So this is technically the first kit built in 2023 and I love it!! I thought it was a cool looking one from the few videos I have seen of it and it looks great in person! I did make a minor change in the build but it was a no brainer for me and my running. No running and the again the weather is not allowing anything to dry out at all!
You guys are all awesome and I appreciate all the great comments and questions from everyone. Really enjoying talking to you all in the comments section.

It is a cool looking one in person and I think the on-road tires it is shown with take away from it a lot. It is much cooler looking and more practical with the Blitzer Beetle tires on it! I just don't see many people seeing with street tires are going to have that "I want that" reaction! I am looking forward to getting it out for a run!

It turned out really nice and I am so happy to have one finally. The on-road tires it comes with confused me, not sure what their game plan was for that! It looks much more proper with the BB tires on it!

The ground is so wet it just doesn't want any more! We seem to get rain every 3 days since Christmas time! Just as soon as I have hopes of running something it rains again! LOL! It is fine, I have plenty of indoor stuff to do but I would like to drive one or tow of them! I am super happy with the way this turned out. Thank goodness for big stickers that hid a few minor pain flaws!

Hi Addam, man you sure did a great job on this one! It looks so cool and good advice about using that gunmetal paint. Definitely a good call to use those tyres over the stock ones. Too bad about the weather, hope it warms up soon (same here in the UK at the moment, it's freezing!). Looking forward to the run after the thaw! Cheers! :)

Thanks Mark!! The gun metal paint looks fantastic but anything and everything imperfect will stand out in the paint. Thankfully there are some rather large stickers on here that help hide a few minor things! The weather has been so nutty here! Rain every 3 days at least and the temperature goes from arctic cold to late spring warm and back again all in the same week!! I have given up on trying to plan anything and will get things run when I can! 😂 It is winter but here lately we get a new season every day!!

The DT03 buggies do well out on the track so I hoping the bigger tires will give this one an advantage and really do well! It turned out looking fantastic! I have always been a sucker for the stadium trucks, I still need to get the Nissan Titan kit on the DT02 chassis but I think it is a bit overpriced so I have been reluctant in buying it!

Thanks! I really love the gunmetal color, it can be a pain to get perfect though! I am very happy with this truck and with the tires swapped out it drives well too! I am glad you liked it, especially since you normally are not a big fan of them! Take care and have a great weekend!

Your Aqroshot turned out fantastic Addam! Love it! I'm kind of glad that my painting skills suck and I had to go solid black that way our Aqroshots looks a bit different! I just added sound kit to mine. I plan to make a video next week to show that off. I'm still debating one whether or not to keep the brushless system. It is plenty fast enough but the cogging can be quite bad at times. The included brushed motor would not do that. My only problem is I don't have any batteries with Tamiya connectors anymore except for 2 that came with my Heng Long tanks.

Yeah, it kinda stinks the painting didn't go to plan for you but we did end up getting two different looking trucks so it worked out! Go to amazon and check for adapters for the battery plugs, they usually have just about everything. Search for Deans to Tamiya plug or XT60 to Tamiya plug, you know, whatever you are rocking and it should bring up a list of available plug adapters. I have made them myself before but for the $8 or so for a few of them it is just easier to to buy them premade. I use them in mine as some of my batteries have Deans/T-plug style and others have XT plugs on them and it just makes it so I can run them in what I need it. People always give the Tamiya plugs such a bad wrap but I have only messed up on and I was way over geared and pulling a ton of amps so it was really my fault for overloading the system. Obviously I would not run anything bigger the 2s on them but I have never had another issue from anything 2s or nimh.

Great job with the paint and decals! My son has the Neo Fighter...we love this chassis. Very durable, can take loads of power, and very stable at high speeds.

Thank you! It is a fantastic chassis and an underrated one in my opinion. When I saw this about a year or so ago on another channel I have been on the lookout for it! I was so happy to be able to get one and it looks fantastic. I still don't understand it coming with the street tires on it but the BB ones make it look the part!

