I grew up in nuccio back in the day it use to be Bad but they have cleaned it up very well. Love my hood and my city for life

I'm from MN and I lived at Puritan Place for a summer a few years back and absolutely loved it. Wasn't the worst area, had a shooting across the street and my car broken into in the time I was there but besides that a lot of friendly people. Just mind your damn business and you'll be all good. Definitely miss it and wouldn't mind coming back at all!

I ♥️QUICKIE MARTS! Quickie marts are American as apple pie. I just love the fellowship and camaraderie surrounding all the quickie marts. Great place to meet people too!

I grew up in the fish bowl in the 60's and 70's ...dolphin and pompano..loved that neighborood! And Nuccio park was a wonderful place at that time!

Definitely not the most dangerous area in Tampa. It’s pretty bad but it’s not the MOST dangerous. West Tampa had that title in the 90s and nowadays it’s East Tampa. Most dangerous hood is probably gonna be around Busch Gardens funnily enough.

The area looks clean. You have homeowners. It’s not bad. Just because there is a majority of Black ppl doesn’t equate to bad.

The sanitation dept. Needs to step up the clean up efforts in the county, not just the city! Why not get inmate labor and pay them?? And buy some payloaders and street sweepers and clean the place up. Lawn mowers and weedwackers would be good, or contract it out!!

Where are you all from? Can you show us your "hood" ? The sad thing is that housing prices and rent are extremely high here in central FL and everywhere in FL. Have you done any research on SW FL, Cape Coral, Port Charlotte, Ft Myers, West Orlando, NE FL outside of Jacksonville? I'm sure that you haven't been down Calle Ocho lately? Or Perhaps Le Juene Blvd? Drive around West Kendall and Homestead and provide us your comments. Thanks.

I was raised in Smugs (the front not the back. Iykyk lol) now called Crowne Pointe apartments. Before that we lived in Centennial Place apartments now called River Pointe. The longtime home owners live in The Fish Bowl. The Nuccio Recreation Center, that I went to every year while at Robles elementary, confirms this neighborhoods official name is NUCCIO. This place is really not bad. But I know you have to exaggerate the title.

My licence was permantly revolked when i was 16 for getting behind in Chile suport . And Tampa is the worst city to live in with no license . No one will give you a job . Bus system sucks so bad it takes 4 hours to get anywhere on a bus . And if you become homeless there's no help at all no soup kitchen no food pantries and you have to make $75'000 a year to be eligable for food stamps. Cops are only out to steel you money .

This neighborhood is definitely one of the worst. Looks can be deceiving. I’m from Nuccio, now work in the neighborhood. The two convenient Stores in the video tend to see a lot of action. We just had a drive by shooting/murder earlier this year (2023). That 2kexpress store has security standing outside throughout the day. That plaza was just rebuilt not too long ago because it was set on fire. There’s chop shops in the neighborhood + gangs of course. One of the businesses on that street (50th) employees have been mugged and then another was “S.A.” Of course there’s a lot fights etc. most incidences don’t make the news. The whole area has been cleaned up as in curb appeal. Still gang territory sadly. Those ‘nice’ apartments have one of those parking lot police trailers that video/audio record 24/7. IMO I’d rate it 8/10 on the dangerous meter. Definitely a type of neighborhood that’s a FA&FO- I wouldnt mess around in there and I live in the #1 rated worst hood, Grant Park if that tells ya anything. For the most part if you’re not involved in any illegal activities you’re good. If you have no affiliations with the Gang in Grant park & go into Nuccio, you’re good. These two neighborhoods are at war at the moment. The police are always slow to respond to anything in these areas. It’s sad because you have a lot of good folks in there that’s just trying to live. Good videos btw, I enjoy seeing someone else’s POV who isnt too familiar with the areas. Please keep making the videos!

I used to live on Sligh and 50th in those apartments 2013. It got pretty bad at night. There were a few riots, shootings, etc.

Tampa hoods aint too bad at all...lived there when i first moved there...never really worried about anything...maybe som theft...but i didnt feel unsafe at any point

Tampa bay is so bland and overall just meh… pinellas is better but overall just dumpy…. Little palm trees and no real Florida feel. Everything just feels fake there.
