Magufuli won the Presidential seat in both campaigns, Hon. Samia Suluhu Hassan became the Vice-president of Tanzania. She is the Late President Magufuli's choice. There are recorded statements made as to why he had chosen her; he acknowledged her Leadership capabilities. Our Constitution provides that in case the President of the United Republic of Tanzania cannot continue in that position, the Vice-president shall be sworn in, and take the position of President. When President Magufuli died, the Presidential baton had to be passed on to the then Vice-President Samia Suluhu Hassan. That's what Tanzania's Constitution requires. Listen to her speech carefully; it is our Constitution, and not anyone out there who dictates this. Our President Samia Suluhu Hassan is no one's puppet.
