I just bought a new TX6. Set it up, worked fine. Used remote to power off and now it won’t come back on. Tried unplugging everything but no lights no display nothing at all. There is a reset pinhole I would assume but it came preinstalled with some software and I’d like to keep those if possible. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks Mike. Just wanted to ask if there are settings to stop buffering and lag when streaming content. I have a 20mbps fibre connection and my TX3 mini has 1GB available RAM (1GB in use), but it still stops and starts quite badly. Any ideas? Do you think a factory reboot and reinstall would be an option?

worth a try, heat might be an issue, and also this is a quite low power box so sometimes it will struggle at higher resolutions

you mean it doesn't do a factory reset? if it boots up normally use the factory reset option in the menu

Hello Mike ! Wonder can y help me ? Mine tv box cant even to reset.... it is x96 max . One day the blue screen on front of the box just stoped to glow and from that moment i cant torn on it ! was trying to reset it but it wont do it ! Is it completly dead ? The optical port is the same as the headphones jack. If you look inside it there is a red light. How this helps you?

not sure why it would do that unless the internal drive is failing, you might be able to recover it using the USB repair firmware method mentioned in the video description

I have an ABOX 1A plus that I picked up at a yard sale and it was working fine until just the other day when if would start up as usual but then sticks and cannot move to anything to open any apps. it does have a button on the bottom but I tried this trick and still the same. Should I give it up?

I can get to the bios menu. But there is no way to navigate. I don't have a remote control I only have USB keyboard and mouse. They are plugged in but nothing. No cursor or anything. Do they need to remain plugged in the whole time or should you plug them in after resetting?

Hello Mike. Thanks for the video. I tried installing rom atvxperience and i am stuck on a boot screen. I want to revert to stock rom. I have the rom but can't enter recovery. The screen on the box says "boot". How long do i need to keep pressing the reset button? Any help will be appreciated!

Thanks for you reply. It was not stuck on boot after all! I had the box connected to my 4k tv and it wasn't showing anything. I decided taking it to another tv and to my surprise it was displaying the setup screen. Crazy! All is fine now. 😊

tx3 is not supported for HD on netflix, the web version should work though

Mike. Nice video mate. Is there a software remote control available for the Tx3 mini which can control the device over WiFi. I am unable to find a compatible android app or software. Also RU-vid doesn't work on my Tx3 mini, giving an error "This operation is not allowed" whenever I start RU-vid. Are you familiar with this error and any fixes for this ? Thanks.

i have a mxq android box and as soon as i give power to the unit it flashes red and blue and thats all that it does. Any hints ? thanks

thanks for the video. i did that 'factory reset' and then my box boots into a startup video, then splash screen and then... just black screen. any thoughts?

You might need to perform the USB firmware replacement I showed in the other video. Worked for me when mine went really bad

Hello Mike. I have a Tanix TX6 box with a strange problem, I wonder if you've com across before. It works well on starting. The menu screen is fine with full width picture. As soon as I go to ANY app, there is a greyish bar down the right hand side. It is actually blanking off that part of the picture (picture not shifted etc.). Have you seen this before? Will rebooting back to factory reset cure this? Thanks Brian (Thailand).

sounds maybe like an overheating problem? can you aim a cooling fan at it and try it?

@@mikesunboxing thanks Mike. I think not because it's there the moment I switch on. I called the people from the app I use for UK TV streaming and they offered to fix it for free if I sent the box to them. It came back next day fine. Then same again a few months later. That time it reverted after a few days. The guys at TeatimeTV seem reluctant to tell me what they do. Could it be the Android version?
