You need to put a shelf at the back of the seats, and turn it into a sleeper cab, the model you are building looks like a European as in the uk we sit on the right side. And we drive on the left over in France/Germany etc they sit on the left and drive on the right. Great vids keep up the good work

thanks for reply. i can make you a frame for any wheelbase if you decide to build a suburban. frames are waterjet cut 12 gauge steel copies of scx10 with welded front and rear crossmembers and can easily be drilled and tapped for 3mm screws

Cab overs are way better in real life, so much easier to drive, and most usually look quite nice

Your better off with a Carson poison motor in it as it is more controllable and lots more torq for pulling

Great build, I enjoyed that. Ive just finished a hilux highlift 3speed and i have the exact problem, it wont go into 3rd, just grinds... sux after finishing a full on build and dosent work as it should. Did you solve yours?? Cheers mate. Hari:)

I just had to adjust the servo linkage a little. Can’t remember if it was too short or too long.

Hello, just bought a king hauler but I don't really know what kind of servos I need lol 😅 should I search for a shift servo or just servo? Please help!

+jorge alexander thanks for watching! For the shift servo my opinion is any basic servo will do. For steering on these trucks I reccomend using one that at least has metal gears. It doesn't have to be a serious duty rock crawler servo. Just something in the $30 to $40 range. In this build I used the rc4wd twister high torque servo which can be bought on.ebay for as low as $15.

love your vids brother. have a question. i am building a scale napco style 57 chevy 1/10 crawler pickup using narrow axles to get wheels/tires into the body more like the real truck and was thinking about using the tamiya semi tires cause they seem like they would look more realistic on a true scale rig. do you have an opinion. i do not have any of those tires on hand so i know nothing at all about them

+Don Thatcher HI! I have seen these tamiya semi tires used on lots of 1/10 trucks, mainly dually clod busters or F350. The only problem with the tamiya tires are they are extremely firm. But, I know exacltly the look you are talking about with the old napco conversions and there are some 1/14 scale tires that would work great. www.ebay.com/itm/JDModels-Road-Trucker-1-7-1-14-Semi-Truck-Tires-VVV-S0062-/161701810296?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368 Also, any of the Rc4wd semi tires will be a lot softer compound if they have a scale tread pattern you like. I no longer have any of the 1/14th scale trucks. They are fun to build but I do not have anywhere really to drive them.

Youll definitely want to paint it before you assemble it.

+KAYAK FISHING ZONE I believe tamiya offers it as a ready to run set with controller and all. Have to check online retailers and eBay for one. I know they are available like mine as a kit and you have to add your own electronics and radio equipment.

Cookie Chip1 This truck was running the stock tamiya motor that came with the kit. The esc was an old duratrax basic unit, dont remember what model. I got it with a truck I bought a long time ago.
