YOOO thanks for the reception on this vid!! However, I’d like to let yall know that I am mainly an art channel, this was just a video I decided to make out of the blue bc I love tang aha. So don’t expect any other vids like this lol but I hope yall enjoyed it
I do find it funny that Tang has a lot of traversal and teleporting powers and is ping ponging across all of China, while it took like YEARS for his past life to travel across China.
@@secretasianman108 That’s… KINDA book accurate actually. In a metaphorical way sort of. Like… spoilers for a 500 year old book but after Tang Sanzang finally reached the Thunderclap Monastery and fetched the scriptures to be brought back to the East, he made the return trip back to the East in just eight days. Because of course, it’s the journey to enlightenment that is the hard part.
Funnily enough, this was referenced in season 5 with MK in episode 10 and Mr.Tang's end monologue: It's not about the destination,it's about the journey.(Like,if you're wondering why the journey is a thing at all when Wukong can just cloud somersault his way up to Nüwa's temple & to Thunderclap monastery several times, this is the answer) I was like,"He said the thing! Just like Wukong saying "Believe in yourself and you can do anything",directly taken from the book!"
Quick fact, The scene where Tang screams at the woman and baby ( 4:40 ) is HILARIOUS in the journey of the West, its a reference to a stream that Tang and Pigsy drank from that turned them PREGNANT, no lie, our boy left for all the right reasons.
The Great Monk was also the closest to getting wed there. Don't know, if the local Scorpion Queen tried to r**e Tripitaka here, but still. Tang Sanzang was traumatised by the Women's Kingdom so much, that his trauma went even to his reincarnations.
For anyone wondering why he panicked at 4:40, there's a funny story there. See, in Journey to the West, there's a nation of only women, and they have children by drinking the water of a magical river. If a man drinks the water, however, they'll be... lets just say trying to pass something the size of a melon through something as narrow as a drinking straw and leave it at that.
@@UniqueNewYork27 the "one-arm-hidden-pointing-at-camera" way of pointing and standing is literally Jotaro's most iconic pose even Clint Eastwood(character's inspiration) once did. Especially when performed by a muscular character
@@mfirdanhb It wasn't a budget cut, it was a sort of last minute studio switch, so the animation is pretty rushed. Hopefully as they'll get more time and practice, they'll give us better work next season!
