I hope this gives you all the information you need to create Tank Controls that work for your game 🧟♂ Would you like to see me tutorialise something in particular? So far these tutorials have been great. The best I've seen for retro horror in UE5. Although i do have a few requests. Inventory System Quick Turn, with an explanation of how to hold down and the left face button to do it. And lastly, shooting with old school auto-aim. I'm looking forward to what's next regardless.
Your tutorials are comprehensive, yet straightforward and easy to follow. Congratulations and thank you for the effort. By the way, your positive attitude is great and contagious.
Wild. Ive technically been subbed/watching for 4 years cus you were the first person i watched before i went to uni for game design. keep up the amazing vids gang
@@THExRISER hey! thank you I will be back at some point, just dealing with some health issues. And yeah I have been dabbling with a few games (having a hard time finishing any of them though lol 😭). Working on some pixel 2d ones at the moment and started to look into unreal since blueprints looks user friendly.
@@AdamBarkerThe Oh, sorry to hear, I hope you get better. I'm working on my first game myself so I'm still an amateur, but I know a bit about blueprints. I just Tweeted at you, so you're welcome to hit me up if you ever get stuck on anything.
Another great tutorial! Thanks for the written version too. Looking forward to following along with them both. Especially curious about the blendspace system.
Took me a few months to check this vid out since you alerted me to it's presence as my pc died, but dam son, my prayers have been answered haha, that turn in place animation worked so flawlessly, and it was easy to do as well xD Thank you for making this video for us~
@yagmanx you've been a great help! If I manage to complete what I'm making, I'll have an easteregg of you in the game . For now, I am happy to see the 3d abominations I create hunting down the BP_Player 😅
It’s everything I need to make tank controls with the sprint and such, but my tank control game moves the camera when a character turns left and right instead of being fixed.
Hi There! Really love your videos! I was wondering, is there any video of yours in which you explain how to import a custom map, set collisions etc? I am struggling with that and it would be reeeaaaally helpful!
Hi Yagman! Cheers for this, made the turn in place more seamless than checking a bool within the character blueprint! I do have a request for a tutorial If I may ask, as I haven't been able to get it working how I want it to; Which is a Look at function. Where the character's head would turn to look at an item/enemy when it enters their vision. Like in Silent Hill 2 and 3.
Yagmanx thanks for the content! theres still one tutorial I miss that Im really looking for: I want a tutorial creating anything from a total blank project in UE, starting adding floor, sky, objects and etc... I came from Java2D and OpenGL so Im used to start with a really nice black screen
You are very welcome 😊 oh I see! Its actually so simple with Unreal as the template projects come with a skybox and lighting straight out of the box but I could look into this for sure :) best of luck with your projects!
Now, I need to figure out a better way to do high mid low aiming because what I came up with is janky.. if you can do a video on that, it would be awesome.
Heyo! could you show us how you actually import blender models to unreal properly? and make models not glitch when overlapped? I've been struggling with it, I've seen other RU-vidrs do it but those never actually worked for me 😢
Im going to change my character so that I can toggle between third person with normal controls and cinematic mode with tank controls. Hope I dont screw it up :D
Nice Tutorial i love it. But when Rotating on a spot for like 2-3 seconds the Character freezes in its Animation. why is that ? (shes gliding on the ground after a short amout of time)
