Man only clamping 9k out of the 12k aint good. But at least your setup is very efficient. I just bought a 90ah cmax and have a 300 amp alt for a jp83 @ .5
@TheGratefulBard
@TheGratefulBard 9 месяцев назад
It must be those 4 inch 8 layer coils 2 subs will cause a lot of rise and those amps are rated for 12,000w at .5 ohm which means you would have to wire to .25 ohm to ever see anything close to that but on an spl burp it could be viable

It's impressive since the cells are only charged to about 60%-70% (3.8v each). If you could get them to 16v (4.0v each) you'd be about 90% charged. It's just really difficult to charge them that high.

Can you please tell me what the proper charging procedure is for car audio lithium batteries im brand new to lithium and just purchased a 74AH lev60 pro V2 from jag35 for my first EVER lithium battery to learn with and deal with a hands on experience since there is so much misinformation about lithium out there im currently running a CXA 1800.1 on two Q-class L7 12's but I want to upgrade to a dual solo x setup so im trying to get my power supply in place before getting anything else I do want to say my 2019 Toyota Camry has the ONBUS LINBUS electronics build so upgrading my alternator is almost impossible without serious customization and not something I want to do for a daily driver non competitive build i just want to slam in my daily so upgrading my battery system is really my only option i also got a ioxus ultra cap battery to help stabilize the voltage after the swap from the lead acid i just don't know how often im supposed to balance and charge/top off or if I even really need to i know my car will charge it to 13.8 steady being a newer car with all 0 gauge OFC wiring but do i need to regularly top it off to 14.4-.6 for good battery conditioning I know the battery itself will outlast the car probably even without conditioning from what I've read and watched on RU-vid my main reasoning for asking is safety i don't know that much about lithium and I hear all this stuff about how undercharging and overcharging and other stuff like having or not having a bms etc etc and I am wanting to set it up to where I don't have to worry about anything happening while im driving around playing for extended periods of time 1-3 hours sometimes is it even safe to use lithium like that for long constant periods cant it get hot and explode i may be way overthinking it especially with all the conflicting things I have read about it but I want to be sure before I spend all weekend making the swap running wire and everything only to have to swap back because of a safety issue any advice would be greatly appreciated
@BIGJURAY20
@BIGJURAY20 8 месяцев назад
I'm not familiar with the cells you have but you should find out the minimum and maximum charging voltage for your cells. With the cells i have each needs 3.7-4.2v which means the battery can see a minimum of 14.8v and a maximum of 16.8v
@BIGJURAY20
@BIGJURAY20 8 месяцев назад
You are definitely overthinking things. Any battery no matter the type has it's charging voltage any thing below the charging voltage or over the recommended charging voltage can potentially kill the cells. Batteries can have a long lifespan but only if the user takes care of it. Before running Lithium of any kind you should definitely do your research. It's safe to run but some types shouldn't be used for Audio use do to the charge and discharge rate as well as many other factors
@BIGJURAY20
@BIGJURAY20 8 месяцев назад
With your Toyota Camry if you are charging at 13.8v and decided to run similar cells to mines which needs a minimum of 14.8v you would eventually kill the battery entirely. It wouldn't go bad right away but the lifespan will be shortened

@@BIGJURAY20 these are the lev60 prismatic cells it says maximum charging voltage is 14.6 recommend 14.4-14.5 but when I asked they told me that that's just the recommended max charging voltage and that the nominal resting voltage would be almost a perfect match for my cars 13.8 system which they told me works similar in the aspect that 13.8 is my cars resting voltage and that actually the alternator is probably already pushing 14.4 to get a resting voltage of 13.8-13.9 and also I believe that even 13.8 is over the minimum requirement for the cells I can't remember everything it's a lot to learn in the timeframe I have been studying it but if all I have to worry about is making sure it's in requirements from the manufacturer I should be good on everything the cells are properly compressed with insulated material in between balancer etc. with enclosure for the cells it's a drop in model supposedly safe for stock charging system but like I said I don't know that much about it so they could have told me anything to sell the product I have however been in contact with others on here running the same cells with nothing more than simple wire and fuses and aren't having any problems with there stock alternator I myself though am very particular in wanting everything to be perfect and therefore overthink everything I also cross referenced the charging range and he didn't lie about that part at least it is 14.6 maximum recommended 14.4 to be safe

45ah would work for daily but if u ever want to upgrade power you'd need more amp hour. 45ah is good for around 10k watts and 90ah around 20k watts of power
