Hands-down, not even in question, this my friend is the pinnacle of your work! Not just in the complexity of the build but because it shows that you were truly inspired! I know you had “cooled off” for a while which is understandable, we all burnt out. But this shows without a doubt that you got your fire back! It’s one thing to build a car paying homage to another car. But to do a build the creatively is out of left field and strictly based on your own passions is truly awesome! Bottom line, Cole Trickle and Harry Hogge would be proud!
That turned out fantastic! Top quality job as always! If you are interested in doing a King Hauler,, I always thought Snowman's black and gold Kenworth from "Smokey and the Bandit" would be a great build.
FANTASTIC!!!! 👌👏👏👏👏👏👏🍻 NOW you need to do the Superflo Truck! 😜😂 Seriously, looks great! I finished my first Truck Paint job.... Equally iconic, Snowman's Kenworth from "Smokey and the Bandit". Getting clear glass will be a challenge for that model. However, one or two 3mm LEDs shining down from under the Roof WILL illuminate through the Tint, and show off that Interior!! And Glenn..... Those MAN Rear Fenders sets the whole thing off beautifully! Carries the Theme to the rear.
Looks great to me Glenn, as I said before, who gives a toss what other people think, its all about how you feel about it. The Chevy badge could be for the car it hauls not the truck that pulls it. AFJ mate, Love It!!!
🎊🎉WOOHOOOOO! 23,000 SUBS! CONGRATULATIONS 🎉🎊 Absolutely incredible build. It looks gorgeous and another feather in your cap. I cant wait to see what truck you'll build next. Brilliant stuff!!😃👍👍
Thats the Bee's Knee's that is 👍🏻 Superb, do what makes you happy mate you're the one thats living with it. Well done on realising a vision. You're definitely gonna need a bigger display cabinet now 😉
I LOVE IT!!! WOW. Maybe the color isn't a perfect match and there's a slight paint error but I don't care. I LOVE IT. Absolutely stunning. Even the error looks good. WOW!! Hands down, my favorite Tamiya big rig of all time. Well done sir!!👍😊
I know you are a perfectionist but i kind of think that one lack of perfection in the paint makes the truck even more special, it gives it an extra personal history.
Glenn, there is another Brit on YT ,forget his name : ) and i will use his fav word "EPIC". That is epic. Well done on doing something different on a truck. This stands out hands down ,you should be proud of that.
Looks awesome, days of thunder one of my all time favourites. I built a king Kong 6x6, that was an amazing build and it really took it out of me. The rear bed is all wood with tiny scale bolts but quality kit. Great job love it!
Beautiful build my friend, I am building a Grand Hauler right now I have done a lot cutting and gluing to the cab too make it custom! This is my second semi and they are so much fun to build. The tow truck is in my pile to build one day!! Cheers my friend!
Very nicely done Glenn. Everyday I wish I could increase the Tamiya in my life. Thanks for reminding us that they are toys and we can do what we want / like with them.
Looking good Glen, I'm getting a Grand Hauler and building it in memory of my mam and my late father as it was the last thing we was planning on doing. Flysky 10 channel remote that come with a 6 channel receiver, GT Power make a light and sound kit that includes a vibration motor.
Awesome looking truck!!! Sorry about the small paint error you gotta deal with but without you mentioning it I probably would have missed it. I know the MFC is expensive but it will make a world of difference to the fun factor of the truck. I just got one and currently building it on my channel. The MFC is crazy cool! I got the Flysky I6 radio for mine and it is super affordable. Bob from Hobby Concepts channel has great videos on how to set it all up for use with the MFC so once you get one check out his videos as well. Be warned you'll also want to build other trucks like his too!!!! Great truck Glenn, great work by you as always!!!
the truck has turned out a absolute beaut. i'm glad to see someone else has used the same tyre decals as i have on my merc truck for me they look more in scale than them stupid huge ones that take up half the tyre and they are being sold on ebay i have gotta find some more of them tbh as a couple of mine have come away from the tyre. as for you putting on the rear fenders you may have clearance issues with the trailer the yellow looks more of a mellow yellow to me "lol" get some alloy wheels for that beaut and do you see ferrari team driving a ferrari truck or lotus or aston martin err no you do what you like its your rc and nobody else's as long as you like it thats all that matters. you also gotta keep a look out for a parma version of the car "shell" to go with the truck /trailer. if you deceide to instale the lights/mfu you will quickly wish you would have done that during the build
Great looking truck there mate. In the movie the yellow gradiant to green. But that's almost impossible to do with rattle cans. Anyway it still looks great outstanding job. Greets Dennis
Mate, that thing looks amazing. Well done. You know you have to put a trailer on that thing, really good job. I am quite jealous. I wish I could pull off something like that. I am definitely looking forward the mad max one. Keep up the good work
Regarding the sound module: I don't know how much an original Tamiya sound-kit costs, but there are some thundertiger ESS modules available in different sizes where one of them should easily be possible to mount into this awesome truck. Afaik they are under 100bucks, offer pretty good sound and are able to provide vast amounts of different motorsounds which are all downloadable from the internet and are uploadable to the module via USB cable. Might be worth checking out if it fits, as I know they are very good quality and should be much cheaper than the Tamiya ones. Friends of mine mounted some of these into their scale crawlers. And having 297 likes on the video and "zero" dislikes atm of writing this comment, should be telling if ppl enjoyed your video. 👍
Smashed it again Glen 👌, looks fantastic, those shots of it outside were stunning, great idea to do this truck days of thunder style, bet u can't stop going over for a look at it on display 😊✌🇬🇧
It’s looks great Glen.. I’m not going to pretend I know anything about these trucks….. but I can appreciate the work you have put into it.. I like it very interesting as it’s the first truck I’ve seen in this much detail.. well done sir👍👍👍
Looks amazing Glenn. I am seriously considering getting one, just for the build. Totally agree on the box art being unappealing so would need to do something different as well. Great vid, thanks for keeping us enthusiast's entertained.
Aaaahhh, that truck looks so great. I can imagine this truck with trailer with big side windows. And inside the trailer will be race car in those colors. That would be impressive.👍 As allways Glenn, you did a great job, I love it.
It does look awesome. A great tribute to Cole. 😀 Future plans for it sound good...... Can't wait to see your next truck build..... you'll be out demonstrating your 18 wheeler skills soon and reenacting Convoy in 1:14 scale with other Tamiya Truckers...... 😄😉
Hi, again again!! The tamiya "MFU"'s are the ESC, lighting controller and the sound kit all in one!! Plus it's got a vibration unit!!. The problem with them is to fit them you have to loose the interior!. Steve. UK.
Looks amazing, great work and very inspiring 👌 I love seeing custom shells done. It makes a nice change from the standard manufacturers designs. I was thinking of doing a Rothmans Audi Quattro.
Just finished the Mercedes gigaspace 4x6 and the MFC is definitely worth getting. The flysky 6i is a good affordable radio. Bob from hobbyconcepts on RU-vid has some great tutorials on the flysky.
