Tangerine Dream killed it last night at The Magnolia. Especially when the great Steve Roach took the stage. I will be uploading my own songs from my ambient project in the coming months please subscribe if you’d like to hear them.
Wow wow WOW!! Truly the meeting of legends! The great American ambient visionary Steve Roach joining forces with the German electronic dynasty Tangerine Dream! I was at the Miami concert but really wish I could have gone to Arizona for Steve.
Wow thank you for posting this. Big fan of Steve Roach's many ambient projects since the 80's and Tangerine Dream was 1 of my earliest forays into electronic landscapes since I discovered them in the 70's. Perfect for my rainy day!
I was at the concert in Tucson the night before. It was one for the ages. So glad you recorded this one. These guys play so well together. I hope they do it again.
Was at the show, and this encore was the high point. When the glitch happened it was cool until it kept going for a LONG time. I figured it was the choice of the younger chap on the right -- who also did the vocal samples, I think. But it may indeed have been unintentional.
Thorsten seems to have fallen in love with cranking the feedback up on a delay unit to get that sound. He does the vocal sample stuff also. @@dhalgrentv7157
Thorsten is running a sample of the director Werner Herzog through a program called Scatterbrain Audio Splitter for the glitching effect, it also pulls the words onto a beat