Thanks!! I love the look of it and being on the DT03 chassis I know it is going to drive well! I am still confused why they went with the on-road tires but that was easily fixed with the BB tries which look way more appropriate!

Great build to start the year Addam. I like the colour. I put Blitzer tyres on mine too as the stock ones are hopeless on everything. We have got the same issue with the weather here too so if I do go out with the RC's there is a big cleanup after! Best wishes my friend 🙂

Thanks Pete! I love the way it turned out and the little splashes of chrome really pop in person! The weather here is a train wreck! It will be freezing cold for a day or tow then warm right up to shorts and t-shirt weather then rain and and repeat every 3-4 days! The temperature forecast looks like an EKG readout and the rain comes the moment you have hope it may dry up some!! I am just happy I have a bunch of indoor projects to occupy myself with!!

Come on Addam, It's Winter! I know we are all waiting for better climate so we can admire our tires spraying those nice sand fountains. My track is in terrible conditions, months with no maintenance..... A great work is expect us to fix the wether damages. That's life! Ciao Nanni

If it was just wet sand it would be fine but the area where the track is was part of my dad's garden for years so it is very fine soil that holds water very well and gets very muddy the moment you start driving on it. I love building cars, I don't mind fixing cars. I do hate cleaning muddy cars though! I am just frustrated with the rain, the moment it looks like it may dry out again we get another 2 days of rain and starts the whole wait over again! Sorry be complain... I just want to run them without spending hours cleaning..

Hi there Addam, a great start to 2023. The Aqroshot looks amazing, just something nice about the gun metal colour. I did my CC-02 Mercedes-Benz G500 in the same colour, and your right about the sensitivity of the colour, but worth it. Looks great. Best wishes to you all 😊😊😊

Thanks John! The color is fantastic but it is very picky and sensitive! thankfully this one has some big stickers on it to help hide the inconsistencies in it! It looks awesome in person and the little touches of chrome make it looks great! The proper off-road tires help it out a lot, not sure why they chose to put on-road tires on it!!

We've all been there matey.... My worst one was when I was shopping on ebay for a lawnmower spark plug and accidentally got distracted and sucked into the ebay rc wormhole and ended buying an Avante black special! 🤣 😂 It happens to the best of us fella! Cool looking kit there, I'd never seen this model before last week.... but have seen 3 of my subbed channels feature it in the last few days! Looks like a lot of fun Mate. 👍 👍 👍 👍

I am glad I am not the only one but even some day i am impressed with how quickly I can veer off course by getting distracted!! The other day I went out to do one thing in the garage for a video and next thing I had 3 different things on the bench and realized I had not done the one thing I intended to go out and do and had gotten sidetracked by 3 different other things!!! I think it is not a terribly popular kit since it is not a classic re-release and it it shown and comes with the street tires! Why they went with the street tires on there I do not know but I personally think if they had put the BB tires on there to start it would have sold much better!

I hope they show up down there for you, I know Tamiya USA just got a shipment not to ling ago so they may have made another batch of them. The RC weather has been pretty rough. Over all the weather has not been bad but It rains a bunch and then stays cloudy and then we get one day of sun to where I think it may dry up and then boom... more rain an repeat!! LOL! I went to walk up to the house and open my garage door to see that giant puddle!!! I had to hop over part of it to get out of there! The well isn't gonna run dry on us that it for sure!!! LOL!

@@AddamsPlayground The DT03 is one of my favourite chassis, I've never driven one but love the old school narrow design like the Hotshot etc. We can buy one overseas but very expensive so out of our budget, yes hopefully we see them, I think next shipment of Tamiya's to Australia is Feb /March🤞😁. Gee sounds wet at your place Addam!, might have to get an rc boat or an air boat thingy lol. Hope your garage puddle doesn't get too much bigger, might end up stranded in the rc room.... Darn😂. We had over 3 months of rain last year and it now finally dried up. Bushfire season for us here. Plenty of water in the tanks and dam though.

