The Taramps Smart 3 came in today! And I'm so happy it did! I missed having one! I did a comparison of the Skar rp 2000.1d vs Taramps Smart 3. Personally I think the Taramps won. Some of you wonder what I mean when I compare a 2000 rms amp to a 3000 rms amp. I should have elaborated more in my video. So sorry about that. I have learned a lot since this video. And I go into more detail in my video's now! But back to the comparison. What I meant. Was that the sound quality of one amp vs the other! I knew the Taramps would be more powerful. But when tuning a amp at a moderate volume level. I listen to the difference in the sound the sub is putting out hook to different amps. I set the amps at same voltage! Or atleast I try to. Lol🤣 So please forgive me if I didn't say the correct question. Like I said I have gotten a lot better. I also pay for a video editor now! My video's are way better!So plz subscribe! Just installed a 1200 watt tramp on two 15-in Rockford Fosgate completely amazed how small this amp is and the power it puts out the efficiency is very good also

I love your channel and I'm not trying to brand bash but I've noticed that Taramps quality control has been suspect on many occasions but when they work they work great I know you've moved up to bigger things now but I was just saying 👍🏽👊🏽✌🏽💯

I just did about the same thing. I went from a RP 2000.1D to a Recoil Dii3300.1D. I'm using a single Duall 2 Ohm 12" VXF in a custom tuned @ 29hz 1.8 cu ft box. It slaps pretty hard. Amazed I haven't fried the VXF as it's rated for 1500 RMS.

My head unit has a subwoofer level on 0 it shuts my subwoofer off on max it is way louder and my amp don't clip. By the way I love your new Taramp amp👍thumbs up for Taramp.

Great video man! I like Taramps I'm gonna upgrade my amp to the smart 3. I've got the 800x4 for my mids and I love it, you should get one for your mids

I use a $75 walmart JVC head unit it's all u need if u set it up right but I like this pioneer it's worth the few extra bux for all the extra features if u know how to use them. I have the high & low pass knobs all the way off, gain about a third the way up, then set my head unit low pass at 70hz, no bass boost everything at 0 for my 2 Sundown U Series 15s and it's money.

How far is the gain adjusted on the skar and Taramps? I’ve had skar and tar amps and noticed I’ve had to have mine close to max to just even make it sound good.

I want to get the smart 5. Hopefully it'll do me good. I have two Sundown x10v3. 2000 watts RMS. I was looking for a good amp at a good price. Some companies amplifiers are super expensive.

Other than the 2nd fan is there any difference between the smart 3 and a regular taramp HD 3000 ????? I'm finally pulling my rp 2k out this week and swapping it for the taramp. I had a set back due to the so called 0 gauge inputs so I purchased the 1/0 adapters and found out the hard way that I had to use a 1/0 to 4 gauge reducer.

Is the charging system upgraded in that car? (battery/batteries, alternator, big 3) If stock charging system, that could have something to do with it. Anything more than (around) 1,500 watts RMS, it's needed.

I had a Pioneer 9601, 1200rms at 1ohm. Then I switched over the the taramps hd3k and damn what a difference. My 1200rms soundqubed 10" is loving the extra power

Did you do the big 3 upgrade? That alternator stock wont last long. Also wolfram amp alot better for longevity

Hey man I'm not sure if u still get on here or not but I just got 2 american bass xfl 1244s and the smart 3k in 4.5 cubic ft box tuned @ 34 hertz gonna do 0 gauge knukonceptz and big three plan on a agm battery and probably 250 amp alt . Any suggestion on tuning the amp I figured the settings would be close to what u had

would urecommend me this taramps 2k amp for my skar zvx8? currently have them on a skar RP1500.1 but i know/feel they can take more they don’t really flex as how ive seen other set ups

I had a bad experience with the smart 3. I had borh fans stop working and it would cut off at high volume. Had it fed with 0 gauge wire and proper electrical. Gain was at a quarter no bass boost. Switched it out for a audiopipe 3k and no more problems. Think I got a defective one.

I just got a Smart 3 ordered to Australia. I can't believe I paid $350aud for first my pioneer 800w amp. Which only does rated at 14.5v or otherwise it limits itself. I paid $450aud for taramps 3k, I have to rockford subs wired to 1ohm and they are rated only 400rms each. Im thinking I'll rewire to 4ohm load to get max efficiency from amp. I'll probably run around 1000 watts :) great video

I got my new taramps 8k MD and recently buy 0 gauge cable for that Amp and 2 Kenwood 12s, 4ohm 1000w and just 110amp alternator and just one everstart battery do you think is too much Amp for my car, is a buick lesabre 2001

They now have a taramps model just came out this month called the big boss 3k 5k. 8k the big boss 3k is 339 bux and is stable from . 5 to whatever high u wanna go but a . 5 this 3k rated amp 8k on bursts of power and like 5500 RMS at 1 ohm 6500 at . 5 RMS power these specific amps are supposed to be made from higher grade parts inside.

Bruh, I literally got the identical system you got lol. And just bought the smart 3 today. And I have the exact dual amp, just haven't hooked it up yet. That's wild lol

Had mine for a while just put it in earlier today and all the gains are down plus need to get 0 gage Skar kit the svrs hit way harder than the hifonics 2000 Brutus.

And just as a public service announcement the STINGER brand wire gage reducer terminals fit perfect in these amps I went thru 3 sets before buying ones that would fit. The Stingers are by far the best quality out of the 3 tho

I like the skars just because of sound quality. A skar rp3500.1 would be what you want for a cleaner sound but some ppl like punchier bass over sound quality, it's apples and oranges on what you prefer sound wise. I just wonder if the Bass 3k would sound more like a Skar 3500...🤔

Why do you have 2 RCAs connected to the taramps isn't the smart amp rcas only one input and the bottom one an output?

Just upgraded from an rp2000.1 to a taramps smart 3 , clarity , and sound quality is way better , and the smart 3 seems to be much more efficient as far as voltage drop goes

I've gotten stickers with my taramps but never in 5 amps I bought never have gotten and kind of manual

Im running 2 skar ddx-10 subs and a taramps big boss 3k I'm planning on getting a third sub and a new box sometime soon but the only boxes i can find are over 1000$

He's right about the build quality there's nothing to these things the bottom plate is paper thin. But that's what keeps them cheap so as long as you understand & can live with the trade off these are awesome lil amps but because they're so fragile & sensitive I wouldn't necessarily recommend these amps or prob any brazilian amp to beginners if you're just starting out jus get a Korean amp til u get ur feet wet they stand up to abuse (and errors) much better. Matter of fact I had the same issue with the knobs on my smart 3. They all worked just fine no static or cutting out but they were all out of whack just like that.

Can u run the smart 3 on regular 12v car supply I wanna get one but don't really have the means to upgrade the electrical in my ride but really wanna hook up but don't wanna blow it up being underpowered? I just have stock electrical

I just had my music put in(usually do myself) I had a taramp 3k and a harmony 1500 the guy that installed my music went with the harmony instead of the 3k, I asked why he said the amp wants to much I’d have to upgrade my electrical. Should I just hook it up anyways or upgrade my electrical?

I have a 2006 Lincoln navigator The system that I'm thinking about getting is tar amp smart 5K and two kicker L7Q class 12s I mean I want people here and me coming a block away, my concern is I have such a big SUV I just don't know if two twelves is going to be enough base back in the 90s I had 2 12in JL audios in my trunk and it damn near rattled my trunk off but this is a huge SUV what do you think??
