Tamiya LunchBox RC Truck Part 3, Action time 🎥🍿🍿 

I begged for a Vanessa's Lunchbox (which was a lot of money back then).. now as a 40 yr old i can afford all the toys i want :-D

I bought the thing spontaneously, the assembly was a pleasure - and when I now drive the model I feel like I'm still 12 years old. Loveit so much! Brings back so much memories :)

That was my first RC truck from tamiya. 1988 wow time flies glad to see it still tearing up the ground and flipping and tumbling and getting ready for more. Tough little truck.

My absolute favorite rc as a kid. I saved my paper route money for a month to buy Vanessa's Lunch Box and another month to buy a Futaba radio and battery...

Nice video! Here in Finland is Lunch Box with Sport Tuned as well. Snow causes traction problems for 2WD car with relatively light back end. Especially packed or icy snow literally stop driving. But easy solution is just swapping Tamiya 54603 tires on. Stock wheels can be use because same size. These tires had studs between blocks, but i think very soft rubber is main reason for better traction. Car is totally different after this.

This looks perfect for rainy days, the esc looks like it won’t get wet with that body 👍🏻

My favorite freaking truck of all time great job

almost bought a lunchbox when i was a kid but got the orginal kyosho tracker instead, that was a good choice at the time but now im all grown up i just built the black edition lunch box for my garden and it is awesome fun, done some mods with random parts i have kicking around, 5th shock, front chassis brace and braced the wheelie bar so impacts hit 3 points of the gear box instead of been focused on 1. loving it, i could of had my hyper vse or triton out earlier but im like nah the lunchie is fun in garden and the nimh is always charged :D

Great video! I absolutely adore my lunchbox. Mine is the Re-release version though. I swapped out the standard 540 for a sport tuned one aswell and it runs great. Also bought one of those big plastic antenna to give it that vintage look. 😊

I put small spikes, 2mm x 8mm machine screws, thru the back tires for winter driving, it wheelies on the ice, very cool.

Thank you for a great video! I love my CW-01. If I was told to give all of my RCs and leave one, it would be this one. See my channel, there are a few recent short videos on my CW-01 Unimog. I put oil shocks, foams in tires and about 500g of lead in chassis for some realistic weight transfers. I also put sound system from ESS, for some diesel noise. And it still has stock silver can which is enough for me. I just love it.
