Tamia, Yesssss!!! Grown and sexy! I absolutely love the tempo, the sensual lyrics, and the overall vibe. I could listen to this song, over and over again. Can't wait to see the video.
This could be a game changer. It's a nice break from all of the male-bashing, single lady anthems that have saturated the market in the recent years. You'll never hear most of the younger and newer female R&B artists make a song like this. Tamia displays a level of maturity in this song that is quite refreshing. Hats off to her for stepping outside of the box. Bravo, Tamia!
chicago77 Hold up. I'mma let you finish, but "male bashing" songs? Boy bye, rappers make female bashing songs and videos all the time (Snoop Dogg bitches ain't shit comes to mind, but pick any rapper and song of your choice), and nobody say shit, but TLC say they don't want no scrubs and dudes are crying about male bashing. #ICant
***** You're bashing men right now. I see women dating the "Snoop Doggs" of the world on a daily basis and then have the nerve to get mad when these knuckleheads treat women exactly the way men like that are expected to treat women. Also, instead of women moving on from dudes like that they'd rather cheat, key up cars, slash tires, burn clothes, and bust windows. The fact that you're a bad girl means that you don't even like respectable men and will probably never date one. #ByeFelicia
***** Hmmm ... what is that I smell? ... it's feminism, and it stinks. Thanks for your input, but it wasn't necessary. Equality and fair treatment should not be gender-specific. The same thing goes for respectability. I'm not giving misogynistic men a pass or an excuse for the mistreatment of women, but you did assume this simply because I am a male. Every relationship that I've had with any woman has been a healthy one with no mistreatment involved on either side. I never needed to be "nice" to date women- I've only been myself, and it worked out just fine. Don't let your book smarts get in the way of your social intelligence. Your feminist "consciousness-raising" only consists of reducing men to stereotypes. You've done nothing at all to help the one who you felt obligated to defend. Save your comments for a weak-minded boy who is easily intimidated by the feminist pseudo-intellectual. Good day, ma'am.
For my Generation (I'm only 15 years old) this is what you call true R&B she's not putting herself out there, And no Autotune, there are talented singer's out here in my generation but people never wanna notice them
Nah, man, just kidding! :)) In the face of splendor criticism sometimes falls short :)) The song's good, but what's up with all those shooby dee shooby lala dididiradada in the Chorus? And a soda and a sandwich? Come on! Men are more sophisticated than that!
Calin Constantin LOL easy it's an after sex song. Men are actually quite simple, tho the times have become more sophisticated. Of course that's all a man may want after a great time with his lady. Trust, effort and simplicity go a long way :) We forget that a lot as a society.
Calin Constantin I get your point... it actually is a simple song, and we are used to hear complex compositions when it comes to Tamia's oustanding vocals, but I really like this... It's simple but yet amazing. She has done a great job with this song and the song is just great. - Tamia is pretty much a vocal legend if you compare her to those so called "new Popstars" who can't even carry a tune.
This song is fucking sick but knowing def jam they won't give her the promotion she needs and rightfully deserve like how they did Amerie...but if she wants younger audience her album better be full of shit like this
Love it as much as I love Tamia!!! I disagree that its not mature, for 30+, etc. You have to learn to enjoy the simplicity of things, have fun, be silly, laugh and be youthful! Doesn't make it immature, my opinion. I highly doubt if this is what her entire album will consist of, all her albums have a "fun" song or two on them but Tamia never fails in delivering!!
I love the new direction Tamia is taking with this song. Its a little different from the other songs in the past but its still amazing. She can sing anything and make it sound good. Real talent!
Spend the night That's what I'm talking about boy but I'm just saying uh And I ain't playing It ain't like that with me when we be layin' uh uh uh uh Let me love you You're looking tired of these basic lovers uhhh And I know there’s several You got the highest you don't have to settle See I'm the type of the girl To kill to love you down Like you can be the king And I'll bring you the crown Like shimmy shimmy coco puff Shimmy shimmy pow and Me and you on the ground Baby now If you wanna ride these curves Hop in your Chevvy nova And if you gonna drive with nerve Baby I'mma be your chauffeur See I can make you feel good And when it's all over I'mma fluff your pillow baby Bring you a sandwich and a soda Be my lover I’ll dig you hard like a metal shovel they don’t shine I could be your gold You had okay let me give you better yeah I ain’t stutter said give you better See I'm the type of the girl To kill to love you down Like you can be the king And I'll bring you the crown Like shimmy shimmy coco puff Shimmy shimmy pow and Me and you on the ground Baby now If you wanna ride these curves Hop in your Chevvy nova And if you wanna drive with nerve Baby I'mma be your chauffeur See I can make you feel good And when it's all over I'mma fluff your pillow baby Bring you a sandwich and a soda mmm ohhh oohhh woahhh oooo yeah! eh! Cause if you wanna ride these curves Hop in your Chevvy nova And if you wanna drive with nerve Baby I'll be your chauffeur Cause see I can make you feel good baby And when it's all over I'mma fluff your pillow baby Bring you a sandwich and a soda
I liked it as soon as I heard it. Tamia we all know can hit them high as notes. So yes this is still a nice simple song. Love the arrangement and her delivery.
I doubt that anything is being done to her voice as much as it is the fact that she's simply using the lower part of her voice , which sounds great actually. Some people are so caught up in high notes and those sounds but, I was noticing how singers of the past seemed to be more concerned with the QUALITY of sound they produced rather than trying to squeal out notes just to claim a range of so many octaves.
The problem with the music industry now is how easy it is to download audio from sites like youtube, dailymotion, etc. music is practically free nowadays unless the public makes an effort to support their fav artist.