Yeah I got lucky and found some that are not the everyday common ones recently I think this one is going to be a great one out on the track. The DT03 buggies do a good job and this has a bigger footprint of tire tread so I am hoping it gets around pretty quickly out there!

Thanks Bob! I don't quite understand why they put on-road tires on a stadium truck platform but it is what it is! The BB tires are prefect and what it should have come with, it would probably be much more popular if it did! I am very happy with the results and the little chrome accents really pop in person too!

Thank Mark! The dirt out the on the track is very fine and holds water really well. It was part of my dad's garden for many years and when it get wet, it stays wet and gets very muddy and slimy as you run over it so yeah cleaning the cars is a long and tedious process!! I can't stand to have a dirty, muddy car sitting there either, if it comes in side it needs to get cleaned up! me 20 years ago would have dropped it on the ground a few time to "knock off the big stuff" and brought it on in and left it. So many rusted screws and messed up hinge pins later and they need to be clean!

Thanks! Those on-road tires it comes with were not really going to be much use to me. Thankfully the Blitzer Beetle tires go on there perfectly! I think they will do very well out on the track as soon as it is not so sloppy wet!

LOL! Yeah, the camera thing is hard sometimes! I got the shocks built first and totally got wrapped up in the build and listening to good music that I got lost in it and had it done without ever picking up the phone to take another picture! I have done this on all 3 of the DT03 builds for some reason. I thought I could cheat it and re-use old pics since the chassis are al the same but I forgot to take any pics of those builds too! LOL! So I guess if you want an escape from the world for 3 or 4 hours get yourself a DT03 to build!! LOL! The weather here has been mess, it goes from freezing cold to shorts and t-shirt temps in a couple day and back again, the rains come and it stays cloudy for days so nothing dries out and then as soon as the sun peeks out the rain comes back to make everything even wetter! I am glad I have plenty of indoor stuff to do!!

@@rc-dom-uk That is why I went to the photo montage of the build. I tend to either build it all in one sitting or over the course of several evenings so it is hard to stay consistent when doing them like that so I just take pics in between steps (well I intend to!).

Thanks! Luckily the stickers hide some of the wonkiness of the paint. The gun metal in TS works super great, the PS version really is hard not have color variations in it and any little really draws your eye right to it!

Great video Addam. Fun fact, in th 90s I changed the tires the other way around. My Stadium Blitzer had these spiky ones out of the box and I wanted the tires and chrome rims of the gas powered truck (don't remember it's name TRsomething or so).😉

This thing looks pretty good to me Bud. Now see I think of this thing as more of a truggy mysef. But anyway. Love the body design on this thing and I agree with a little patience decals can be handled but I tell ya, they sure do test MY patience . lol Thanks for sharing and I totally understand not having a run video in that weather. lol

Thanks!! I guess technically it is a truggy since the chassis is a buggy base but most of the classic stadium trucks were buggy based too! The decals can be a nightmare but usually have decent luck with them! I will get it out when I can, I am just a little frustrated with it... I wanna go play but I also do not want to spend a ton of time cleaning them!!

Looks awesome Addam, knocked it out the park with the paint job 🤩 👍 and it has the tyres it should have had in the first place which really sets it off.. be interested to see a comparison between this and the blitzer beetle, as at some point this year want to do a stadium truck type build.. I have a neo fighter ( which I really like ) but the beetle chassis would be something new for me, but tbh I'd rather get a stadium truck shell for it so would be interesting to see which gives the most fun for your money.. the aqroshot with off road tyres seems the far cheaper option 🤔

Yeah, I didn't really understand the street tires on a stadiums truck but thankfully I had the Blitzer Beetle tires on hand to use! I need to put them on the bench side by side and see what the difference in wheelbase and track width is, I just got a couple lexan shells for the Blitzer and the Monster beetles and TBG sent me a free body so I have an extra on, if it will fit I may cut it out and put it on here for bashing around and do a special paint job on it or something. That is if it will fit. You are right if they are about the same size the Aqroshot is a cheaper one to get and performs really well. I will have to see when I head out there today!

