Thank you! For clear parts, I use Revell Contacta Clear (39609 part number) For other parts, I use Tamiya extra thin cement Tamiya cement or Revell Contacta Profesional Mini. But with this one, you have to be very careful because they damage the paint and varnish. I use them, especially for gluing interior parts.
Very nice color, congratulations for the result! I was also looking at this model, but I have to finish what I'm already working on. I trashed a revell audi r8 kit (a mess of a kit, pure waste of time, I don't recommend it to anyone. Too bad for the model, the mold is terrible, none of the windows fit, and in the attempt to bend the windshield, it cracked and I gave up building the model). Once again, congratulations on your progress in scalemodelling, you make more and more beautiful kits - and I've been following you for some time :). good luck, keep them coming!
Hey! Thank you! We are online friends for more than 2 years now :)) This kit is wonderful with some minor fitting issues that you can resolve easily. By the way, also damage this kit with Gravity Paints and bought a new one for the body. The other one will become VW Beetle diorama in the near future :))
@@SmallScaleFun indeed, it's a wonderful kit, I think it was my third scalemodel built and the first one that came "in one piece" :) hehe. At this moment I'm working on a re-edit of my first model - Italeri Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing 1/24 and I put a tremendous pressure on myself to make a jewel out of it. At the moment of speaking, I think I might have bitten more than I can chew as I cut out the doors, bonnet and trunk lid in order to make them openable and now I have to make some reliable hinges and also cut the windows into separate parts (they come in as one part) so...yes, I have a deja-vu with them cracking. We'll see, only time will tell if I failed or I succeeded :). Maybe I should post a "part 1" of it, sort of "work in progress" episode. Wish me luck.
I just waiting to see your upgrades on Gullwing (I plan to buy the model in the future). Also, I think GTI from Revell will be great candidate for those modification that you're making on Mercedes :)@@orlandofarcas5610
Belo modelo, mas no carro real, os limpadores de parabrisa do modelo alemão de 1966, descansam do lado esquerdo... Descansavam do outro lado, até 1964.
First time I used it like this - gray primer 1200 from Mr Hobby and sprayed the color - Volkswagen Sea Blue GC-1466 from Gravity Colors. Unfortunately, the Sea Blue Color from Gravity damages the body's plastic. Second time: I bought a new kit and used the same color but with - 1 layer of black primer (Mr Hobby), 2 layers of gray primer - and 6 layers of color at 8-15 minutes between layers - 2 clear coats (varnish from Mr Hobby) The color is airbrush-ready and they recommend dark primer as a base. :)
I used the VW "Sea Blue" (GC 1466) color from Gravity Paints for this model. Is airbrush ready and needs to be sprayed on dark primer. But this is a second kit because on the first one, this "Sea Blue" color damaged the plastic body so be careful if you intend to use the color :)
Hey! Thank you! To remove the chrome paint I use a solution with which I clean the oven of grease and contains: Aqua, Sodium Hydroxide, Isopropyl Alcohol, and Sodium Laureth Sulfate. It is cheap, like 2.5$ for 400 ml.
Jak masz tak partaczyć, nie dotykaj modeli, bo ich dla Ciebie szkoda. Rób porządnie, albo wcale. Nie znasz pędzla wymiar 5/0 ? Musiałeś mazać wykałaczką?
@@SmallScaleFun I just started in scale model. Last time I did that, it was in the 70’ when I was just in early teen. I did few semi because at that time, I wanted to be a truck driver. The difference is that there were no airbrush. I have two cars. 1968 Mustang Shelby GT 500 and the 1970 Challenger. I find it complicated with different Colors for many small parts. I need lot of practice with the tiny brushes because can’t airbrush all.
The chrome window frames do not look very tidy, they are rather uneven. And this dark blue-grey color is not very nice too. Moreover dust particles and fluff is visible in several spots. Next time better......
