Tamiya Comical Frog | Who is the Comical Range for? | Is it any fun? 

This is a fantastic travel RC for when you are out and about 👍

Wild Willy 2 is dangerously high on my want list currently 🤔😂👍

It’s what the youth need, get outside with an RC instead of watching TikTok 🤣😂👍

It certainly brings a smile to my maybe that’s why it’s comical 🤔😂👍

You should do, that one looks particularly good and can be modded if you desire 👍

Yes I think they have that about them, as I think they are best to tootle about the garden and things like that 👍

It does seem to cheerfully bobble about the place, we really should get it out more 🤣😂👍

It is a surprising fun vehicle to run in all honesty, something often overlooked, but it’s fun 👍

To be fair this has taken everything that has been thrown at it. Tamiya are good with the plastic they use on all the models making them forgiving, but this is close to bombproof so ideal for smaller drivers. Yes the Tires are awesome 👍

The Comical Hotshot looks like fun 👍

Ha that was many years ago at a Halloween party, for authenticity we put face paints on under our masks, but spent most of the night not wearing them, no idea why the Chief Engineer also did his hands! 🤣😂

I’m sure somewhere on RU-vid you would find the recipe for some, but the Comical model might need some glue and a dust off afterwards! Soon all the businesses in the world will just be one mega business, I love how big companies say they like to think of it as a family, but more than happy to boot you out the nest as your just a number on a spreadsheet🧐

I current work for a large UK insurer, we were bought out 2yrs ago by a Canadian Financial company, now been told that they aren’t doing any personal lines of insurance, sold the motor policies to another insurer, sold the home & pet policies to another insurer and those that are left, are likely to loose their jobs in approx 24mths time, unless a miracle happens and another insurer buys the remaining partner insurance policies, along with the staff. My company was originally a 300 year old company, broken up like a garage sale, but with no pretty woman ! Just some Matt Craven look alike with rimless glasses, looking to break up UK history ! This all unravelled when a certain former CEO of RBS (grim reaper) sold us out in 2021 after making sure he sat pretty! He’s now CEO of EasyJet and various other boards, ready for his next fat pay cheque ! In the meantime the current owners of our company, are set on a course of shutdown….needless to say, I’m moderating what I am thinking on this open platform! The Hornet is a great looking one in the range, I’ve seen one made over to look like a Mario Cart 😂

I agree I think they are good to get younger minds hooked, but given the price I’d say get another Lunchbox, as they are priced better. Out of interest do you have to be careful with the Pumpkin, has it gone brittle over time? 👍

@@RCsoandso Yes indeed, very much so! All of the vintage cars from the eighties that I have restored have to be driven fairly carefully (Clod buster, 959, monster beetle, celica GRB, Mud blaster, pumpkin etc) The ABS plastics become very brittle with time. I keep my vintage ones for gentle runs on forgiving surfaces, and use re re's for driving hard! Luckily with the pumpkin spares are readily available, and cheap..... but that's definitely not the case with some of the other models that haven't been re released. I believe you guys have had similar issues with some of your older cars to! Some say to boil the old plastic parts, some soak them in oil.... apparently to soften them back up. But, I've never tried it, and must admit aren't particularly convinced that it would help! 👍 👍 👍

That’s why we got rid of the Blackfoot, it couldn’t take the strain. I don’t think boiling them and soaking in oil would do the job, sounds more like a recipe for a Greek fish 🤔😂👍

@@RCsoandso Greek fish! 😂 I haven't got a clue about cooking.... but from what I understand about Plastics, ABS is non pourus.... which kind of suggests it will not absorb oils, and surely boiling it would cause thermal expansion and make it crack more? 🤔 But hey, I learned many years ago 'don't belive everything you see on the intetnet'!!! 👍 👍 👍

Yes they do know what they are doing, keeping it all in house is the best idea, especially for quality control 👍

My memory of the Frog and Grasshopper were seeing the kits at the mall hobby shop and really wishing that I could get one someday . And then seeing them in broken pieces at my friend's house on his dad's workbench . He had several grasshoppers and a frog that were all reduced to a heap of rubbish . He gave me this advice : Do not buy a frog or especially not a grasshopper , get something better . Years later I bought several Blackfoots and have to agree that they were toys and not the best designs . I have no desire to relive those , but a nice Blazing Blazer would be great .

Very good point, the price is premium here, which is surprising, it’s a good kit but I think it does make it too much for the target audience. The Frog is like the Brat and I understand the Grasshopper is the same and the steering is rubbish, as it’s just wires. The Blackfoot is a great kit, we had to get rid of ours as it was so old and brittle it was breaking every time it went out! 👍
