Mine arrived today too! I bought a Tamagotchi Pix screen protector because someone on Twitter told me the screens are the same size & they showed me a pic of theirs and it fit perfectly! Won’t take mine out of the box until the screen protector arrives. Funny to see packaging size differences, it reminds me of the Tamagotchi Meets vs the On. The Meets boxes were so tiny vs the oversized boxes the On re-brand had in North America. Also, the Pix arrive in Canada in November. Totally preordering the green colour! Great video as always!!
Hi again Michael! I'm excited that your Smart arrived too. Have you put the screen protector on it yet and started it up? I remembered I bought some screen protectors for my meets so I'll have to see if they fit the Pix and the Smart. My Pix is starting to get a little scratched up! Also a green Pix! You are going to love it. It's very fun!
@@Wiseguy1138 I can’t wait to see what you think of the Smart! You have more patience than I do… I couldn’t wait for a screen protector to start mine up! 😅
Did you know there is a Tamagotchi anime from Japan? 143 episodes were produced, with 3 more series coming after the original series. Only 26 episodes of the original series were dubbed by a American dubbing company named Bright Way Studios, it was aired on 9GO in Australia. The dub is notorious for being dubbed poorly. The movie was dubbed better. We have no idea if there will be a new Tamagotchi anime series, but there is a small chance for one. Along with the animes, tons of merchandise based on the items in the show was released, The toys based on the show are very rare, but the books based on the anime are common on USA eBay, but still, the price is kinda expensive as it may be coming from Japan.
Ahhh, i bet that the packaging on the Smart is so much smaller than that US Pix because it's the Japanese version! i bet that, if(/when, hopefully!) the Smart releases in America, it'll have much more of a bulky, store-shelf presence to sell to kids
The touchscreen is weird! I am having so much trouble getting the screen to switch menus. I have a friend who can read Japanese so when I get a chance I think I'm going to put together a menu guide for the Smart :) Stay tuned!
As a collector of Tamagotchi, do you feel that Bandai, with their recent versions like the Smart and Pix, have been slacking with the build quality? I feel as if they are a bit fragile due to, which I concluded to be because of the low quality of materials they used. I mean the 4U was built very nice and felt solid enough that I wasn't afraid I'd break it if I dropped it or set it down a bit to hard. Also, what's your opinion on the variety of functions that other models such as the Meets, ON, P's, and 4U? Those models, to me, are the best examples of how thru use of Bandai's technological capabilities, they encapsulated the visionary essence of what give Tamagotchi such a charm. I feel that in the latest version they sorta depended on gimmicks to make the sales and have steered away from what they had going up until now.
Hi! I unfortunately did not start collecting seriously until a few years ago and I never got a chance to purchase some of those iconic older models like the P's and 4U. Personally I have noticed a difference between the build quality of the Japanese Meets and the English On, so I'm sure you are on to something with thinking that the older versions are much nicer in quality. I do think that the screen quality and animation has gotten better from the Meets/On to the Pix/Smart. The animations are a lot smoother! I've also dropped my Pix a number of times and it's still working! So maybe it feels cheaper but it still seems to be decent quality. Thank you for leaving such a nice comment that really got me thinking. I'm sorry it took me so long to respond!
Yes. The device pops out of the watch band super easy, and clips back in to it just as easily. There’s no heart rate sensor (like the Digimon Vital Bracelet has) so you do not need to wear it on your wrist if you don’t want to. Also taking it out of the watch band exposes the little hooks on the top that you can thread a chain or lanyard through like traditional Tamagotchis! 😊
@@dog2bunny1 Yes you do! It's a really nice device I can't get over how nice the screen is and how fun it is to play. Which one are you thinking about getting?