Just saw Ryan’s build of this the other day @ RD’s rc reviews and it came out Fabulous! He said that you tipped him out on the last aquashot from the same seller you got yours from. That was awesome of you! If you ever hear of a good deal on another one could you tip me out too?😝 I think after seeing his all done, it’s become my favorite Tamiya. It is incredibly eye appealing a with the right motor and electronics it seams to be formidable enduro rally fun basher! Can’t wait to see what you do to yours Addam!

As Ryan mentioned we got them from Hub Hobby, it is currently out of stock but check back regularly. I saw the Tamiya USA got a shipment in (do not even think about buying from there, they overcharge!!) so I am hopeful more will be trickling in from Japan soon. I am going to run it stock first and then if if feels like it need more power I have the GT Tuned and a BZ Tuned motors sitting here to go in it to spice it up. I think for the small track the stock Torque Tuned motor will probably do well. We will see if it ever dries out any!

This is a great buggy, I have one with a few blue alloy bits on it. It's great to drive because the wide wheelbase makes it really stable. I'm itching to get it out for a blast but the weather here in Northern Ireland is rubbish!

The long and wide DT03 chassis is a fun one to drive and the truck body on top just added to the cool factor! Seems like the whole northern hemisphere is in a gloomy and yuck weather pattern. The temps here are going up and down like a heartbeat but the wet has been pretty constant! Hope it clears up and dries out a bit for the both of us!

I take it you got that involved with the build and didnt take the shots. I loved building my DT03 Neo Fighter. Would definitely get another with this chassis... On my Plasma Edge I made the 'thumbprint' mistake too... its amazing how it definitely stands out with the metallic paints

Yeah, I sat down and had everything laid out and started building and only took those first two pics as I built the shocks first. Once the shocks were built the idea of stopping to take a picture didn't even cross my mind!! I will be putting post-it tabs in the manual before building to make me remember to take pictures along the way. I plan on marking certain steps so I take a pic before starting that step!! If I don't I run the risk of getting all involved and forgetting all about it! I get so "in the zone" with the music playing and the build coming together I get lost in it! That paint reall highlighted any little thing with the paint so any tiny sag or anything showed up big time!! Thankfully there are some big stickers in the kit!!

I have to go out and record a "what's on the wall" video today for tomorrow's episode since I forgot to do one this week!! It is funny as once it was done and I went to put the video together I realized I didn't take but the two pics. I thought o'well I have built two other DT03 buggies, I can use those pics... nope... I forgot to take pics of those build as well!! I guess I really get into building these!!! LOL!! I am same way with running videos, I have to force myself to get the first run on video so I publish at least one of them as afterwards I rarely get the camera out when running them!

Yes! I like the them nice and clean! It is not one of the more popular kits and I think it is the the on-road tires that keeps it from being more popular... well that and it is not one of the classic kits! It just looks odd on the box seeing what looks like a stadium truck or a dessert racer and has giant radials on it! I think if they had pushed it with the off-road tires it may have gained a bit more popularity. I am stoked and I like the weird ones anyways!!

It is a slightly stretched stadium truck. I love it and have on the lookout for it for quite a while. I love the DT03 buggies so I know this should get around pretty well now that it has off-road tires on it! The whole on-road tires thing confuses me of why they chose those to be the stock tires for it!

It looks better in person or video than it does in the static images online. The off road tires from the Blitzer Beetle I think help it out a lot as well!! I am still confused why they went with the on-road tires for this, I feel like it is an odd choice.

