I’m having a blast tanking on my warrior. It’s so aggressive. It did take some getting used to though. But when you get the hang of it you can pretty much speedrun 5 man heroic dungeons. So much mobility.
Very well put video, on point dude! One point to add is that prot warr & bear are weaker than Dk tanks and prot pallies defense wise for one main reason, which is that they're missing defences against magic which dks and prot pallies have.
I picked a warrior tank as my first wotlk char on Lorderon server. Do i have to say, that it was total disaster? I guess on normal servers warrior could work, but on buffed lorderon it was the most paper tank you can have

Awesome video Gnev, can I ask you a question though, if I would like to start on Warmane tommorow on what server should I play can you please tell me? i would like to have some fun and do PvP and PvE but i do not know what server to chose: I heard Icecrown has been fully cleared Ruby sanctum and the say the server is kind of "pay to win", Frostmourne is 7x but I heard it will last like 3 more months and I do not know much about the Lordaeron server .
I played Prot Warrior in ICC and Gnev is completely right. I can still clearly remember that Saurfang could almost oneshot me... Meanwhile the 2nd tank had less gear and was fine.

Cudno kako kazes da druid ima problem sa aggro, a za paladina to ne kazes. Ljudi koji igraju sve tank klase odlicno znaju da druid ima jaci aggro od paladina. Dalje, ti ne pravis razliku izmedju main tank i off tank. Paladin nikada ne moze biti main tank pored dk-a, druida, pa cak ni warriora. Jedino sto za paladina mozes da kazes je da je najbolji all around tank. To znaci da sve moze da radi lako, ali nije najprikladniji za vecinu stvari, tj, za vecinu stvari postoji bolji tank. Paladin je najbolji tank za 2 bossa u icc. Za sve ostale DK i Druid su mnogo bolji i laksi. Paladin ima najmanje encountera u kojima je najbolji tank, ali ima i najmanje encountera u kojima je najgori. DK, Druid imaji najvise encountera u kojima su najbolji, ali ima encountera u kojima su kanta. U tome je sustina. I na kraju krajeva, nije do klase nego do igraca. Ako si dobar tank brzo ce da te prepoznaju ma koju klasu igrao. Imam 2 bis dk tanka, 1 bis pala, 1 bis war, i 1 bis druid tank. Znam im svima prednosti i mane, i to vjesto koristim kada igram.

