My Friend, outstanding video. Your green weathering techniques are great. I like how you used oils to perform many effects on the Sherman. Great work and I certainly hope to see more of your work soon. Kudos to you, my friend.

Wow, that sounds good! Of course, there is wide variation between Sherman versions but weathering distribution is very similar among them. Thanks for your comment

3:10, what do you use to dilute and mix the oil color?
@notjustpanzer
@notjustpanzer 5 месяцев назад
I use enamel thinner, it works well for diluting oils and enamels. Humbrol, ammo or ak thinners are good as well.

@@notjustpanzer Your work and presentation are outstanding. I am somewhat confused by your use of enamel thinner for oils. You applied a protective satin coat before the "dust" application and proceeded to use enamels and enamel thinner to produce the result. This was followed by your color variation application with oils, which you blended with enamel thinner (you do not apply a varnish on the dust coat...how did this not affect your dust coat?). You followed the filtering with a pin wash, again using oils thinned with enamel thinner (how did this not affect your variation application?). Even when I use Turpenoid or Gamsol to dilute my oils (much less aggressive than enamel thinner), and wait a few days, I can easily remove previously applied oil paints. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills in your videos!

@@orangelion03 Thanks for your words, I really appreciate that! About your question, that´s exactly it. I just protect the model using varnish after the airbrushing and decals stage. Later I just apply enamel and oil paints as I show and I never had paint removing issues (even working in the same day). Of course if oil or enamels are recently applied they will be easily removable but working softly and using small amounts of paint should solve the problem. Could you tell which paint brand do you use for weathering?
