That chassis has a lot going on. It does look like a fun build.

Hi Joe, thank you for watching and leaving me a nice comment. This is such a different design philosophy from Tamiya, it’s such an involved chassis to build. Best wishes to you and the family. 😊😉😎

I know some folks hate building shocks but I kind of enjoy it. It can get messy but when they are done it is a key part of the build and makes things run so much nicer! As always a excellent walk through of it!

Hi Addam, I always enjoy reading your comments. I enjoy building the shock too, it must be getting all oily with silicone oil🤣😂🤣😂🤫so right about them being a crucial element of an RC car, I must admit I also get a bit OCD with the steering links too, I even have the wheels up again an engineers square to ensure that that are up straight, before putting a little 1° or so of caster…is that over the top ?🤔🧐might have to buy a camber setup gauge or something. I have this thing about not having to adjust the steering with the radio and that the car runs true mechanically…yeah…upon reading this back, I think I need to get out more 😂🤣😂best wishes to you and the family 👍🖐️😎

Thank goodness no ricocheting dreaded E-clips happened to shoot your eye out, and none got lost. That’s always a great start to a park of a build😂! ✅Shock tubes done! On to the next… awesome step by step my friend. You always do a fabulous tutorial! All the best to you and the family John!👊🏼😎✌🏼

Hi Robby, thank you for watching and leaving me such a kind comment. I’m always happy to read your comments. Oh yes, the dreaded ‘E’ clips, interestingly, age has a silver lining…as my eyes have aged and I now need glasses for close up work and reading and alike, the glasses may protect my eyes from any flying, offending ‘E’ clips 🤣😂🤣 if you want a really nice build project, I can recommend this CR-01 and I’ve got a wilder paint scheme in mind for the body, I hope you like it…best wishes to you and the family, take care all 😉😎🖐️👍

Hey John, shocks let's you dial how you want the vehicle to handle. I enjoy exploring how to get it to drive smoothly, handle jumps. Only so much you can do but one of the parts you can control. Great build and instructions

Hi Al, thank you for popping by, watching and commenting, I appreciate it my friend. I was going for a technical approach to filling the dampers. I got the idea when I was checking my car’s oil level 🧐thought I’d use the dip stick idea to see the level in all of the shocks to be at the same level, relative to the top of the piston shaft…well, that was the idea 🤣😎😉best wishes, hope you had a lovely Easter break with the family 😎

John it is I again lol. I'm not sure why but I've never been a fan of building shocks. Guess what I have to rebuild shocks soon lol. Build looks like it is coming along well getting very close now. Hope you and the family are doing well. Cheers mate.

Hi Kev, thank you for watching and leaving me a nice comment. So, what is it about building the shocks that you’re not a fan of? The CR-01 has been a really nice chassis, I’m surprised that as you and Bob are Clod owners, you’ve not got a CR-01 chassis each…I’m sure you’d both really like it. Hmmmmm🤔🧐maybe a future best buddies challenge 🤔🧐🤣 Best wishes to you and the family. 😊😉😎
