my floors? Do I need to have windows opened to apply indoors?

I wanted to make sure I'm using Talstar P correctly, I mixed 2 tbs per gallon of water, shook it very good, then I sprayed around the exterior base or foundation, up on the exterior wall and out on the ground 2-3 feet each way all the way around my home. Then I also sprayed landscape areas, bushes, plants, etc.? Does this sound right? Thank you, John

Apparently I went overkill with 2floz/gal. I went with the strongest mixture I could find on the bottle to declare war on my brown recluses.

As long as you don't go over the labeled amounts you should be fine. We would recommend using only a 0.02 to 0.06 oz per gallon of water.

Brown Recluse need to burn!!! But I may dial it down a bit to 1oz/gal next time. I don't think there's much harm in 2oz/gal especially when I spray in the morning then head out to work right after. Just wasting material.

Yes that isn't going to harm anything but it is stronger than you need. You do have the right idea though you will want to stay off of the area for at least 4 hours

Could I use this product in a hose-in-sprayer? I have several fire ant mounds in the backyard and want to use granulars (Bifen L/P Granulars) and spray the whole back yard lawn with telstar p...is that over kill?

Yes you can use this product in a hose end sprayer, for fire ants you will really need to follow the label recommendations for a mound / soil drench.

How does this product compare to something like Taurus SC or Termidol? Are they similar in use/pest control?

+TriggerFingaRichie The active in Talstar is Bifenthrin which differs from Taurus and Termidor in that it is repellent while the other two are non-repellent. It is a much safer chemical to use and can be sprayed at up to 21 day intervals since it does not persist in the environment. Taurus and Termidor have a two applications a year limit. Also Talstar can be used indoors as a baseboard and crack and crevice treatment which Termidor and Taurus are only exterior. For general pest control Talstar is the way to go. If you are wanting to trench for termites around a structure then go with Taurus. It is cheaper than Termdior and has the same chemical in it.

Is it really that safe after it dries? My concern is for children playing on the patio after I spray my paver patio for ants. Since it last up to 90 days how is it still safe just because it’s dry? Also does this stuff kill on contact or does is it just a repellent? Sorry for the many questions but great video and thumbs up.

Thank you for your feedback. As long as labeled instructions are followed, these products are safe to use around children and pets, even after it dries. We sell a lot of Bifenthrin which is the active ingredient in Talstar. In texas though we recommend Bifen IT because it is made here and is cheaper than Talstar.

How long does it take to kill waterbugs? I sprayed twice already and I still them in areas I sprayed.

One the waterbug or other insects come in contact with the insecticide it will take about 20 minutes to start effecting their nervous system.

Hi, thanks for watching! No, Talstar Pro is not labelled for use in both ULV or thermal foggers. If you are wanting to use your propane fogger, check out CSI 4-4 or Stryker 100. Both of these will treat many pests and work similarly to Talstar. We are going to take your advice and give Talstar P a shot at controlling the mosquitoes around our pool. Just a quick question: We are not treating an infestation. We are simply wanting an 'edge' on the seasonal population. With that being said, how long should we expect to see results from a treatment. Is it just for the day/evening, or is there a residual effect which will keep the population down. How often should we plan on treating? We live in North Carolina, so our spring/summer can get quite hot and very humid. Thank you so much for taking time to share your expertise. Your videos are our "go to" whenever we have a question about pests. Warmly, Nicole

No, you heard him correctly, however, for most general applications 1 oz per gallon of water is the ideal mix ratio.

Hi, Daniel. Re-application timing can vary depending on what you're treating, how much was applied, severity of an infestation, etc. Generally, though, you will re-apply in about 3 months.

How long approximately does it last outside as a perimeter spray? We had a terrible problem with bugs, bought bifen it results are amazing I’m just unsure how often to reapply? Im currently doing every 2 weeks. Im in Canada, summers very hot and humid. Also get rain 2-3x a week.

As a perimeter spray you should be getting at least 30 days. When spraying on grass and living plants, lets say for mosquitoes then I would say about 14 days.

Depends on what bugs and where you are applying. The product is labelled for 60-90 days of control but with application frequencies down to once ever 14 days if necessary. Typically our customers will get between 60 and 90 days even in Houston where we have the same heat and humidity and rain. The key is applying it in the target areas. Mosquitoes- undersides of vegetation, roaches & ants, weep holes, plumbing entrances, window frames, door jambs, electrical entrances etc. If you put it where the rain wont get it but the insects will you will see very good and longer lasting results than broadcasting it everywhere.

Dirty Burger I bought a 1 gallon sprayer, I sprayed out only 1 foot (because my dog always eats the grass) but up 3 feet...also sprayed all windows & doors... I wet it but not drench, a nice few even layers. Maybe 1 level before a full on “soak”... noticed litterally a 99% reduction in bugs. If you don’t have a dog like me, I’d say first make sure all major holes/entry points are sealed (caulking and spray foam), keep the grass around House very short, make sure no plants are touching the house, than spray full perimeter (2 feet out or so and 3 feet up. Than spray all windows and doors. I use 1oz per gallon of water, I re apply every 2-3 weeks (old house in the country).

You can use Bifenthrin to control flies, you will need to spray it on the resting areas of flies. Fly control is always more successful using multiple solutions, bait, fly lights etc.

For 0.02% dilution, mix 0.33 fluid oz. of Talstar ® P Professional Insecticide per gallon of water. For 0.06% dilution, mix 1 fluid oz. Talstar ® P Professional Insecticide per gallon of water (1 fluid oz. = 2 tablespoons). Do not use household utensils to measure Talstar ® P Professional Insecticide. Use the higher rate for heavy pest infestation, quicker knockdown or longer residual control. R

Outdoors? you only need protective gloves that are rated for pesticide application, Nitrile gloves like the ones he is using in the video that go up to about forearm length. Indoors you'll want the gloves and a respirator that is NIOSH certified.

Hi Armando, Talstar is excellent as a tree spray insecticide. It is water based so you dont have to worry about burning your foliage or the plant. You can apply at 1/2 to 1oz per gallon and spray to wet not runoff.

.125 once per Gallon? Dangit. I used about a quart for 2 gallons.. It didnt seem to work with a couple ounces so I poured a lot. I live in Swampy Florida and the skeeters will eat you alive.. I actual also used a sprayer that hooks up to a water hose also. That put down a lot but the bugs were gone for 7 months.

Even Safe things need to be handled properly to remain safe. The product specifications are that it is safe when used as directed and only exposed in concentrations of application after it has dried, but a person putting down the application will be exposed to MORE than that since they are APPLYING it. Thus, when handling the CONCENTRATE, when diluting, and when applying the product, anyone who plans to be safe would and should wear protective gloves and masks to prevent EXCESSIVE contact with the product. Did you know that regular baking flour is explosive? Then why are we allowed to eat it?
