Unboxing the Tamiya Sand Scorcher Another model based on the VW Beetle Why is this kit special? Discussion around all the vehicles that Tamiya make How do you pick one? Also a special thanks to the RC who made this video possible
This one is on my wish list as well... but most of the Tamiya kits are honestly!! It should be a fun build for you, I have never done one with so many metal bits so I am looking forward to the build to see how you make out with it. That Elf is amazing and I am glad you were on the nice list this year and got some early gifts!!!
Another good job by the Elf!! I love the look of this kit and really nice to see you going through the box. “Good job I don’t have a metal cat!” What a great line 😂 Keep up the great content guys
Ooh hoorah for the Elf for getting you that. The Sand Scorcher would have been top of my list if I didn't already have one. It's the one I lusted after as a teenager but it was just too pricy. I did try dying a set of these wheels and the dye didn't take. In fact what happened was that the wheels lost their shape in the hot water and were ruined. The same dye had worked perfectly on the Holiday Buggy re-release wheels so must be different plastic. I'd recommended getting some Hornet back tyres for the winter months. Hope you enjoy the build once you do get round to this one. Nice unboxing my friend 😁
I’ve always worried that would happen when I looked at dying them. It’s a fantastic kit and so many extras, I am just trying to investigate what Hop ups are a good move and which are just a vanity project!
The RCL contact me they asked what four vehicles I would like in case there's a problem getting one of the other one of the SRB chassis was my choice but it was the one with the mono shock in the back.
Im currently waiting on some savings before building mine, Id like to first purchase the Sand Scorcher chassis from Ampro and build it together for SUPER SCALE! I look forward to Sand Scorcher content ❤️
@@RCsoandso i was looking at aluminum chassis also- i have a buggy champ i LOVE running but I dont as much because of fear of breaking it… hopefully I will be able to build a reliable and durable runner. Some very quick edit of you hand scratching your head and some bubble comic question marks above your head would be funny (camera from rear to still hod your face)