Im an old world of warcraft player, been playing on retail since pretbc and i quited after Legion, started replaying when classic vanila servers hit the game but everything turned out to be dead in the end. I want to restart playing but not on retail since its loosing players and the content is going from bad to worse. I was a Main healer since I started. I am wondering how is warmane as a community because I am interested to restart playing world of warcraft here.
Pretty huge community, lots of toxic no lifers also however. The trick to finding a maintainable and lovely social atmosphere is finding the right social, friendly, and non-toxic guild for you. It's possible to control the toxicity on a guild-wise level, but beyond it, it may get toxic but so is Retail WoW. The best advice is that Warmane is fantastic for WOTLK content in terms of being bug-free, the community as as toxic as Retail not better or worse. But it is less well governed since its free, the GMs are sluggish and unpaid so lack motivation and punctuality. So you must make your own group of friends and join a guild you love, try a few guilds first. Horde is definitely bigger and more PVE focused if that's your thing!
So you are saying that a bear can be BIS main tank when played correctly? I dunno what you precisely mean by "once you mastered the class, people will line up". Currently playing bear on a buffed private TBC server and am currently leveling a paladin to stay in the MT role, but staying bear would be the dream...
Hi gnev weird question can u tell me what is difference between pve and pvp gear? I cant go in raids bcs i have pvp items but i still do understand which is pve item and which is pvp item
Sur dud, PvP items have the resilience stat on them which is lowers your chance to be hit and crited by other players if I'm not mistaken. Other stats on that items might be good but resilience is just wasted so people give you shit for them. I have a gearing guide on my channel you can check out though and I hope it helps you out!
I don't think you have enough experience with each class to make a tier list. The first problem with the video is, you're making a tier list for the endgame raid, and you only show footage with your DK tanking and the second, while talking about other tanks the footage is only in dungeons and while talking about the paladins you are Holy....O_o Its fine if you're making a general list of tanks, but then again what you're saying and what you're showing doesn't match
Pala is best tank from the start to end Warrior is better than Dk and druid for half of the game and falls behind them in the end game. I can't say what I'd prefer between Dk And Dudu , they're pretty equal to me.
You do realize that Bear tanks and Prot warriors have near identical CDs and abilities? Lol. how can you rate them B-tier but rate the Prot Warrior as C-Tier? Warriors aren't a C-Tier tank, they are easily A-Tier if you actually have the skill to play them. The biggest problem with Prot Warrior in Vanilla/TBC was that they didn't have good AoE threat but that completely changed in WotLK. With Cleave, Shockwave, and Thunderclap, there AoE threat has greatly improved. If your ranking system is ranking them from easiest to hardest to play, then sure, a Prot Warrior is a C-Tier Class, otherwise your just shitting on the class for it being difficult to play.
The main problem with warriors is that they bring nothing to the table, their cooldowns are pretty good I would say, has better cooldowns then a prot pala, but it has next to 0 utility, any utility a prot war can do, a fury can do just as well, a druid brings the bleed buff, so its good for catless comps, plus it has combat res and innervate when not tanking the boss. Any competent raid leader would pick a druid over warrior. It really shines on a few fights tho, mainly the ones with many adds, it's by far the best fire tank for rs and with proper gear (and the most op spell, shockwave) it can tank anuub'arak adds indefinetly. It is a very fun tank to play tho, definetly my favourite if I look at flow of gameplay.
Basically every single tank can be an S tier, it depends on the player. Every single tank can clear all content, 30%, 0%, RS halion or Adds. This tier list basically makes 0 sense as you should be choosing the tanks that fit your comp and that are competent at that tank. If you had to choose between a great prot war or a brain dead dk, you'd just choose the prot war and find someone else to provide icy talons. Tanks are as replaceable as the dps that provides the same buff, its completely dependent on skill and not their utility. Only tank that is basically set in stone is prot pala off tank for ICC, but ofc that is also replaceable by a competent prot war since they can still do shamblings just as good.
2:18 Wrong, warriors were the worst tanks in TBC. Druids were the best, then paladins, and warriors only existed due to having spell reflect on some fights.
I can tell you werent in a WOTLK hardmode guild. Warriors are busted. Most single target TPS. Pretty much the only viable option for HM anub arak adds. Safeguard on Lich King phase 3 is broken. They have the best add kiting of any tank with piercing howl, shockwave and the best mobility. Shattering throw during Bloodlust.... The list goes on. Also you listing bloodrage as a CD pretty much assured you've never actually played one in wotlk.
But bloodrage is a CD soo who doesn't know warriors? hahahahaha funniest shit when you try to correct someone but don't know what you're talking about xD
@@k-boy1909 hes listing it like it's a tanking CD, which it isnt, hes never played as or with a good warrior tank in wotlk. A good warrior tank is basically required for off tank on HM LK and anub arak
@@johnd3901 No one takes warriors for LK. They suck compared to paladins. They only take them for the one fight in the expansion they are actually good on, Anub. And even then you can just have some random DPS warrior respec with some gear and do that job. You'd never want a prot warrior as a tank in general or in LK fight. Warrior is just an objectively much worse paladin.
@@icebox1954 warrior tank is the only tank that can stun interrupt every add enrage and safeguard every single devour cast on the MT phase 3. You can think whatever you want and use what ever MT you want but having a warrior co tank trivializes the only 2 encounters that are challenging in the entire expansion. Not to mention provide the single highest dps buff at zero cost.
@@johnd3901 There'll always be a warrior anyway so the armor debuff isn't relevant. Also, you saying those are the only two difficult bosses is as me saying LK is gg ez. It's just not true. Also, Anub can be trivialized by an off-spec warrior. That's not a plus for warrior tanks as you'll always just have a DPS do it. They'll do great DPS and the raid doesn't have to carry by far the worst tank for the rest of the expansion. If your best is being needed for one fight and only useful for the other then you're an awful tank. DKs are also needed for one fight, but is great for so many more than warriors. You're coping so hard it's affecting your rational thinking. Warrior is trash only suited for one fight in raids and is actually only good for fast clearing the super easy heroic dungeons.
I dont know if anybody will respond but Ive been trying to look for like a wow tutorial forever and its impossible to find one (maybe im just not looking in the right place but) I was wondering if really anybody could give me tips on how to play I just turned 15 and one of my friends showed me warmane so I wanted to try it out but its really confusing not knowing what to do so if I could get some help that would be great :D