Oh, I do love the old Aqroshot! It's such a cool buggy, I'm happy you got one, I am convinced you will like it a lot also when and if you ever get to drive it, if the damned weather ever gets better, ha ha! And I'm happy you went and just put other tyres right away, the original ones are terrible, they are actually useless. One thing I was wondering if you'd mention but you didn't was the two rear body clips. Did you figure a way to mount them so they're not crammed in there? Yeah the rear body clips are kind of goofy and they were kind of lazy with that part of the design! Mine are just as they come but id did grind just a small bit off of the body pins so they are not crammed in there against the body. It is the wonky part of the truck but I will live it as all their long body posts are going to have the hole going from left to right and I don't recall having seen any with front to back set up. I assume it is due to the mold machines being set up for that direction only. The ground here is still mush and we just got more rain so the track is still closed but it will got out there as soon as I can and not turn it into a muddy mess!

Nice job Addam. Smart looking truck and way better with the Blitzer Beetle tyres! Tamiya should of sold it with them l think it would of helped it be more popular as those on road tyres just look a bit small and odd!

Thanks James! Yeah, I didn't understand the on-road tires for an off-road truck but I am glad I had a set of the BB ones to go on there. It is perfect now and they would probably be more attractive to folks if they came with the off-road ones on it!

It is on the DT03 chassis like the Neo Fighter and the Racing Fighter buggies. It is a more modern design that came out in 2014 with the Neo Fighter. It is a really slick looking truck and the the Blitzer Beetle tires look really great on there.

Thank you! I am very happy with the results, it is a great looking truck! Some years are like this and terribly wet and never dry up and this seems to be one of those winters! I just have a pile of them I want to get out and run around but I don't want to be cleaning cars and trucks for two weeks!! LOL!!!

Thank you! I am very happy with the way it turned out! I am glad you could make use of the tip for the switch! You really have to get a bit creative with the switch location of the HobbyWing ESCs! You will need longer spindles for the front of the Neo Fighter to run the Blitzer Beetle wheels up front. They are the same as the ones that come on the mad bull and several other 2wd kits with the larger tires. I went to see if Tamiya had them in stock, they should but the site is down! Saw several on eBay for sale though.

LOL!! Sorry! It is a cool looking truck and it should perform really well being on the DT03 chassis which already does pretty good on buggy tires so the big shoes should make it go even better.

It is not a super common one but after i saw it I stuck it up pretty high on the "to get" list! I love my DT03 buggies so I knew I would like the overall ride of it and the truck body looks great on there!

I have not had a chance to run this one. I think this one is going to be a fun one on the track and perform a lot better but the Mad Bull may win out in the "just running around" category as it just goes where ever and it is just fun. I will know better once I get out with this one but I think they will both have their places, one for the track and one to bomb around in the yard all over with.

No, they are online as well. I live in Virginia. I was super impressed with how quick they shipped everything and is one I check often for some of the more out of the normal kits! I would go broke if they were in driving distance from me! I am thankful somedays my LHS mainly deals in basher stuff that I don't buy.... It saves me a lot of money!! LOL!!

Hi There, i am looking to get these wheels and tyres for my HPI jumpshot v2. 1/10. They are 12mm hex wheels fitment but 2.8" Would you be able to let me know if these would fit if i got them? I just love the look of slick wheels and tyres. If you could let me know if they would fit that would be much appreciated

So the rear wheels may work but the fronts do not have hexes, they are meant to have the bearing in the wheel. The rears have the 12mm hex in them. I am not sure if the back spacing would be too much or too little for what you are putting it on. The part number for the white wheels is 9335110, the orange ones is 9335134. The front tire part number is 50449 and rears are 50450. From what I have seen of the Jumpshot it would really push the foot print out really wide and it may look odd with these on it. The wheel on it have a bit of backspacing on them where these really don't have much. I am just going by photos online as I don't have a Jumpshot to see for sure. As for the tires going ton the jumpshot wheel I honestly cannot answer, sorry.
