@@ranjanbehera-d3j I did read it properly. According to Google the Vivo Y56 Mobile has NFC. If it DOESN’T. Then no. Tangem will NOT work with it. - Alex
Hi I sent injective to my Tangem cold wallet but think I sent on the wrong network is there anyway to recover it ? Tangem aren’t really helping ! Any help would be great
Looks interesting but... 1. Having it's hardware firmware not be open source is disappointing (I can understand this for a while until they get established, but they need to open source over time). 2. The card is the security key. This means if someone get's hold of it then you are screwed. But...this is no different to the other hardware wallets because you should squirrel away your seed phrase somewhere, so finding your seed phrase vs finding the card (and getting access by using the pin) is fairly similar I guess, although hiding your seed phrase would be more stealth than hiding a backup card. However, things like Ledger and Trezor are slow to adopt crypto coins because they have to write code to interface with the hardware, the Tangem just pushes everything in the app, which means far quicker adoption of new crypto coins. I am not convinced this is the wallet for long term storage of crypto but I think it's cheap enough to be given as a gift to people.
1. Tangem’s firmwsre has been audited by two third-party firms (with a third audit on the way) 2. As long as you choose the seed phrase option during the setup, it’s the same as storing any other wallet/seed phrase combo. 3. True, Tangem seems to do well implementing what users want. For me Tangem is fine for long term storage. The import thing is the seed phrase. As long as you have that, you will always be able to access your crypto (even if your wallet takes a crap). - Alex
ledger nor tangen are long term 50-100 year. We are all still waiting for that tech. I'm curious what the people who bought bitcoin in 2012 if they are still using whatever wallet technology they had back then? I feel, crypto you have to be activly use it to stay up to date. I'm sure that if you bought crypto in 2012, and you forgot about it and came back in 2024, there's no way to retrieve your coins unless you haver incredible memory of your 12 words after not using it for 12 years.
@@gary7181 People back then just created their own. The physical half of these wallets is not necessary, just makes it easier for less tech savy people.
First week or so great chat support… Now I haven’t heard from them for close to a week. I have arb on the wallet. I need to move it out of there however it’s not allowing me because I don’t have enough Ethereum, but the Ethereum address that they’re telling me to share has plenty of Ethereum But not showing in that location however, it’s the same exact address as Ethereum, which I have some in the Tangem wallet how do I fix this? This is a nightmare and Tangem is a piece of garbage when it comes to support
I just received mine. My advice: buy it in black, don't buy the white limited edition. It looks cheap, super disappointed with the white color... as most NFC cards are usually white too... that's my only regret for now, I'll need more time to give a review, but the setup is super easy, and the app is quite easy to use, I like it

Only thing I hate about any wallet is that you must buy ethereum. And ethereum is expensive and slow and fees are always high. Definitely can’t wait until people realize that there’s better alts. Eth needs to die tbh
Why do you have to buy ETH? You mean to interact with other tokens on ethereum? That’s not a wallet issue. That’s how blockchains work. You must use the network’s native coin to pay for transactions.
I've bought the Tangem 3 wallet. The only reason ive not taken it out of the box as of yet is the fact its made in China....i just cant seem to trust anything made in China when it comes to security...and generating the seed phrase means running the risk of exposing the seed if undetected malware is on the devise
Well yeah, the chip is made by Samsung.. There’s NO data to prove that a wallet made in China is unsafe. Tangem has been audited by two non-Chinese companies as well.
@@cyberscrilla Its good it's been independently audited but there's always a possibility they could be manipulated or altered on the chinese production line. Slim chance possibly but possible.
The best place to store & also stake your ICP is on chain within The NNS. Its also a good way to learn about true web 3/blockchain platforms & explore them.
I like tension a lot but when I tried to send Bitcoin it wanted to charge me $110 and the network was not even busy and my other wallets I could send Bitcoin for less than $10 that's the only problem I have with tangent and I had to move to another wallet because of it for the most part. Plus I get an error message every time I try to do the swap
I've been using Ledger devices since the 'S' first came out, but like many, I'm feeling a little concerned these days so finally decided to make a change. Just ordered a Tangem (3) Pack using your affiliate code. Thanks.
I like the idea of Tangem and you can see how great UX could be but: - No Solana support besides sending/receiving within the app - You can add custom tokens but u can't select them when swapping in the app directly - If someone finds two cards they can bypass the pin/password of the card and u can't turn this off - They mention a lot that they are "Swiss-based" but according to their own linked in profiles just the CEO has its location in Switzerland and the cards are not produced there. So thats bit ... well ... strange.
