I think we have answered you earlier but here it will help our other viewers too- Mostly dip pipe is used where we are dealing with addition of hazardous chemicals in reactor to avoid hazardous vapour release or if we want good mixing ( Sometimes recirculation lines also dipped in for better mixing) Thanks for showing interest. For highly flammable solvent like petroleum. We can store it above the ground and below the ground as well but you take additional safety measurements.

In nozzle sizing criteria foe vapor the value is 45000 or 4500, because written is 4500 but told 45000

Code is a set of rules generally accepted guidelines that are recommended for industry to follow. Standards are more elaborate way of how to follow a code. Codes tells you What to do, Standards tell you How to do it.

Good question dear. Try keep the orientation of vessel vertical if any special requirements like high volume, vapor pressure then only go for horizontal orientation.

HHLL, LLLL will not change as you are keeping it directly 300 mm no matter whatever holdup volume, length diameter you increase but for HLL and LLL if your governing case is operator action time then you have to revisit these values as your parameters change Hope we understood your question correctly and given satisfactory answer If you need any further information get back to us. Yes, your working volume and LLL, HLL will increase while round up. But once you roundup revisit LLL and HLL because that will be your dead volume if you get it into your working volume it will increase your holdup time Hope this will help you.

Sir HHLL and TTL seems to be matching .... Between HHLL and TTL there should be again 300 mm Gap? Then where should be Overflow nozzle ?

BTL to LL is wrong or not calculated properly. 0.74 + 0.15 is 0.89 not 1 m. I think 1 m you got is from 0.74 + 0.30
