It is amazing to me how they took such a horrible ft suspension design, and made it such an integral part of the fun of this truck. I got the ampro ft suspension on one of mine with a 5 oil shock setup, and while the ampro handles much much better, the original is just much more fun to drive.

I used the shocks upgrade suggested from the manual. It really helps the Lunchbox perform, the Fox/NovaFox rear shocks work very well also! Great video.

Never really looked at the lunchbox the way you have described it and I suppose it is one of the best from a price, fun view point 👍 still love the blackfoot but the price is a bit much right now.. And so that's what that slapping noise is! I need the proper cva shocks for mine

Nice build! I sold my previous LB 2 years ago, regretted it (I no longer sell off any Tamiya kits lol) and I have one NIB waiting in the build queue. Will probably do a build video with it early next year. I'll be running modern electronics though. ;) 👊✌

We did the lunchbox in buildoff 2, we built like over 20 of them across the globe, it was one of the best buildoffs we had

Hiya, The Sport Tuned serves the Lunchbox almost perfectly, I hope you have got ball bearings, rather than the crappy plastic bushings you get with the kit, as it makes a huge difference in response and handling. Would you consider making a video on the Tamiya Sport Tuned motor?

Old school electric fun but they can runaway. On thing I was thinking was the straight to reverse can be done with the ESC. Use one that the brake can be turned down a little and use crawler mode instant reverse.

Fantastic Try the red or black o rings to damp the shocks 👍 this definitely is the best Tamiya truck by a mile and it pops wheelies...🤗 If I could only have 2 items in life it'd be the Avante and the lunchbox all a man could ever want

You still like the mechanical speed control opposed to the new one and can you purchase them and also what is the best upgrade motor for your normal Timaya cars such as the Blackfoot The Lunchbox the monster beetle

Thanks for the great vid. Looking at getting a lb as my first RC which can also be used by my 8 year old daughter. She is sold on the wheelie factor alone ;) Just got to convince the misses we need a £££ RC car in the house :) Would u recommend upgrading the shocks? I think I'll get some bearings for the build. New sub!

I've always wanted a lunchbox, but now I cannot make up my mind between LB, Clodbuster and Konghead. I know they all have their own charms, I just don't know what will keep me amused while I am not driving my drift car. I just want to kick up some leaves in the woods, and bounce over some logs.

Hey bud, hreat vids. Im looking at building a Re re but with as many original parts as i can. could you let me know what part the speed controller is so i can try and source the correct one :) iv just bought a Acoms techniplus with all radio gear inc as i had the same as a kid . thanks

Alright Tamiya. Lets find out if you're as smart as i hope you are. Ii just purchased the sealed bearing kit. Has 9 pieces. Eight the same size, and a smaller one. Four (4) of them fit the front wheels just fine. The rear wheels are a different story. Three is no way they will fit. The axle hole is just large enough to allow the axle to fit through. No room ay all for the bearing race. There's no cavity for it to fit into. There are 5 lugs that lock into 5 seats on the hub surrounding the sxle shaft. I can omit the bearings and everything is fine. The tire/wheel locks onto the matching hub on the trans assembly just fine. But, no room for a bearing.

Why do you blokes next door still use the two stick radios? Do you find them better than the wheel radios?

Hi Glenn. Think I've missed a step on my LB the wheels sit facing outwards on both sides despite servo being centered and arms set at correct lengths. Any ideas?.

Looks hard and the instructions are shite, I'm worried.
