I've been using throttle percent. In the absence of voltage or current sensors it is a way to prevent running the battery too low. If it is windy then I use higher throttle which uses the battery more quickly so faster count down and shorter flight is safer.
A neat trick is to set your disarm switch (flipping your arm switch back to the disarm state) as a flight reset in the Special Functions menu. No more having to manually reset your flight timers every single flight!
Does anyone know if you can mix ESC's I blew a 20A Simonk and now having trouble getting another off eBay. I got refunded for the first now the next lot are late. I have just took a week off to go flying. Now it looks like a waste. I could cancel my hols but I found an RC shop 15 miles away that sell little bee 20amp. If I bought one of these would it be OK. Or do they all have to be the same.
I use one of the special functions bound to the trainer switch as a quick reset for all the timers. It's a bit less fiddly than holding down and resetting each one. Th% is also interesting as it counts down faster the more throttle you use, so if you spend more time at high throttle you'll reach zero quicker than pootling around on half throttle.
+Alexey Saulin Ths runs the timer when the throttle isn't at idle so I'd check the calibration of the throttle and make sure it's not setup to be just 'on'. Best of luck!
how do I get my radio to read out rssi values and warnings with voice? And as well as a voice countdown instead of beebs and haptics. my taranis x9d plus is running on version 2.1.8
We have a video on the amber voice pack that shows some of this. Sadly the sound pack doesn't seem to include sounds files for things like RSSI to allow you to make useful alerts..