Hi Alex. I dont know if my sim was sim swapped or if it has been cloned. Or if my phone has malware. Or maybe im just paranoid. Do i need to buy a new phone? Or is it just okay to just use tangem without the seedphrase option. Even if my sim is cloned or swapped. Or even if my phone has malware? There is no chance hackers can access my tangem right? I just need assurance. Thank you
If your phone was sim swapped you’d know, because you wouldn’t have service. You CAN use Tangem without a seed phrase. I prefer to use a seed phrase. Unless your seed phrase is actively displayed on your phone (only during setup) malware can’t extract it as it’s not stored on your phone or app
I would. like to see a "customizable" exterior on the card. Make it look like a hotel card or bank card or club card etc. Stealth!!!! Or just whatever exterior you upload to their site. Pay extra, ok.
Hi there, Hope you are doing great! Can you please make a video on how to add hardware wallet addresses into a software wallet like Okx Or Metamask for watch only wallet purpose. Is it safe to paste/add our public key into a software wallet for monitoring the assets? I have a keystone 3 pro wallet and I would like to monitor my assets with this method. Pls reply 🙏
You can’t “add” your hardware wallet address into a hot wallet. You have to connect your hardware wallet to the hot wallet (this doesn’t compromise security since the private key remains on the device) But it will allow you to view you hardware wallet in the hot wallet. To do this in metamask for example just tap your public address, tap add account or hardware wallet, then follow the steps to connect your hardware wallet.
I did try to swap from BUSD to USDC (Bsc) but authorising the spend with 1inch just seem to freeze and didn't have the option to actually swap. On checking the blockchain the authorisation was successful and charged the BNB fee but unable to continue to the actual swap in the Tangem app. Probably just initial issues.
Think I posted in the wrong area the first time, sorry if this shows up twice. Anyways I think 2 features Tangem should work on implementing, which is present in all other cold wallets(I think), is the ability to view and manage UTXO's, and change addresses. 2 seemingly basic features found in all other cold storage solutions.
Hey @Cyberscrilla i have a question, so I seen your videos on needing a burner wallet, so right now I have 2 cold wallets, the trezor and a ledger, lately what Ive been doing is connecting my ledger to dexs like pancakeswap and storing it in my rabby wallet, so i would consider that my burner wallet ?? My other question is, if i am connecting my ledger to a hot wallet like rabby, is that still susceptible to a phishing attack even though it is being stored in my ledger ? thanks!
CS, I have a question. I know you can migrate other wallets onto your Tangent Wallet by way of your seed phrase. My question is, does this increase, in any way, the security of that other wallet which is added to your Tangem collection of wallets? If so, How?
NO this does not increase security. In fact, you should never import a hot wallet seed phrase into a cold wallet like Tangem as this defeats the purpose of cold storage. However, importing a cold wallet seed phrase into another cold wallet is fine.
Information video. Thank you! Just ordered the wallet using your discount so thank you for that. Switching from Ledger to Tangem. When I placed my order it gave me the whote card. There is no difference in that or is there? Thank you again.
Hey, I was wondering if tangem at some point said will introduce solona staking or staking in general if they said anything of it. I don't trust ledger anymore
I ordered tangem and used your code. I love how simple it is and also great for mass adoption. Im now recommending it to my family, cause of how simple the setup is unlike other brands where it is harder to setup. Thank you again for the informative vids👍

@@40yeartrucker25mmmm. What do you mean exactly? You can already do that. Multiple addresses simply means you can generate multiple public (receiving) addresses for a specific coin in your wallet
Any centralized crypto exchanges will let you directly transfer to an external wallet. UK has Kraken, Binance, Coinbase, MexC, and a ton more. All of which you can transfer crypto externally
@cyberscrilla oh ok? We are looking forward to it. Also, if you have direct contact with someone in Tangem, plz ask them to consider paying people out a certain percentage on the coins we hold on the wallet. Like if we have $10 000 of a certain asset, to pay like 7% APY. This is just an example 🙏
@@cyberscrilla it is a suggestion, seeing that certain exchanges do that and the purpose of a wallet is to take funds of exchanges, also if we hold money in a bank they do the same. All these will promote people to use the Tangem wallet.
