Don't take this lightly when I say I'd have this over ANY modern performance car! It's simply gorgeous!

Triumph six always sound great. This one sounds fantastic. Great to see the potential of these cars realised. They are wonderful cars . They are surprisingly good rough road cars and are very strong. love em !

Yet again, magnificent. Lucas injection allied to a long-stroke six. A match made in heaven. Miss my old stock PI. Superb performance car that's hugely undervalued.

Great Video. Lovely sounding engine. I hope the damage at the front is not that bad.

Fabulous just fabulous. How is it a 2.7 litre six can sound like a much bigger engine. The Triumph six has magic sound.

I guess the missing headlight makes the car more 'aerodynamic'..!!.

it has been taken out so that a pipe can take the light's place and can channel air to the injection. Not uncommon actually

@@xanderfrench4011 So I was right!! the missing headlight DOES make the car go faster!!!

Great little pommie mobile . . . could someone tell us about its setup & specs? Good to see this elegant old timer mixing it on the rougn & twisty roads.

Hey Mark. She is a 69 genuine Mk 1 PI, but had some work done! 2.7 running new rods and pistons, Le Mans spec cam with matched porting and polishing, sitting at about 11.5:1 compression and running recessed copper o-rings and copper inter-meshed head gasket, oil cooler, Supra 5 speed gearbox, power-steering rack (Mk 2), Skyline R32 4 wheel disk brakes, Jag tail shaft, 3.7 LSD, CV rear half shafts and 15" allows shod with Toyo R888's. If you check out Cave Racing on Facebook you can find all the details and the build history and prep for Targa Tas 2019. Car ran in 2016 also. We split the pinion in the dif on the second day and finished up sourcing an open dif from an old Mk1 Bash Car in a shed. That, the slippery roads and some driver error led to the excursion into the creek on day 5 of the Rally. All good and we still finished and won a plate for first in class. Cave Racing run a pair of Triumphs and both ran well in Targa - the other is a TR8.