I've been using tantrum for a couple of months now and I really like it The only thing I can tell you that I really dislike is that not unlike many other wallets everything is fueled by aetherium with the exception of a couple of coins everything is fueled by aetherium so you constantly have to be putting more ethereum in your account to use the wallet in other words they won't just deduct the fees and whatever currency it is you're swapping or transacting and they actually make you buy more ethereum and also you can't buy spot Bitcoin with their swap so that's kind of annoying as well
The tangent swap is good however you need etherium to fuel everything in tangem wallet so that's extremely annoying that they will not deduct the fees in whatever currency it is you're swapping
@@cyberscrilla Not totally true, Chainge uses its own token to do any crosschain/swap operation. And Toadswap DApp allows to swap any ERC20 token with the token you want to swap as gas fees
I was also thinking that Tangram should come out with some small device like an Apple tag with no battery of course, that could be easily stored secretly hidden for long-term.
Hi mate, can you tell me if the access code goes automatically to the backup cards? I don't remember when I set it up, I changed my access code on 1 card, I wanted to know if I need to do something on the others. Thanks
@@cyberscrilla But during configuration do we have to put the access code on all cards? Or is it automatic when you put it in one and make a backup in the others it is already sent? I don't remember to be honest

@@cyberscrilla It might be something to do with derace.. Becuz the prices always functions around with that 1.. Can you look into that for me and see what you think
Hey Scrilla - the swap feature on Tangem, fee wise is is similar/better than lets say moving out to an exchange, then converting/selling and buying another token and then sending back to Tangem ? Thanks
Uhm it just depends on the token you’re exchanging and how busy the blockchain is at the time of the swap. You can test both without actually going through with the transaction
Easiest wallet to use for sure but far from the most secure. At the beginning you keep calling it a cold storage wallet and it’s not. Cold storage wallets never connect to the internet. Tangem is constantly connected to the internet since it’s an app on your phone. That’s what makes it vulnerable.
Not quite Gary. The Tangem cards (the hardware) never connect to the internet. You’re correct in saying the app does. But this is true for any wallet. For example, Trezor wallets do not connect to the internet, but the Trezor Suite app does. The app only acts as an interface to initiate transactions and manage funds. It does not store any keys that could lead to your wallet being compromised. And all transactions must be approved using the cards. The important thing and what makes Tangem and other wallets “cold” is that the private key is stored offline in a secure environment. So to be clear, Tangem is a cold wallet.
@@cyberscrilla I’m not an expert but in my reading and learning over the last few years I’ve been led to believe that wallets like Tangem, Ledger, and Trezor are “hardware” wallets because they do connect to the internet to do transactions. Actual “cold storage” wallets like the Blockstream Jade and Keystone Pro are considered so because they never have to connect to the internet to do transactions.
Your belief is incorrect. It can be confusing I know. None of the wallets you mentioned connect to the internet directly. Thus they are all cold wallets. But even Keystone and Blockstream interact with internet connected apps to manage your crypto. There’s no way around this. Again Cold wallet = A cryptocurrency wallet that stores private keys offline. Hot wallet = A cryptocurrency wallet connected to the internet that stores private keys online.
@@cyberscrilla Ledger and Trezor have to connect through either Bluetooth or USB so that does create a direct connection to the Internet. Or at least a connection to an Internet connected device. Keystone and Blockstream can do everything through QR codes so they never have to have any connection to anything. Isn’t that what truly makes them “cold” as opposed to the “hardware” ones. And “hot” wallets being ones like MetaMask, Trust, Exodus, etc.
No. A hardware wallet is the same thing as a cold wallet. What you’re referring to is an air-gapped device, which is a type of hardware wallet. Connecting a hardware wallet to your computer via USB or Bluetooth is not a direct connection to the internet. It’s a way to transfer data between devices. Scanning a QR does the same thing. And to be clear air-gapped wallets have been proven to not be any more secure than a non air-gapped wallet. Hardware wallet (cold wallet) = private key stored offline on a dedicated storage device. Hot wallet = software that stores your private key on an internet connected device (phone or computer app).
Helio, I have couple questions: 1) Do I need to update my wallet in orders to see any of the new features or they being added automatically ? 2) Is Tangem card going to work like the Visa debit card ? Greetings from Warsaw Poland
You can’t/don’t need to update the wallet. The only thing you need to update it the Tangem app. And no, the Tangem debit card (Tangem Pay) will be a separate product released later. - Alex
